This arc has no chill. No pause. No breath. Just clash after clash, secrets after secrets. It hasn't once revealed itself for what it truly is just yet.

I'm sitting here after every episode wondering.. How is there SO much happening but I still feel like I understand nothing 👀With Nezuko. She's changing, again. And this time it feels so much deeper.Intentional. Controlled... maybe?I'm honestly terrified we're going to see her lose herself when she's in this form. But then I wonder if she's actually just growing stronger against it.Like she's learning to exist with it instead of just being absolutely consumed. If that's true.. that's huge. With Genya. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON???The healing, the way his body is reacting to everything, the demon vibes.I keep asking myself if he IS a demon? Part demon even maybe? Why hasn't Tanjiro said anything about him yet? If he IS demon, surely he would smell it?It definitely doesn't feel random. With Tanjiro. His shared memories. They feels like pieces of a puzzle. But the kind that are super tiny and all dark so you're not really sure how they fit together yet. Those visions feel inherited. Passed down. But why? From who?Who is he really seeing again and again? Why does it feel like it matters so much!?With Muichiro. The connection to his past hit differently. Heavily. His father having Tanjiro's eyes? That can't just be coincidence. This show never does coincidences. So why?It feels like a really important thread that will tie it all together finally..Tanjiro, Muichiro, those memories, even the scars on their bodies taking shape.I kinda hate (but also love lol) that I'm still so in the dark about everything. We're so close to the end of this arc. Three episodes left! And instead of things slowing down, being explained, revealing themselves... I'm still wondering when the ball will drop. But even in all the confusion, I'm hooked! This arc is so dark. So heavy. So mysterious than anything before it.Like we keep diving deeper into these layers. The parts that have always been there, but why!I'm VERY ready for the finale of this arc next week!I'll see you all there 🔥Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/S4pZsVQJpZcI watched this on Crunchyroll in original Japanese with subtitles

Yes i’ve been waiting for Demon slayer

Brian Gavorski

Without telling you any spoilers, just take your time and listen to everything that Genya talks about.

Man, I keep getting one-upped by reaction releases today. I think this is the third one. I was just watching someone else react to something—or listening to it, rather—and then I checked my email and saw this. So, this wins. I don't know what could ever beat this as far as me watching or listening to a reaction. The robot that was modeled after that swordsman was called the Yoriichi Type 0. I guess we can assume at this point that the swordsman's name was Yoriichi. They 100% have said and indicated that Sanemi Shinazugawa (the Hashira) is the brother of Genya Shinazugawa. I think the problem is that Shinazugawa is impossible to remember or say, so it kind of just rolls over most people's heads. Hmm, post-credit scene with Genya talking about eating. Hmm. Does that involve some kind of......sense? Imagining your heroic Tanjiro-esque inner dialogue while dealing with online bullies is cracking me up. Ketchup with eggs and rice? You are the chosen weeb....before you even knew it.

So happy to have this to look forward to when I get home from work in a couple of hours....this show just keeps getting better, everything about it, and I'm loving this arc.. I think I'll grab me a tub of ice cream when I get out of work to enjoy with this... maybe even some apple pie. Yup, apple pie, ice cream and Demon Slayer, now that is a winning combination for a Saturday evening. Thank you as always, and know that you'll always have our full support and appreciation here on Patreon as well as YouTube. Have a great weekend Kali.

Brian Gavorski

Not to break your heart, but the episode with Genya & his brother with their backstory was released on Mother’s Day😭

The reactions to some of these lives is good to see I know I may seem foolish and ignorant but I’ve said this before is that some life lessons just need a different perspective even if it is on a screen in cartoon colors everyday life lessons as I’m not judging but only opening judging genya at first then feeling bad the lesson most often repeated and known so well don’t judge a book by its cover . No judging it’s learning and growth. Also ketchup on eggs isn’t strange I know quite of few of people who enjoy myself included but depends on the if it’s just a regular cracked and cooked straight but scrambled or any other then yea.

DorkRunner

I just want to say, I'm loving your journey into anime. It's the whole reason that I found you, and why I joined your patreon. Aside from loving seeing your reactions and hearing your thoughts, obviously; there are plenty of other anime reactors I could have subbed to! I love your perspective on it, though, and seeing someone new to the medium learn about and enjoy it. I wanted to put this out there because I saw some other commenters on Spy x Family mentioning something about negative youtube comments and it seeming like some people maybe aren't liking that you've shifted into watching anime; you should watch and react to what you want and what you enjoy, and whatever that is I think you'll both gain and lose audience members. That's just how people are; watching reaction videos is time that they're committing to it, so obviously people will prioritize watching reactions to things they like. However, the people that would post negative comments over it aren't people you want in your community anyway, because they are more concerned with what they want to enjoy rather than what you are currently enjoying. Keep up the good work!

Ahhhhhh, I can't wait for you to finish this arc so I can point out some of the small, fun bits of foreshadowing and symbolism that were in this intro! I think you sort of subconsciously noticed some of them, but if you had thoughts on what they might mean you didn't share them.

