5e Monster Drop: Gobbling Monstrosities (Patreon)

Adventurer and professional monster handler, Deacon, has headed out on a late Autumn expedition, discovering a world of dominated by everyone's season treat, Turkeys. From the Half turkey, half lizard Turkatrice, to the unstoppable titan Turkrasque, learn about Deacons weird and wonderful encounters with these gobbling monsters!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I am personally based in the UK, but get to enjoy lost of second hand stories from my friends and family over in the US, so when I realized that I would be shifting over focus to the patreon in November it sparked a very simple and silly idea. Turkey monsters.

Chickens get all the glory with the monster creations, and if you arn't going to give the spotlight to their bigger, bulkier siblings in November, when can you?! The cockatrice was instantly a creature I knew I had to recreate, and when you swap the poultry have of that beast, what changes? Turkey's signature Gobble is so iconic, how could it not play a big part in its design? Plus, there was something about GM's getting to gobble at their players then have them turn to stone, that was way too funny to pass up.

As for the others, well Turkeys are often compared to dinosaurs, with their walk, large size and Jurassic personality, I had to take on the biggest, meanest and most iconic "dinosaur" in D&D. Something about mountains shaking, the earth cracking, as a giant Turkey waddles through whole civilizations will never NOT be funny to me. As for the Turdragon... I think it just sounded so much like the family favorite Turducken, I couldn't resist!

As you will also notice, I am trying out a different format, I love me an in universe story, and wanted to take you all on a journey with our content, so expect more adventures from Deacon, as well as some other characters showing up for people to learn about. For those that have read Cyran's Magnificent Walking Marketplace, its a chance to catch up with old friends, for those newer to my content, take the chance dive into a whole new world of stories! Would people be interested in some more content around our characters? Perhaps a profile introducing our favorite himbo, Dryathrall Ranger?

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the Turkey monsters, and I look forward to the next update!
