These episodes were so intense and heavy at the same time. The flashbacks of Foggy and Matt's relationship before things turned into what they are now... Wow. My heart.Watching their relationship fall apart stung. You could see how real their friendship was from the very beginning. How easy, genuine, and fun it was. With Foggy, Matt got to be just a person, not a responsibility. But Foggy honestly deserved the truth from the start. Or at least at some point. Finding out the truth like that would shake anyone. It makes sense for him to walk away. Not even really out of anger, but out of heartbreak. A whole friendship where you don't even know what memories are real anymore.Karen at the bar felt like a really grounding moment tho. She reminded Foggy that the world is still moving, that Fisk is still hurting people, that maybe what Matt is doing isn't the worst thing in such a broken system. But that idea is uncomfortable to sit with. Like trying to justify violence because it's aimed at something even more violent. For someone so sweet like Foggy, that's way too much to swallow. After Wesley got his hands on Karen, I genuinely thought she wasn't going to make it. When she did what she had to do, I was SHOCKED. I think what honestly surprised me the most though, were my own feelings about Wesley lol. He may be the 'bad guy' but he was so loyal, steady, and the one person Fisk truly trusted. His death feels less like a win and more like the beginning of Fisk unraveling. Especially with Vanessa's life on the line as well. Who will Fisk turn into when he finds out Wesley is gone? Who will he turn into if Vanessa doesn't make it? I'm honestly terrified thinking about that.I'm side-eyeing Leland a bit with the poisoning. Something feels off about him now. More than normal. My insticts are telling me he could be a part of it all. He's been increasingly bitter, increasingly resistant. And Fisk finding love seems to have only made that so much worse. There's something off about the way he carries himself, the way he flinches at everything. Whether the poison was for Fisk or for Vanessa, I can't shake the feeling that it's more than a coincidence that he merely held the glass he was so eager to drink. These episodes really felt like everything tightened all at once. Relationships breaking, trust being tested, power shifting in ways that feel really unpredictable. I just hope after everything settles, after the anger fades, that Matt and Foggy find their way back to each other again. But even stronger now that the truth is free. I hope this isn't the end of Foggy.. Because some things are just worth fighting for. And a friendship as genuine as theirs is worth it every time.See you all next week for the final two episodes of this season! 🔥Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/cMO7l70eQvYI watched this on Disney+

I loved Wesley. The way the actor played him, I just found him so enjoyable.

Dude Longcouch

Yeahhhhh been waiting all week for this!

KJ

The actor is excellent in the show "Billions" as well. He's more of a good guy in that but there are so many shades of grey in that TV series 😂

Sooo I haven't started watching THIS reaction of yours yet (duh...you JUST posted it) and this admittedly WAS one of the main reasons I joined the Patreon. I love this show and was suuuuper stoked to see you pop up on my YouTube subscriptions when you started it a few weeks ago. I digress, my main comment here is that you genuinely seem to be SUPER invested in Daredevil's storyline and being as intentionally vague as I can be to not spoil you, are you planning to continue into further seasons? I'm wondering because there is a specific order you should watch -other- Netflix-era Marvel shows (it does NOT have to be all of them) that are -also- available on D+ now (like how you've been catching up on this run of Daredevil) however there IS one that kinda NEEDS to be seen before you were to continue -too- far into the "new" Daredevil stuff that is now being created for Disney+. My main point is, it's not -immediately- necessary for season 2 of Daredevil but season 3 will be a little lost on you if you stray too far away from the "intended" viewing order, as well as the new Disney+ Daredevil series.

Matthew

So, Kali. Now that you are coming to the end of season one and have come to realise how great his show is. Does this mean you might push Seasons 2 and 3 up in your watch schedule? 🙏 🙂

I think episode 10 might be my favorite episode of this show because one moment you are laughing like when he gives matt the finger and the next you're sad because of how betrayed foggy is feeling. I think my favorite moment is when he asks if Matt bombed the city and shot the cops Matt sheds a tear and I'd like to believe it was because of upset he was that Foggy believed he could do something like that. Funny side story Avocado in swedish is avokado and lawyer is advokat, so one day we were talking texting about guacamole and I was unsure how to spell avocado because the english word is so similar and a lot of swedish words also use "ck" so I wrote advokado and she laughed her ass of and made fun of me for god knows how long! I had forgotten that scene between Matt and Foggy until I rewatched it mabye 2 years later and realized it was all their fault.

This show is really getting good and is fast becoming compulsive viewing. What's surprising me the most is that if you took away the whole "superhero" element out of it, that it would still be excellent TV. The acting, the writing, the storyline, direction are all top tier...and wow !!! , ...they keep coming up with some truly spectacular endings to make sure the viewer keeps coming back for more. Loving the show and loving the reactions Kali. Many thanks as always.

