Maybe this person is a patron? (If you are, sorry I drew you as Generic Lady, I think you didn't look anything like this!) Either way, if you see me in the wild, always say hello, it makes my day. <3

Look at this haul!!

We tried a bunch of them at Art Night that night, especially these desserts, which I can't have because The Gluten, so I asked my friends to describe them for me:

The Panettone was a hit! The San Roque was a... hit or miss! Mostly a miss. It sounded really good - layered cookies with caramel, pineapple, and peanut fillings - so I'm going to pretend that I would have loved it.

I haven't tried the Emoliente yet, but this is the one with all the suspicious-sounding ingredients that I can't wait to drink/curse.

I know at least one person here is coming to my Halloween party this Saturday, so sorry for the mild spoilers, but:

My caffeine substitute that morning:

I asked Luke to pick up some candy for Tuesday's trick-or-treaters, with a lean toward "the good chocolate" and "Nerds," and the only Nerds he could find were these Nerds clusters? They were, unfortunately, GOOD.

I guess this topic is evergreen because I keep writing about it. If my back had a journal, it would write about it, too, but not as nicely.

Ugh, the Nerd Clusters are SO good. It's a problem.

I *need* to know what the deal is with the Inca Kola (and why it's yellow and not brown)

Bri Spider

the photo of your halloween costume genuinely made me laugh out loud! fantastic

allanfranta

You can have a tisane! How fancy!

kaitou

Remind me not to get on your bad side; I'm already cursed enough.

Ken Carlile

Saw the pic of the halloween costume and thought, "Yup, that'd do it."

Once I saw a patient while walking down the street. Next time she came in, her first statement was "You exist outside this office!" It's so funny how abstract our conceptions can be of people we know in narrow ways. I'm grateful for having met you in person a few times (always at SPX); it definitely deepens and enriches how I experience your art and leaves me deeply grateful for the generosity it expresses.

I love Pip so much! Also Inca Kola is delicious (and not cola) but I have never understood why it needs to be That Color. It's like caffeinated creme soda.

Chris Driggers

Inca Cola! That stuff is sooo good but what’s up with that color? 🤣🤣. Brought me back to my own visit to Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu. Inca Cola, coca tea, and pisco sours!

MaryAnne Glazar

Don't open that door! Also, why do cats take their half of the bed in the middle? I'm the big animal. dammit...

Keith Bass

LOL, I had the opposite reaction to the Inca Cola. To me it tastes like liquid Bazooka bubble gum--not to my taste at all. Coca tea and Pisco sours, on the other hand...

Kevin Ruderman

I'm impressed that "Generic Maybe Patron Lady" knew how to spell your name. ;-)

Because it's base of the recipe is made of the herb "Hierba Luisa", the translation I found is "Lemon Beebrush".

Btw, in case you guys are wondering why Inca Kola is yellow, it's because the base of the recipe is made of the herb "Hierba Luisa", the translation I found for it is "Lemon Beebrush".

Fabulous costume with bonus points for scaring its maker in the night. And I want to rub Pip's belleh because Katsura does that same pose with the otter paws and it's just impossible to resist.

I am loving all of this, if only for the selfish reason I see so much of myself in your Dailies and in ET! ... It's been awhile since I've checked in, because I somehow mucked up my Patreon membership (without even trying: this proves me a techno-dodo!).
