If I've seemed quiet this week it's because I've been trying to get all the art and text together to announce Elephant Town!

I finally updated the thank-you landing page for new patrons, which I hadn't changed since I started on Patreon. It still had a drawing of Smudge on it, RIP, so I figured I'd let Pip take the spotlight and show off his artistic skills.

Actually all I've drawn all week is cats! Drawing cats, planning, and writing promotional material. I can't complain about at least one of those things. Here's the little picture of Pip I drew for the top of my newsletters (going out shortly, click here if you wanna be on it)...

... and my new avatar for Patreon. I don't even know this cat's name yet. He's like a fluffy fat Ellie.

All of these were done with my favorite Zebra brush pens and Kuretake Zig Clean Color brushes for the greys.

It completely slipped my mind to give you guys this week's coloring book page that I did for my friend Adam Booth! So I'm attaching that one and next week's here. These go along with the last of his online storytelling concerts - Mother Golden, and The Magic Fish - so if you'd like to know the context, he's still doing shows today and next Monday and Tuesday!

Of course, if you make up your own story for these, you're obligated to tell me. Especially for the yelling bread in the oven one.

Okay TIME TO START ELEPHANT TOWN! (Do you also have a hard time typing "elephant" because I have to retype that word like five times before I get it right.)

OMG. I hadn't even read this one when I commented on the other post, so you are obviously already aware of that law... 😁

So two muffins are sitting in an oven. One muffin says, damn, it's getting hot in here. The other muffin responds "holy shit a talking muffin!"

As for the house overflowing with clothes, that's just the story of every knitter in lockdown right now.

Pip has simply rejected academic representationalism, choosing instead to use the canvas to articulate movement through time.

This was SO obvious I can't believe I didn't recognize his genius on my own.

He's obvious at the stage where he should hand off the actual painting chores to studio workers so he can focus on personal appearances and brand-building. You know...like a _real_ artist.

I do not have a hard time typing "elephant" but I also went to and grew up with an alumna from Tufts University and our mascot is Jumbo the elephant, sooo... I may not be the best statistic. ;)