Danny

Yeah, the villains are this show's main strength. So well written and acted. I think the second season is even better in that regard. Have you ever seen the show JUSTIFIED? That's the only other show i've seen that might have even better villains and a similar blur between good guys and bad guys.

“She’s got that nurse superpower”. I’m picturing 4’10” Kali standing in a doorway of a hospital room in front of some 6’3” guy saying “You shall not pass!!!” Ok X-Ray tech superpower but close enough.

Narutoanime16

So many emotions from everyone and Wesley definately underestimated Karen like he didn't even think to tie her up cause he assumed she would still be so afraid that she wouldn't be brave enough to actually grab the gun

Cameron

I completely agree that Leland is sooooooo irritating.

Mister Lou

Im so glad you're enjoying this series! Please consider doing Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders? I don't need season 2s from anything other than Daredevil

Irrelevance - Bjorn Vanbelleghem

I know for a fact that I've watched this all before, but by now I know that my memory is absolutely not a thing I can rely on. Yurik's wife hit very close to home for me. Lost my mom a few years ago to frontotemporal dementia. She basically aged backwards again. It's a weird thing that when you're the oldest son and she's just plain scared of you now. The whole show is just fantastic. Your reactions make it so much more meaningful. Thank you, Kali.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write out more of your thoughts! I don't think any other reactor does this and it's so good! What I love most about Daredevil/Matt is his devotion to his Catholic faith. In spite of everything he's experienced, he still holds on and tries to believe. Later on in episode 11, we see Fisk saying he "tried" to be religious. but in the end it was false and he only had an imitation of faith. Great writing showing the dichotomy of their personalities and values.

Malcolm Ferguson

It's interesting - All the reasons you find Leland annoying are the exact same reasons I find him really funny, lol. I would probably hate someone like him in real life, but I think the actor just plays it in a way that really makes me laugh. XD

Giancarlo Gasparin

Karen asking Ben, "What could it hurt?" as a roundabout way to interrogate Fisk's mom. Oh, Karen...

Darian Harman

My mother rarely swears, so her insult for characters like Leland is, "Weenie" or, "Weenie-head". I think it's such an apt term for weasel-y characters like him. Bob Gunton is really good at executing these roles that just irritate you. I love what it brings out of the actors around him, too--he plays it such that he gives every scene partner something to work with. The way Fisk and Wesley react to Leland is so true-to-life that It's like you can see the layers of their patience being stripped away by his arrogance in real-time. We've all been in a room with some bloviating blowhard who just doesn't know how grating their presence is. Many of us may even be able to reflect on a time at which we were that person, ourselves. Leland is SUCH a weenie.

Peter Wyatt

Every sentence he says is pure sarcasm. Lol.

PG Modehouse

God, this show is so good. It's such a green flag when one of the most compelling, moving episodes in a superhero action thriller is an argument between two friends.

PG Modehouse

Matt paused at Melvin's because when he was about to punch, he ripped open his stitches. In the earlier scene when Fisk and Leland were getting suited up, Leland made a snide comment about Melvin's intelligence, indicating that he may have some sort of neurodivergence, but Fisk said his armored suits are some of the best, so perhaps he's sort of a savant in that one field, but otherwise needs help with life stuff, and Betsy helps him with it. I think the fridge full of Yoo-Hoo was meant by the writers to characterize Melvin as child-like, though tbh I will happily admit that ice cold chocolate milk SLAPS, even as a newly middle-aged man.

pinkdino99

Great reaction to both the jump scare and the shooting !

IsaacDoesStuff

This is when i started to hate Foggy. Not a very good best friend.

Phil Stubblefield

So, Kali, did you ever need to display that "nurse superpower" and stop someone much bigger than yourself with just your strength of will, like that nurse did to Fisk? I don't imagine an X-ray tech would find herself in that position, but you never know in a hospital... Oops, I almost forgot to compliment you for your great reactions to what is proving to be an amazing show! 👍🏼👍🏼

Trashy Feel

Watch daredevil season 2 then Defenders, Then daredevil season 3, then she hulk, then Echo, then daredevil born again season 1 and daredevil born again season 2.

C. J. Ramirez

Flashback episode was the best episode yet

kaliwali

LOL I 100% had to display those superpowers many times. You'd be surprised how much heavy lifting techs do. Especially working in the heart of Baltimore 😅

kaliwali

glad I didn't read this until now AFTER I watched the final episodes 😅

kaliwali

LOL this was definitely my life for 5 years 🤣😅

kaliwali

I'd def love to watch the next seasons!

Matthew

You can definitely go straight to season 2 without any worry. Season 3 is a little trickier as the other netflix shows (Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders) happen in the timeline between DD season 2 and DD Season 3 and are relevant to how it starts.

Rileymetal

I think the next thing you watch should be Jessica Jones Season 1

StrawPaladin

I’m not sure which side kali is on after these episodes.
