Slagterror, Armour of Aggressive Thirst and more! November's Item Drop! (Patreon)

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a great week! Its been a busy past 7 days or so. I help run a D&D club at a local game store/cafe/bar in my town and everyone just leveled up, I thought leveling up a party of players was a challenge, but almost 30 players at once? Its been a lot! That said, getting to play the game with so many different people, most of which are fairly new to the hobby really helps bring into focus why I enjoy this game! In fact, it really helped me come up with ideas for this first set of items! A couple, Ring of Death's chosen and Sauce of Flavour were ones that were ideas bouncing around in my head for a while, both for Cyran's and for Gobbers, but they never seemed at home in either. For those books we wanted to try and keep a theme running through everything we designed, and while we did deviate at times, I felt I could only do that so many times. As such these two items were always the bridesmaid, never the bride. The perfect sort of creations for my first Patreon only drop!

However the others were all ones I developed from running these games. I had a brand new player building a Cleric for our in store campaign, I was helping them understand all the things they could do with their new priest kit, and we came to the incense. Of course I explained that it would be used in all sorts of divine ceremonies, but they asked, "Is that it?" Which of course, I took as a challenge. Slagterror was born from an itch to write some lore, plus some amazing artwork we had laying round from Olga Drebas. I love creating Legendary Items, because it really lets you go a bit crazy with your world design. Legendary items should have stories longer than some kingdoms, and while it isn't easy to fit it all in one card, I'll take any chance I get to write lore.

As for the Armour of Aggressive Thirst? Well I am a huge fan of Viva La Dirt League's skits about men versus women's armour in Fantasy media, and I will give no more explanation than that!Looking forward to next week and my Thanksgiving special monster pack will be gobbling your way!Mat from Unlimited Realms
