I'll be back to rewatch this with you later, but I just came here to say a few things: -Taeyang was fucking insane LOL He was jumping all over the place and still sounds so damn amazing 🤣 -Daesung being the first person to introduce the trot genre to Coachella is hilarious lmaooo Why is this man so funny in every language 😂 -Hopefully next week we will get an even better stage since it looked like there were some technical issues (GD kept fiddling with the earpiece), sometimes the stage was too dark and you could barely see the members during some of the camera shots haha Also, I had a full-blown crashout when they sang Still Life and kept TOP's part and they were all looking up at the moon... I couldn't even hear the rest of the song LOL There was a fancam that caught GD tearing up and even Taeyang was slightly off-pitch for a bit because he got emotional 😭 ---------------- Coming back after watching the video: -During LOSER, GD changed one sentence of his rap verse: from "I want to go back to my childhood" to "I want to go back to where I came from" 🥲 (it's TOP's last line of his rap verse in the same song) -The song after Daesung's solo is Home Sweet Home (GD solo track feat. Taeyang and Daesung). This was supposed to be a BIGBANG song but GD later decided to release it as a solo track in his newest album and name the other two members as a featuring instead. This is just my personal opinion, but I think this song was written with TOP in mind because the first rap verse sounded unusually deep (in tone) for GD, even the adlibs were done in a very deep voice. Also, I think he would have released the song under BIGBANG and not as 3 separate names if he wasn't waiting for him 😔 -The 3 members have always been waiting for TOP to come back, they were never concerned about his scandal. When GD held his fan meeting earlier this year, there was a short VCR segment which briefly showed a parody of a popular Korean snack that included the slogan "BIGBANG 4EVER" with four different mascot characters on it as well. But TOP has made it very clear that he's not coming back because he doesn't want his scandal to tarnish the group's image + he wants to make music for himself now. VIPs cried listening to some of the songs in his new album that he wrote specifically about leaving the group. It was very clear that he's extremely sad about leaving, but he felt like he had to if he wants to prioritize his own mental health and also protect the three members from being negatively associated with him. All three of them respected his decision and supported his solo album release last week on Instagram (: Also a fun fact: During GD's last appearance at ZIP DAESUNG (the episode with his best friend Soohyuk), he actually tried to promote TOP's solo album with a word play sneakily, and a lot of Koreans caught it 😂 -Honestly I think this week's set is them officially saying goodbye to TOP. Still, it's so sweet that they cut out all of his parts in every other song but specifically chose to sing Still Life and retain his entire rap verse and vocals without singing over it. Still Life is the only song recorded by OT4 (released in 2022) and it was never performed live until today since they never promoted the song at all... It felt like they were saying his voice can never be replaced. It was TOP's dream to perform in Coachella in 2020 but it got cancelled due to COVID19, now at least his voice is with them for one night 🥹 I'm just so proud of the three of them, this is technically their first official comeback as a group in nearly 10 years and they still never fail to exceed our expectations ;_; My personal prediction is that there might be quite a bit of switch-ups for next week's performance to set a more celebratory tone (maybe a new song? fingers crossed) for upcoming group activities!

I stayed up to watch it that night. I was hoping you hear some trot from Daesung but when it started with Universe I thought that they decided that that song fit the stage more but when Hando Chogua started, I was so happy.
