Feel free to use the hiss panel as "a mood." (Do we still say "a mood?" Am I old now?)

Special thanks to my interactive patrons for rolling the dice for me on the cat's actions! If y'all hadn't been so pro-purring, you would've just gotten biting, scratching, and/or hissing. So you can thank yourselves for changing the kitty course, for whatever little good it brought in the end. ;)

I really like the way you handled the interaction with the cat. Paul clearly doesn't know Jack about cat psychology. I'd hiss too if you tried to drop your giant mitt on top of my head. :)

Captain Awesome

He's kind of desperate, and that'll trigger creepy vibes every time. Doesn't help that he seemingly followed her home. That's s big ol' no no.

shadowscribble

I suspect framing her so we (i.e. he) only saw her body was deliberate. That wasn't a "who is that" look on his face.

ZekeStaright

I think we say it's a Mood because we're old?

Monica Gallagher

I've been watching too much True Crime, I got SUPER nervous at him following her home!

Douglas Appelt

When the cat frowned, I saw a "Miss Sakaki/Azumanga Daioh" moment coming! :D

Ruth Merriam

Okay, so not Kris (someone mentioned a Meagan, which may be a character from above my pay grade). Definitely that old city communal alley parking with a dumpster, though. OMG, the cat! There's been a cat coming in to our house for about 6 years now through our cat doors. Our last cat passed away in October but I'm still feeding Not Our Cat when she shows up. Up until a few months ago, the cat in your comic was pretty much NOC's behavior. Now I can sometimes pet her. She even occasionally goes upstairs and hangs out on furniture. But man oh man, she does *not* like to be touched. Also, I have guilt over campaigning for biting. But Paul is still a stalking, creepy, self-loathing/self-fulfilling prophecy icky character even if he did try to make nice on the alley cat.

Minzoku Bokumetsu

David Willis's cat has more black than that! ...wait is there a DIFFERENT Miss Sasaki =o

Douglas Appelt

LOL! David's cat is named after the girl named Sakaki in Azumanga Daioh, who is always trying to be friends with a cat, but it always bites her instead of letting her pet it.

Jessica Miller

Maybe I was looking at it wrong, but was he? I mean he took out the trash, and she parked between his place and the dumpster, right? I don't think he looks predatory, just sad.

Araceli

I dunno man, if I didn't know the guy and was walking by myself and found this dude behind me, he'd look predatory to ME

Monica Gallagher

I think it was him approaching her that skeeved me out :|

dcorsetto

Just casually walking behind someone who shares your parking lot! Except WITH THIS FACE.

Cab

He's such a creepo!

E

I think you have effectively gotten creepy creeper dude across :) I loath this person. :)

Sayer

The top two panels are what really sell the wrongness of this near encounter...like he's too terrified to talk to a woman, so what was his plan exactly?

NJGR

You don't meet people by following them to a house in the dark. That's just ... no. I was SUPER nervous about what the heck was going on and so glad she wasn't going to home to an empty house. :(
