Daily Comics Day!! Feauring: my cats' official names (y'know, the ones on their birth certificates). (Patreon)

Happy Friday, folks!! I've got four dailies for you this week. I'm aiming to have three dailies and three Elephant Town pages ready to share every week, but I'll probably make more than three dailies pretty often, because I love making them so much.
Recently someone mentioned the silly names given to pets before their forever humans rebrand them with other silly names, so I made a comic about mine, starting with the adoption listing for Ollie:
Fennel also waited many months to SHOW me this. Lured me in with her sweet disposition before she released her true self (teeth) (on my arms) (at least it's not electrical wires).
Here's the original art for this comic if ya want it! Remember to scroll down for your 50% off coupon code!
Ollie's the only cat I ever adopted from a shelter, and I'm kicking myself that I can't find the photo they posted on his listing, because he was SO rocks-in-the-head-lookin'. But I've got photos of him and Pip the literal first days I saw them:
My friends Jon and Amanda raised Fennel's litter on their porch. We were still in the midst of early Covid confusion, so they invited me and Andrew to come sit 6 feet apart from each other outside, and handle the kittens to help socialize them. It's a favorite Covid-era memory of mine. I had no idea I'd adopt this little nibbler a couple years later.
Back to the present! Where my cats are LARGE.
Last weekend we had our first frost warning, so...
Go figure, the frost didn't kill anything, and the cosmos I didn't cut down are still just as alive and vibrant as ever. So I still get this sweet surprise on occasional mornings!
I was going to take a photo to show you how cute it is, but it would just look like a bee on a flower, and you'd have to just trust me that it didn't move for 40 minutes. So, your imagination might be better anyway.
Here's the original art if you'd like it!
I couldn't get this idea out of my head last week, so:
I could make a whole book about if Pip had human hands (but in reality, he'd just tuck his hands into his body and sleep on them).
For the record, if I could cast a Human Hands spell on Pip, I wouldn't be so rude as to give him caucasian-toned flesh-hands. But it was funnier for the comic.
Do you like how I didn't say one word about my dead car yet?? Wanna know why?
I got a call from the shop:
(There's more to deal with, like how this affects my Kia warranty, yadda yadda yadda, but this is better than taking them to court, so I WILL TAKE IT!!)
Here's the original art, if you can relate to having a good cathartic cry! Remember to use DAILYSMILE50 at checkout for your well-earned 50% off on anything in the Original Comics Art section! As a thank-you for being here and making these comics possible. :)
And a final update on Elephant Town: it'll be November 2nd. The first three pages are ready, I have good reasons to delay it another month, I won't get into it because it's all very boring, I'm just grateful for your patience and can't wait to start this dang thing after a month full of hiccups. (You'll hear all about the hiccups soon, because once they're no longer hiccups they'll graduate into things that are interesting. Until then, I'll spare you!)
Please spend a little time this weekend thinking about what your favorite non-human creature would be like if they had human hands. And feel free to share what they would do if you feel so moved. (Silly first-given names of pets also very welcome!)
Have a pleasant one-week-til-Halloween weekend, folks! 🎃
