Aggiornamento importante sulla riproduzione dei video / Important update on video playback (Patreon)

Nelle ultime settimane Vimeo sta disattivando in modo permanentemente gli acconut di tanti patreon creator che lo utilizzavano come piattaforme per i video.

Ciò sta succedendo anche a me e stanno chiudendo i diversi account che ospitavano la maggior parte del nostro archivio video, inclusi molti vecchi contenuti nuove e meno nuovi.

La chiusura è avvenuta nell’ambito di una più ampia ondata di enforcement legata alle policy della piattaforma.

Purtroppo tutto è successo senza un reale periodo di transizione, e questo sta causando la temporanea indisponibilità di alcuni post.

🤞🏻 La buona notizia è che nessun contenuto è andato perso.

Ho già iniziato a migrare i video di Simona non solo radio, verso un nuovo sistema indipendente, e tutti i nuovi post pubblicati utilizzeranno questa nuova infrastruttura.

Ora sto estendendo la migrazione all’intero archivio.

Cosa succederà adesso:

👉 Il nuovo sistema è in fase di test ed i post stanno venendo aggiornati uno per uno con il nuovo sistema di riproduzione che con il tempo diventerà più semplice e stabile.

👉 La migrazione richiederà un po’ di tempo perché coinvolge oltre 1500 post archiviati in locale, ma il lavoro è già in corso.

🤞🏻 Il nuovo sistema ci permetterà di avere molta più stabilità e controllo nel lungo periodo, riducendo drasticamente il rischio che problemi simili possano ripetersi in futuro.

E naturalmente speriamo di poter accedere molto presto anche al nuovo sistema di hosting video nativo di Patreon per pagine NSFW, perché potrebbe davvero rappresentare un enorme cambiamento per creator come noi.

In recent weeks, Vimeo has been permanently deactivating the accounts of many Patreon creators who used it as a platform for videos.

This is happening to me too, and they're closing the various accounts that hosted most of our video archive, including much old, new, and older content.

The closure came as part of a broader wave of enforcement related to the platform's policies.

Unfortunately, this all happened without a real transition period, and this is causing some posts to be temporarily unavailable.

🤞🏻 The good news is that no content has been lost.

I've already started migrating Simona's non solo radio videos to a new, independent system, and all new posts published will use this new infrastructure.

I'm now extending the migration to the entire archive.

What's next:

👉 The new system is being tested, and posts are being updated one by one with the new playback system, which will become simpler and more stable over time.

👉 The migration will take some time because it involves over 1,500 locally archived posts, but work is already underway.

🤞🏻 The new system will allow us to have much more stability and control in the long term, drastically reducing the risk of similar issues recurring in the future.

And of course, we hope to be able to access Patreon's new native video hosting system for NSFW pages very soon, as it could truly represent a huge change for creators like us.
