📌 New Format Alert! I'm testing out a new setup with you lucky Battlestar Galactica peeps this week! This version does not require you to sync your own copy. You can just watch this video with no hassle or syncing required. It's something many of you have requested for months, and after chatting with a few fellow reactors, I decided to give it a try! If it works well and the feedback is positive, I'll start using this format for all future videos here. Please let me know how it feels (format, sound, everything!) Your feedback means a lot so thank you!SYNC ALONG LINK IF YOU PREFER THE OLD WAY: https://youtu.be/MElbg4fc_io I'm not exaggerating when I say that Season 3 has been my favorite and we are only 1/3 of the way through so far.. There's this suffocating moral fog hanging over everyone. No one is quite sure where the line between justice and vengeance really lies anymore. It's one thing to survive, but another to try to live with what survival has changed you into. Watching Kara break off her marriage like it was nothing and Saul drink his way into oblivion while holding onto his wife's dress wrecked me. But what hurt the most was their human response to want to hurt everyone else around them. To drag everyone else through the mud that they've been suffocating in.The final episode was the biggest gut punch of them all though. The end of the war was so clearly in sight and yet there was a haunting question lurking in the dark about whether humanity has the right to decide another species' fate. It reminded me so much of Mass Effect. The parallels between the Cylons and the Krogan are hard to miss. Both created beings in a sense, both punished for becoming "too strong", both labeled as threats to be contained or erased. That moral tug-of-war is never easy to immerse yourself into. The idea of doing something monstrous in the name of human survival. Yeah, it's exactly the kind of dilemma that kept me up at night back in ME and it'll do the same to me now in BSG. Season 3 feels like the soul of Battlestar Galactica is standing trial. Every episode asks us: who are you now that the war has changed you? It's dark, painful, and deeply human. And I absolutely LOVE that about it. It doesn't shy away from the ugliness of survival. It asks the hard questions and stares at you until you answer them. And I can't help but respect the heck out of any storyline that dares to go this far. Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿
