I gotta say these episodes felt waaaay less like individual 'episodes' and more like a journey that we're all officially a part of. I don't even know where to begin with these post thoughts because SO MUCH happened 😅 The final boss fight with Klahadore was intense. So many jumpscares and haunted house vibes with the flickering lights, creaking floors, and knives against walls. Klahadore's creepy "Kaaaaya" actually sent chills down my spine LOL. The sound design in this show has been phenomenal in every way. The entire final boss mode felt like a nightmare, being trapped with no escape, forcing them to face something way bigger than any of them were ready for. A butler turned evil. The realization that Kaya has been poised for years. Luffy actually getting cut... He has always seemed so invincible, so watching him bleed definitely made me sweat a bit. But it was so much fun watching them defeat the evil pirates (with Luffy smiling the entire time haha)Kaya giving Luffy his dream ship for helping her realize what her life had been turned into the past few years.. It felt like the story finally took its first real leap toward the One Piece! It made it all feel official. And Usopp joining the crew had me so happy for Luffy. I was laughing that he is the first crew member that really lit up at the idea of being a part of Luffy's adventure. Even if Usopp would rather be captain... 🤣 There's something deeper there too. A longing to belong. To be seen as brave even though he really isn't lol. Wanting to feel worthy. It makes his joy and excitement feel really tender around the edges. And the deeper dive into Zoro this time 🤍 My heart.I wasn't prepared at all. Learning the truth behind his three swords. The one he carries in his mouth. It's not just style, or flair. It's a memory, a promise to a friend, it's grief that he refuses to let go of. That kind of devotion makes me look at him in a whole new light. He has been carrying someone's dream alongside his own this entire time. It makes every fight he steps into feel heavier, more meaningful. Like he is never fighting alone. Her spirit is always right there with him.And then the warlord, Mihawk (he's SO scary)... That fight didn't really feel like a fight at all. More like a trial. I feel like Zoro knew he couldn't win. But he chose to fight anyway. Not for ego. Not for pride even. But because giving up on his dream would hurt way more than losing his own life. Zoro's near death experience shifted something in Luffy too. You can feel it. The weight of what the Captain title really means finally settled onto his shoulders. It's not just about shouting his dreams to the world anymore.. It's about carrying the dreams of his crew as well. It was so beautiful to see that realization hit him the way it did🫠But the casual drop of Garb really being Luffy's grandfather!?!? I'm honestly still trying to piece together how to feel about this. Luffy won't talk about it. The memories we were shown are so interesting yet vague. That laughter from Garb has me feeling so torn on if he's actually super mad or super happy that Luffy won't give up on his dream no matter what. I need more information!! 😅I think it's meant to feel like a broken mystery for now tho.. So I'll leave it at that. Kind of exactly how the mystery with Nami feels currently as well.I knew from the beginning to keep an eye on her. But knowing and seeing are apparently two very different things. Watching her walk away, fish tattoo on her arm, revealing she's been a part of Arlong's crew this whole time. It stung? More than I expected. But I think what surprised me the most wasn't even the betrayal, but Luffy's response. No anger. No accusations. No "HOW COULD YOU". Just a quite certainty that she'll come back to his crew. Like, what??? The only answer I can come up with is that he believes in people before they ever believe in themselves. Which is one of the many things I love about Luffy..I think the Baratie episodes have been my absolute favorite so far. The atmosphere, the chaos, the strained heart to heart conversations over too many drinks. I loved every minute of it! And then there's Sanji 👀I instantly hoped that Luffy would ask him to be part of the crew. I mean, yes, let's just acknoledge the obvious for a second that the man is beautiful LOL. But beyond that there's something so grounded about him. The way he carries himself, the quiet strength, the amazing fight skills, the heart. His story with Zeff might be one of my favorites in the entire show so far. Survival. Sacrifice. Hunger. Not even just for food, but for purpose.I think what I love the most about this show is that after every episode, I find myself sitting here asking myself what is my dream? Am I doing everything I can to follow it? And I think.. I'm falling in love with that message and the show itself because of that. The characters, the heart, the chaos, the humor, the quiet moments in between all of it. It feels so ALIVE. Like I stepped onto this ship with them and I'm along for the ride now.See you all for the end of Season1 next week! 🏴☠️Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/eYe-pjlS8EEI watched this on Netflix
