You should add "Definitely, Maybe" which you'd love.

Dave Olden

I absolutely 💯 want When Harry Met Sally to win!

Wutai

you should add Serendipity or The boat house. Voting Ghost. 10 Things I Hate About You was filmed our local highschol.

Chuckles1004

YOU'LL ABSOLUTELY LOVE, THE WEDDING SINGER!!! Have you seen Love Actually?

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

My votes are for Casablanca and/or Ghost! However, When Harry Met Sally and Notting Hill are great movie picks too! I would love for you to react to any of these movies! Thank you, Kali! Sincerely, Heidi

Chris Chatham

Well I mean... Warm Bodies is the right answer, but I'll just have to lower my standards.

Robert da Spruce

10 Things, Ghost, Notting Hill, and the Wedding Singer would be my choices

kaliwali

I can't add once it's already posted :(

kaliwali

I can't add when it's already posted :(

kaliwali

I haven't! I don't think it's on my list either!

Andrew Thompson

Now I'm going to be totally honest here, Casablanca is my favorite movie and it's my perfect Valentine's Day movie! Every year!

Joseph Olson

Have to go with Ghost. It's the only one of these that I remember seeing which I liked. That includes "Casablanca". I did see it, but it was probably 40 years ago, and I remember very little about it. I do remember that at the young age I saw it, I didn't see what the big deal was. It's pretty likely my perception of it would change if I saw it again after having lived a life.

Trevor Go

Save Love Actually for Xmas.

Terry In the UK

So many good films to choose from...it brings back memories of standing in blockbuster video knowing I can only pick one but wanting them all. Every recommendation is a good one and every option is a fantastic choice for a Valentine's day reaction... I'm basing my decision on the movie I know you'll love the best out of them all, and that is Ghost.... it really is a proper "Kali" film. It would be a shame if the others don't eventually make it to the channel, of the rest.. "Notting Hill" is a particular favourite of mine and took my second vote...but I'll be cheering on for Ghost this time round... Fabulous film with a BEAUTIFUL love story. x

Chris

That’d be one for romance/Christmas crossover

2026-09-07 13:00 I’m not much of a Romance movie person but there are prob 2 that I would choose. Have you ever seen Blast from the Past or Hitch? Blast from the Past is Brandon Fraser and Alicia Silverstone and Hitch has Will Smith trying to help Kevin James in the dating world. Even if they don’t make the poll you should add these to your list!

Yep, as brilliant as "Love Actually" is, it's absolutely perfect for Christmas time.

Wutai

No worries, I didn't expect you to add it now, but maybe in the future. Love your reactions and thanks for the reply!

Boba Fettuccine

Even if "The Wedding Singer" doesn't win this poll I hope you'll watch it someday. It's hilarious and Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are great together.

Hans Engelen

There is only one right answer ... 10 things it is.

Dude Longcouch

Surprised to see Ghost winning, that's interesting. My votes go to 10 Things and Wedding Singer. For future polls: Forgetting Sarah Marshall and (500) Days of Summer are two of my faves

Bernie Zwicky

Ghost is definitely my pick…especially if you haven’t seen it yet!❤️ The Lake House (2006) with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock will be a great romantic movie whenever you’re in the mood again for romance!😊❤️

Farbod

La La Land is a great film. Wedding Singer is a very fun comedy. 10 Things has a lot of nostalgia.

KJ

💔🎵Unchained Melody🎵❤️‍🩹

Joe Blankenship

Instantly clicked 10 Things. A 90s teen essential.

KJ

Blast from the Past is so underrated and can be watched at any time. Great whimsical romantic comedy.

Matt Rowland

I was thinking about "She's All That" earlier today as I was cleaning my wife's hair out of our showers' drain. No joke.

Phil Stubblefield

Sigh. 😔 As I write, Casablanca (1942) is running fifth in this poll, when it *should* be running away with it! It's rated 8.5 on IMDB, putting it in the _top 50 films of all time_. It has a 99% critics rating and a 95% fans rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Ghost (1990) is currently leading. It's 7.1 on IMDB and 74%/80% on RT. Second place? The Wedding Singer (1998), at 6.9 and 72%/80%. At least When Harry Met Sally... (1989) is third. It's 7.7 and 90%/89% on RT. Third place? 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), at 7.4 and 72%/69%. I get that we all have different tastes, but most of those numbers come from at least 250K ratings, so those opinions are shared by *many* people... Okay, I'll shut up now and will happily enjoy whatever reaction(s) Kali creates... because *she* is the best! 😁

Dave M.

OMG YES!!! Ghost. PLEASE!! So cute and romantic.

Peter Wyatt

All I know from any of these is Casablanca, so I guess I'll vote for that. Lol.

Dan Hughes

rotten tomatoes is not a site to base anything on

Onno Smits

Notting Hill is genuinely one of my favourite movies just in general, definitely top 5 for RomComs! It's discouraging seeing it so low on this poll, but I'll just hold out hope for the future, knowing that at least it's on your long list of recommendations. 😅 I'm eager to see whatever RomCom ends up winning. It was so much fun watching The Holiday with you, looking forward to another movie in that vein!

