Figure Drawing Workshop at ISCA (Patreon)

Hey, figure drawing gang! I'm always crossing my fingers that there will be a figure drawing session during the caricature convention week, and luckily, I happened to sit in on the right workshop for it this time.

My friend Nolan Harris ran a workshop on dynamic figure drawing, and had a few people come up on stage to draw near the end. These were mostly 5-minute poses.

Notice how I punched up each pose a little bit to make it more interesting? You'll see how that played into the rest of my full-figure paintings when I post them!

The bottom ones are a bunch of sketches I didn't remember doing! It's something I love about using the iPad to sketch; I think of digital sketches as so disposable, I forget I ever did them. You know when you have a really nice sketchbook and you're too scared to sketch in it? There's something performative about it, right? Sketching on my tablet feels like a real opportunity to sketch and play without worrying about whether someone will see it. (Ha, then I show them to you, go figure!)

Thought I'd share with you guys, especially since we had to bail on figure drawing a couple of weeks ago! Enjoy!
