🍿 This Week's Watchlist: (Patreon)

Hi everyone! This week will be a gentler one over here for me! As I talked with you all about in my Winter Vlog, after such a full and epic year I'm finally giving myself permission to slow down, rest, and recharge as we ease into 2026. I have soooo many exciting movies, shows, and projects planned for January that I cannot wait to share with you! But this week is all about grounding and catching up on the behind-the-scenes things that my google notes have been overflowing with since... uh, the summer? lolBecause of that, here is my one watch for the week:🥀 Schindler's ListI watched this one before my editor went on break, and wow. It's hard to put into words what this film did to me. It's devastating and beautiful in equal measure. Spielberg tells this story with restraint and humility. Never sensationalizing the pain. Never overdoing it. Just letting the weight of it really sit with you in a way that felt deeply respectful. It's a film that will stay with me forever. I don't say this lightly, but it's one of the most impactful films I've ever experienced.Behind the scenes this week:🎞 I'll be working on updating a few more of the older sync along movies to the newer unedited format I've been using. Don't worry, the sync along versions will always still be there for anyone who prefers them! I really feel like this new setup has given us the best of both worlds, and I'm thankful for all of your patience and feedback while I figured it out earlier this year!😻 I'll officially be rebranding from koalas to cats/kaliwali vibes this week! Koalas were cute and fun for Twitch, but honestly they were never really me. This new direction feels so much more aligned with who I am, and I'm very excited to roll out new tier names, themes, and visuals as we step into 2026. It's also going to make creating merch way more fun, so maybe we can get a spring merch drop going!💬 I'm adding another chat room here on Patreon! We'll still have the Middle-Leaf Book Club (now that we've finished The Hobbit!), and until our next reading begins feel free to use that space to share what you're currently reading for any bookish thoughts. I'll be opening a new general chat space later today. Somewhere cozy to hang out, share recommendations (no spoilers tho please!), drop memes, and just hang together between uploads. ❓ I'll be dropping a post for anyone to put questions for my January Q&A and unboxing video! I loved the last one so much that I think a monthly or bimonthly Q&A/Unboxing would be great going forward. I saw a few people ask around here, but for those that still had trouble finding it my PO Box is: KaliwaliPO Box 270New Albany, OH 43054Thank you for making 2025 such a special year! I'm so excited for the movies we'll experience together in 2026, for the conversations we'll have, and for continuing to fall even more and more in love with film alongside you all. Thank you so much for being here, for your support and kindness, and for making this space feel like the coziest corner of the internet this year! Here's to rest, renewal, and a beautiful year ahead! 💛✨
