We had this gal back in last night! She's great, she picks such good poses.

Bonus: she said the last pose was comfortable, so you'll probably see more of that one next week!

I posted that one on my art account on Insta (I always post one or two of these up there, y'all get the rest of the goodies) and mentioned the little upside-down face trick. In case you've never done it, drawing an upside-down face like this WITHOUT making the person look like a goddamn monster is like, impossible. I should've taken a picture of my first sketch of her face, it was atrocious.

When you draw something you're familiar with upside-down, draw it as you see it first, then flip the paper so you're looking at the subject rightside-up, the way you normally do. It will probably look REAL BAD. Fix the shapes while you're there, then keep flipping the paper back and forth, drawing what you see and drawing what you think you see.

Is it cheating? I dunno. I don't think it is. I think it's just a good way to avoid making someone's face look like it was dragged out of a swamp, which seems like the nice thing to do.

I'm doing Inktober again this year, but I didn't wanna bombard y'all with daily updates, so you'll see them in the form of little collected posts soon! <3
