⚠️ Troubleshooting Checklist for MEGA File Access
If you cannot access the file even after entering the correct URL and password, the issue is likely caused by outdated browser data or a minor input error. Please try the following steps in order:
-
Check Password Input (Hidden characters/spaces)
Check for accidental spaces at the beginning or end:
When copying and pasting, invisible spaces are often included by mistake. Please double-check and delete any blank spaces before or after the password.Ensure all characters are half-width (Alphanumeric):
Make sure you are not using full-width characters (often caused by Japanese input settings). Enter all letters, numbers, and symbols in half-width standard text. -
Avoid Outdated Browser Data (Cookies)
Open in an “Incognito / Private Window”:
This is the most common fix. Browser history, old data (Cookies), or ad-blockers can interfere with MEGA’s system. Please open a new “Incognito” or “Private” window in your browser, paste the URL there, and try again. -
Change Your Browser or Use the App
Try a different browser:
If you are currently using Chrome or Safari, try switching to a different browser like Edge or Firefox.Use the MEGA App (If on a smartphone):
Mobile browsers sometimes fail to process MEGA’s decryption properly. Please download the official “MEGA app” from the App Store or Google Play and try opening the link through the app. -
Check Your Network Environment
Switch your network (Wi-Fi ⇔ Mobile Data):
Some company or school Wi-Fi networks block MEGA due to security restrictions. If you are on a smartphone, please turn off Wi-Fi and try using your mobile data (4G/5G).