Andy Jordan

Casablanca is one of the greatest love stories ever told, so that's my vote, and I enjoy several of the other films, but Casablanca is the legend it is for a reason, so I do hope anyone here who hasn't seen it will watch it anyway. And I hope you'll watch it sooner or later, Kali, because it's one of the best films ever made. Ghost is great, it helped Whoopi Goldberg get her EGOT, but Casablanca is simply in its own league. But I know you'll do great work with whatever wins, so I'm good anyway. I just love Casablanca too much; I watch it at least once a year, and it only gets better. Out of all of these, I think When Harry Met Sally is the next best, and I'd say it's comfortably the best romance film in my lifetime, unless there's something else I'm forgetting. Looking forward to the ultimate winner. Cheers!

Me Myself

I don't really watch the romantic stuff, but I remember Ghost being a good watch.

Black_TYGR

they all look good to me!! so I picked all of them…🤍💜🩷

Neal

From the list - Ghost; my all time favorite is A Walk In The Clouds with Keanu Reeves

Samwell

Richard Curtis makes really great romantic movies. Any movie he wrote/directed would be a recommendation from me. Though from the looks of it Notting Hill won't be winning the poll. I hope one day you'll watch About Time (2013). It's a brilliant romantic movie and one of my favorites.

David Perkins

honestly, i'm not typically into "Romance", though i do recall really enjoying "Notting Hill" back in the day. other than that there's only 2 others i've seen. regardless, i'm confident that whatever gets picked, it'll be fun to watch with Kali!

kaliwali

I've found this to be really true 🤣

kaliwali

LOL I've gotten it recommended so many times bc apparently I look like the main actress in it?

KJ

Anything currently below 10% voting isn't going to be winning, so it might be worth Patrons to unvote and pick from the Top 5 as it's a tight race. Entirely optional, just a suggestion.

Onno Smits

You can vote for multiple options. No need to unvote for anything. 😂

KJ

I know, but it does shift the percentages.

Dave M.

NOOOO!!!! GHOST IS BEHIND?????? F**K TEN THINGS!!!!!!!

Dave M.

BOOOOOOOO!!!!!! GHOST BEFORE 10 THINGS PLLLLLEEEAAAASE!!!!!!!!!

Daniel

You have to do both! you have to do Ghost first

David Trumble

It's a sad thing to say, but in my opinion the best films that capture the trueness of love don't tend to be obvious romantic comedies, but frankly sadder but no less beautiful films. Romcoms don't tend to cover what I would consider love so as much as early attraction, whereas the most profound aspects of love and commitment come long after that stage, therefore the movies that really have something profound to say about them aren't as obviously satisfying or crowd-pleasing. Thinking of something as devastating as "Portrait of a Lady on Fire" that barely ever makes it into reaction channel polls, let alone wins them. A brilliant one would be "Everything Everywhere All At Once", which, on the face of it seems to be a film about anything but love, but is actually a transcendent meditation on rekindling that lost spark of love and connection you once had with the person you share your life with. Therefore, I'd say that "Casablanca" and "When Harry Met Sally" are the closest on this list to films that I'd consider true love stories, but then my definition of love story is definitely not for everyone hehe.

Daniel

I never see casablanca but my choice is Ghost on number one harry and sally on number two!!

pinkdino99

In all the gin joints in all the world.. and here's me thinking we were all movie buffs. Tch !

Daniel

I am with david dont win with "10 things" its a teenage movie but not for valentines day?? the wedding singer (so important for adam sandler and drew barrymore) is over notting hill (Julia Roberts)?? sorry ghost (epic) when harry met sally (classic) on the one!!

KJ

I would only watch Casablanca if there was a drinking game for every cliche line of dialogue used.

KJ

I mean... Doctor Zhivago might be the best romantic (historical) drama ever made? The adaptation with Julie Christie and Omar Sharif.

Giancarlo Gasparin

Wonder if Kali’s seen The Notebook. That would’ve made a good one for the poll.

Wil Castillo

I cannot believe Ghost is losing this poll. Ten Things I Hate About You is good, but Ghost is a far better movie, in my opinion. It's an epic film that won 2 Academy Awards out of 5 nominations!

DorkRunner

I'm somewhat surprised neither of the other Makoto Shinkai movies that have released since Your Name are on this poll; I definitely would have voted for one of them. (Weathering With You and Suzume.)

kaliwali

I haven't! I was going to put it on here but I've always heard how much it wrecks people and honestly got too scared LOL

Giancarlo Gasparin

Hey, Kali! True story. In college, I dated this girl who shared my love of the simple life; staying in, ordering takeout, and watching good movies and tv shows. During one of our earlier dates, we gave each other a "Movie Ticket Pick". Each of us picked a favorite movie the other hadn't seen and we watched it together. Her choice? The Notebook. 17 years, a wedding, and a son later, and we still enjoy the simple life. Hope you bump this movie up your list!
