I would love to visit Japan someday, the cities and their streets intrigue me. I love all the neon signs and how much there is to see and explore. For this week's tutorial I'd like to use a photo and show you how you can easily turn it into a lovely stylized illustration. It'll be fun!

I have attached the color palette and reference image to the post (as always, make sure to use a browser like Safari or Chrome when downloading, the Patreon app won't let you download attachments unfortunately).

I'm looking forward to seeing your results! Will you share them in the Flocreate Community? (JOIN HERE if you haven't already) Have fun!

Well I don't think it's cheating to trace for me. I trace and then I do it again without tracing. That's how I can learn how to form the shape. Trust me you copy something and then when you do it well I'll cop. It will come out good

It's right at the bottom of the post, make sure to use a browser like Safari or Chrome

I totally agree, that's a great way to learn

Tracing was always shunned at master tattoo institute when I was there….u got bullied and ridiculed for doing so. It’s the reason I left cuz I was sick of being bullied by other adults who were jealous of me…..I think tracing is a wonderful learning tool n everyone traces esp in the tattoo world! So keep tracing n as long as ur honest about it I see zero issue with it.🫶🏼 keep up the great art work guys cuz y’all rock!

Btw MTI is a joke n Alex the owner is legit a drug crazed psycho….if u wanna learn to tattoo check out BEN FISHER’s program…..a fraction of the cost n u will actually learn something

I loved doing this!!! It took me 11 hours but I'm still a beginner. I'd love to see more of this kind <3

This was a lot of fun and turned out to be a great “steady lines” exercise for me too.

I would love more Japanese themed content and maybe an advanced Japanese street design with a little more details and textures. I loved this tutorial! 😍🫶🏻

Yaaass! Seconding more Japanese content! It was actually the torii gate tutorial that got me to subscribe, so more Japanese content would be super cool!

I can't find a torii tutorial from Flo :( Could you please tell me when it was posted? I want to do it as well :D

I absolutely LOVED this tutorial! Thank you so much! Your colour choices are always so beautiful. Would love to learn more about how to select colours - this is where I struggle most!
