I hope every one of you is doing okay during these weird times and that you are all safe and healthy. Sometimes I just want to forget about the whole situation and ignore the news. I like to focus on the positives in stead and all the upsides I can find. Whenever I feel a bit down, I try to focus on those. I thought it would be nice to share some positivity with eachother here. It can be in the little things, perhaps you celebrated your cat's birthday or the flowers in your garden are in bloom or maybe you finally upgraded your house in Animal Crossing  😉

And if you want to share photos in this thread, you can always send them to me (floortje@artwithflo.com) so I can add them to this post.

Let me start sharing my positive thoughts and events! I love going through the Community section here for instance and see how you all interact with eachother. There were even some challenges going on with lots of positive encouragement. I just love that! It really warms my heart  ❤️

Of course we also celebrated my daughter's 11th birthday this month. I was great! We played lots of games, enjoyed the sunshine in our garden and I made an Escape Room for her.

And last weekend I baked some cookies! They might look like poo, but they tasted very good actually, haha  😅

Today will be a fun day as well, because I have an oppointment with a tattoo artist. I will be discussing the design I want on my right lower arm. Can't wait!

Let's share some positive vibes  😀

Here's an addition by Claude!

"I was inspired to design this image because my creative brain is so blocked that it has shackled my hand to prevent me from sketching. Having found you really helps to break this block. Your artwork, your creativity, your humour, your voice, your hands keep me coming back.

By the way I bet Seth MacFarlane the creator of the Family Guy would love your Renaissance painting. I really like his humour and moral stand. He is brilliant."

This is the painting Claude referred to  😉  I made it a long time back

Awesome, I love escape rooms. I also would love to try the poop cookies, they look chocolicious 😋 My birthday was on 31th of march, I was alone and depressed.. but then I started to realize that I am not alone at all. My cats were there, comforting me, my dogs were there, still in need of some nice long walks.. And my neighbors, my mother and my sister are still there, even if I can only talk to them from the distance. From that day on I started to go behind our houses where we have a little playground for children and two stone benches. Whenever its nice weather I sit there and let my dogs play, and often other neighbors come and join me. Its easy to keep the distance and I feel like these meetings really heal all our souls. Sometimes you have to realize that all the small things we take for granted every single day are really precious gifts we should appreciate more 😊

Oh my god - I love that idea! So here are my thoughts 🙈: To days ago I watched a documentary on yt about Katie stubblefield, a girl which tried to end her life with 18 and lost her face that day because coz she used a gun...after 3 years she got a new face transplant... followed by hard years of recovery... the day of her suicide try changed her life and that from her parents forever... but these people’s are so so grateful and fighted so much. Katie’s advice now is: whenever there is something hard or depressing try to breathe, pray, calm down, breathe again... there will allways be at least one person, where you can talk to and allways there is a way out of those situations... to be honest, I cried watching this and thought, how often we are complaining about things which are actually not really a big deal... we are not grateful enough about the little things which makes live great. So now I am trying to look mich more on those things like: * I seeded my first herbs and vegetables this year, and did so good that I can share my little baby plants with neighbors and friends. I go for a walk with my dog (Picasso 😆) 2 hours every day. All days with a lovely women at the age of 70. A very positive person sharing wise things with me. My whole family is healthy and I enjoy my time doing creative things with my kids. And at least: I am part of that wonderful community here and happy to be inspired by Flo and all of you! Thanks to you all! 🧡

A month into our lock-down, I purchased my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and found Flo's YouTube channel. I've been having so much fun being creative anywhere! I do still love my watercolors, but the iPad is definitely more convenient! I fell so much in love with the cute burger and shake tutorial, that I'm going a whole series of cute food on my own! So far, I've done PB&J, and S'mores (chocolate, marshmallow, and a graham cracker). I'm currently working on Bacon & Eggs, and have a whole list of other fun foods to get to after those! So thanks, Flo! You've inspired me in more ways than one! I'm so happy to have found you, and this awesome little community!

I just signed up with Patreon a week or so ago. I haven’t been able to find the Community section. 💁🏼

Today was such a rough day. Spent the morning canceling a trip I was supposed to take this summer - although in my mind I'm trying to just be thankful to still have a job and a roof over my head....Your email was such amazing timing. And I am so happy each time you post something. I worked on the glossy lips last night and had such a blast. That's what I love about art - it's an escape and you get away from the world for a little bit. Thank you so much for your positivity and your amazing tutorials.

I can understand that you went through a tough time, being alone. But I'm so happy that you were able to turn it around! You can be really close to others, even when you're not physically close. And dogs and cats are wonderful of course! I love seeing dogs playing outside, so carefree and full of energy. You are absolutely right, happiness is in those little things ❤️

Very inspiring story Heidi ❤️ And how awesome that you walk with a 70 year old friend each day! Walking outside has so many benefits, but when you can do it with a lovely and positive friend, it's even better 😊

That is just awesome Ashleigh! I love cute foods! (and delicious 'real' foods, haha). Looking forward to seeing more of your creations ❤️

Having to cancel trips just sucks big time, I felt really bad when I had to cancel my trip to New York in April. I had been looking forward to it for months. But the feeling faded fortunately. The world just became smaller now and posibilities are limited, but they are still there. My kids created a disco party in our living room for instance and we have a garden where we can sit and pretend we're somewhere else, eating and drinking at a restaurant. When we take a walk through a park nearby, we pretend we are in a big forest, trying to experience little adventures. Our world will grow again, eventually, but for now we can enjoy the little things. I'm happy you are enjoying my tutorials so much. I feel like it's an escape to, making a journey into another world and forgetting everything around you. Take care Adrienne! New tutorials are coming soon ;)
