Happy Holidays, Patreon family! 🎄✨This week feels extra magical so I'm definitely soaking it all in as we get closer to Christmas and the new year. I'll be spending Christmas Eve (my birthday!) with my family for lunch, dinner, and all the festive chaos. Then Christmas Day is officially reserved for rest, pajamas, and doing absolutely nothing productive (a true holiday vibe lol)As I mentioned in my vlog today for the Yule-Twelve, the next two weeks of content have been lovingly planned ahead of time due to my editor's vacation! So while you're still getting videos as usual, rest assure that I am currently bundled up in blankets, relaxing, recharging, and very excited to hang out with you all in the comments this week and next! Content will be rolling, vibes will be cozy, and all is well ✨What I watched this week:🪖 Full Metal JacketOof. Since I've already seen the movies this week, I can share little blurps instead of "I'm excited!" notes lol. This was haunting. Honestly, a horror film at heart?? I don't know what I was expecting going in the first time, but what I got was intense in a way that really sticks. Heavy, unsettling, and very much a "sit with your thoughts for awhile after" kind of film.🔥 Kick-AssI almost felt nervous saying this title in my intro.. you all know me LOL. But honestly, wow! I loved this movie! It felt like a wild mashup between Superbad and DCU, which I was very much here for. The graphic novel style was everything. And this was my first official Nicolas Cage film! I had no clue he was in it, and I'm actually laughing hysterically but loving that this was my first introduction to him on screen.🐯 The HangoverThis one felt like it would be great for New Years vibes and I wasn't wrong lol. This movie came out when I was in High School and I felt every bit of it on my first watch! The music alone sent me back in a time capsule 🤣 I can't wait to share the laughs with you all because this comedy was absolutely unhinged in the best ways.A few notes: 📌 The Superhero Odyssey will continue after the New Year! I can't wait to jump back in!📌 Middle-Leaf Book Club will be wrapping up this week & a new chat will be made for community chatter beginning of 2026!📌 Battlestar Galactica Final Season will continue in February!I hope you all have a relaxing, merry, and amazing week full of laughs and good vibes! Thank you for your support, kindness, and for celebrating this season with me. Sending you all the love, warmth, and holiday magic ❄️✨

Nice job you have two comdies to counteract the psychology hell of full metal jacket . Perfect set up

Walter White

Can’t wait for kick ass and the hangover😁

Jonathan Schmidt

Another good Nicholas Cage film would be Gone in 60 Seconds.

Eric Capretta

Out of these I’ve only seen the Hangover. And sometimes I’ll find a way to sneak in “Tigers love pepper, they hate cinnamon” into a conversation lol. And the people I work with are too stuck up to even know that movie exists so they think I’m giving cold hard facts 😂 I’m like chatGPT. Say it with confidence and they’ll believe it lol

Farbod

I'm gonna need The Batman soon...

Wil Castillo

Kick-Ass is a good one! I can't wait.

Chris

Out of pocket movie Christmas week wasn’t on my bingo card

Robert da Spruce

Not sure these three movies would have been on my bingo card for Christmas week. But I applaud your choices Kali! 😄 Especially Kick-Ass and The Hangover! Looking forward to checking them out as well as your blog P.S. I finally had a chance to listen to some of your Spotify playlist this morning as I was running some last minute errands Great taste in music! I’m enjoying it so far!

Jose Morales

All 3 of these movies are great in their own way. The beginning of Full Metal Jacket brings back a lot of personal memories. 13 weeks of hell right out of high school. Lol. I remember watching Kick-Ass in the theater and loved it. The Hangover was great laughs.

Eric Stewart

Thats a great mix! The Hangover will hopefully balance FMJ, which is a film I only needed to see once... lmao

Jonas Vanderstraeten

Your first Nicolage Cage movie? That means you haven't seen the two National Treasure movies? Those have got to be on your list! And there are so many more, the man's range is baffling!

The Dingo

Holy cow this is exciting

Nina

your first Stanley Kubrick film!!!

Michael

Why would you find it hard to say ASS, I watched your Detroit Become Human play through and you said FUCKING PASSWORD like a pro

David L

Can't wait for full metal jacket and Kick Ass.

David L

I can't wait for Inception. You think If The Prestige blew your mind. Wait till you watch Inception. 🤯 It also has a stacked cast. Christopher Nolans best imo.

Bryan David

A few Nicolas Cage movies I’d recommend: Raising Arizona for comedy, Face/Off for action, and Adaptation for drama. He’s one of a kind. He’s had some high highs and low lows, but he’s almost always interesting.

James Park

Cant wait for your kick ass reaction

C.j.

My uncle is actually in Kickass!!!

Richard

Now THAT is what you call an eclectic mix of genres! Looking forward to it. Everything about your vlog was amazing - wise life advice, giving us more insight into your journey, things you’ve had to overcome, the love you feel from us and give back, and that soothing music at the perfect volume. I literally can’t wait to hear those 2026 goals and plans! I still remember the excitement of buying our house, I really hope that works out for you. BTW, those socks come with a lifetime unconditional warranty so any holes or threadbare spots, free replacement! Didn't know you were a "sock person" so yes lucky guess. Also, hopefully you noticed the card itself (not the typewritten note) had a handwritten 75k congrats message on the inside (not sure since you didn’t read it). Now I’m very curious as to what “tiny lanterns chat” is 😀.

Full Metal Jacket is a little strong for the Season. Lol Kick-Ass is my favorite super hero movie of all time. Aaron Taylor Johnson will always be Ass-Kicked for me. Lol And, The Hangover.....is wild!! Hahaha Have a Wonderful Birthday and Xmas Kali!! 😀🎉🎂🎁 🎄🎅 My gift is running late hopefully you can get it next week.

First, I want to say Happy B-day on Christmas Eve! Before, I ask the very important question, what happened to doing Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special??? I know I am just one of many but I have been waiting all week for it. I get you are busy but I was very excited for this. Oh well, enjoy your 2 weeks off. I will edit this to apologize but I won't remove it because I feel a bit foolish now. If you see this, so for assuming you forgot, I'm sorry and I hope you have a great family vacation.

Wow, what a week this one is going to be. I'm really looking forward to it. I don't want to get too personal on here but I just want to say this has been a very tough year for me and this week in particular is becoming a rough one (and its only Monday). So I just want to say thanks for providing all that you do, you often go above and beyond...that's true even now during the holidays. All the work you put into these reactions, it's allows me to have a moment where I can shut my brain off to all the bad stuff and just enjoy some entertainment.

Code Monkey

Some good ones this week. I can't wait! 🎉

First: Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year Kali🙏🏼😘😛👍🏽😇. From wich movie is this Quote (easy): "You write 'Born to Kill' on your helmet and you wear a peace button. What's that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke?"

Morah-SDG

Great line up, really can’t wait!! Glad to see you being receptive and engaged with even heavier or more crude subject material, I feel so many reactors can unfortunately box themselves into a corner of a TYPE of content they feel comfortable with, and you I feel always keep pushing yourself as a creator!

kaliwali

I forgot to add Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Edition to this list! I'll be posting it a little later today!

Dave Olden

Wow! Kubrick to cap off the year! Does this mean we will see another Kubrick classic - ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ anytime soon?

Jonas Vanderstraeten

"I'm sorry Dave. I'm affraid I can't do that." (Sorry, had to do it :D That would be a nice one to see on the channel)

Dave Olden

😆 Don’t worry. I’ve had the name Dave all my life. My parents introduced me to 2001 when I was 7 years old, so I’m used to it. Worst case scenario: I just go in through the … Emergency Airlock! 🤷‍♂️
