Here's a brand new realism video! This time I'll show you how you can trace a photo to skip the sketching phase and dive straight into the painting. I'll also show you how you can adjust a photo to make the colors more vibrant. Of course we'll also dive into painting fur!

I have attached the color palette to the post (as always, make sure to use a browser like Safari or Chrome when downloading, the Patreon app won't let you download attachments unfortunately).

I'm looking forward to seeing your results! Will you share them in the Flocreate Community? (JOIN HERE if you haven't already) Have fun!

Aurora

Great! But could you put the reference photo? I would like to try it hands-on. Thank you

Christine Vallance

This is how we do tattoo stencils for portraits!!! Few things are different but it’s super close!

Christine Vallance

We use dashes and dots to outline shadows and highlight and a solid line for the outline

Michellevk

I dont see the reference photo..

Art with Flo

I'm so sorry, I forgot to add it. It's there now 👍🏻

Aurora

🤗😉

Art with Flo

Yeah there is, it's underneath the swatches file

Douglas Wiberg

Something odd happens in Patreon….not first time. Sometimes the downloads show and other times they don’t, have them now…thx

Kata Lou

Canť wait for this one!!!

Marcia Doyle

How do you download the swatches from here using Safari? Googled it and got nothing.

Art with Flo

Just go to patreon.com in Safari, log in, go to this post and then click the .swatches file at the bottom

Kym Wilkie

Could you please try to make a how-to teach someone to draw in procreate?

Radical Face

Where do I find the darken and lighten hair brushes?

Art with Flo

Did I use those in this tutorial? I don’t remember 😅

Radical Face

Yes! Haha. You reference the “hair set”. 🤣

Nermeen

It’s always fascinating to see how the simple outlines turn into a master beautiful artwork. Can’t thank you enough Flo for being the talented artist you are . You always get my full attention in your realistic tutorials.

Art with Flo

Awwww thank you Nermeen! That's so kind of you to say. I hope you'll continue to enjoy the tutorials 😊

Carole D

You use the lighten and darken hair brushes but they’re not included in the Patreon brush set… ☹️

Art with Flo

Oh how silly! I'll add them to the post 👍🏻

Anthea Lobb

Hi Flo - i would love to paint a picture of my own dog do you have any kind of tutorial for how to paint and colour pick your own photo to turn into a painting this way? :)

Riley

did you attach the smudgy hair brush? i can’t find it anywhere :((

Art with Flo

It's in the treasure chest brush pack, you can get access through freefromflo.com

Art with Flo

Color picking from a photo often results in dull colors, so I never do that, I'm sorry

Shimona Mangal

Hey Flo, I absolutely enjoyed this tutorial and the black dog tutorial as well. I can't wait to try it hands on. But I also had a request, could you also please teach how to draw and paint a lighter colored dog like white with fawn patches and also maybe with short hair like chihuahua, dachshund, pitbull, labrador etc ?? It would be of great help and I'm sure it would be very intriguing for many of us here. Lots of love ❤️