Cesar Lopez

You can’t have scrambled eggs without ketchup

Clerence Vhaldu

Lol all your questions will be answered.

Shane

Yes they've already discussed Muichiro's ancestry! When Tanjiro sees him sparing the 6 arm dummy his crow tells Tanjiro that he is a descendant of the first Sun Breather to which Tanjiro looks surprised and impressed but states "but he's not using sun breathing".... this offends Muichiro's crow causing her to bite Tanjiro's cheek! I always liked how Genya and Sanemi have an arguably worse back story than Tanjiro and Nezuko, but Tanjiro uses his grief and his empathy to fuel him while Genya and Sanemi both use their anger and hatred!

Gamaliel Freeman

Next week for sure, the ending of this arc is gonna be something else. This anime series, one of Japanese best ever to come in existence

Howie

Hey Kali, you are asking some very good questions. Most should be answered in due time! Quick correction: It's pronounced: mu-ichi-ro (or moo-ee-chee-row) That egg dish is called omu-rice! Japanese comfort food! And yes that is ketchup! Great observation about letting trauma/suffering can make you into a "demon" and how our past can shape who we become. Even though we currently live in a world without flesh-eating demons, we can become metaphorical demons and hurt others, and they will spread the hurt. We need more Tanjiros who can overcome life's suffering and encourage each other to carry on!

PaulieXP

Omurice? It's one of the hardest omelettes to make. I've watched dozens of videos on it and I still can't do it. Also, this week's watch along reminded me that those wood dragons the anger demon was summoning looked familiar. Naruto fans will probably recognize them. Idk if this and/or Tanjiro's water dragon are deliberate omages to Bleach and Naruto or if they're just coincidence, but it's fun to spot these little easter eggs all the same

DC

A lot of stuff that happens in this show tends to not be so much a 'real' thing/occurence, as much as impressions, thoughts, feelings, or whatnot in the moment. So like, when he saw tanjiro, it wasn't that he was really seeing him or something, it was really just a strong visualization of tanjiros character/words ringing in his head, similar to how someone might think, "but if tanjiro were here, he'd say..." (EDIT: Obviously in this case that was a little bit different xD I should finish watching before commenting, I forgot that plotpoint xD) These moments tend to just be an ephemeral impression of something that *could* happen. Often this is used comedically, where something silly will happen but 'oh not really though', but times like with the bubble scene its more serious and its another way to see how all the characters think, feel, etc.

Tom

Ketchup on eggs is the best lmao also Muichiro's back story is so sad. Completely forgot about how much it gets to me haha. This arc really does just throw a lot at you.

hinaru

Mitsuri and Tanjiro did briefly talk about Genya and him being Shinazugawa (the wind Hachira)'s brother in episode 1 Episode 8 is why Muichirou is my favourite Hashira. And the "Mu" in his name being the "mu" in "mugen" (infinite) is just so cool. As a side note, Yuichiro first said it was the "mu" in "muimi" (meaningless)

DorkRunner

You mention how every person in this show seems to have tragic beginnings, and that's true. I don't think it's just a coincidence or convenience thing, though. I think I briefly mentioned it in a comment on one of the way earlier episodes (maybe when all the Hashira were introduced?), but I probably didn't say a whole lot to avoid spoilers. Of course the demons have tragic stories, because we know that ultimately their fate was to have some kind of a run-in with Muzan. However, as for the demon slayers or especially the Hashira themselves, it makes sense that almost all of them would have tragedies in their pasts, too. For the Hashira that have been fighting demons for generations, it means their whole family has been involved with this brutal war against Muzan for that long, so of course they would be intimate with loss and suffering. For those that weren't born into demon slayer families, though, you have to wonder what would make them so motivated to give up everything else in life to take on such a dangerous thing as fighting demons? I think referencing the first episode with Tanjiro is a good example; if his family hadn't been slaughtered by Muzan, he would have lived out the rest of his life in peace and happiness with his family. He only became a demon slayer because Muzan took everything from him--and he only became an especially powerful and compassionate demon slayer because he still had someone left to protect. Giyu saw something in Tanjiro in that moment that made him know that he could become a great demon slayer, but because of that acknowledgement of Giyu I suspected that Giyu himself probably went through something similar. After meeting the rest of the Hashira and seeing how eccentric they all were--and how much they despised demons and how unwilling they were to let Nezuko live--I was certain that most if not all of them had to have gone through some similar kind of immense loss. These are demon slayers that have had the dedication to become the best of the best, demon slayers whose dedication and desperation to become more powerful propelled them forward through battles unimaginably more difficult than what we had seen Tanjiro overcome to that point. (My already existing familiarity with anime perhaps helped my speculation here a little, because I knew the battles from season 1 were ultimately going to be looked back on as "small fry," so I could further infer that the Hashira had fought much stronger and more deadly foes.) Such single-minded, and self-sacrificial, determination isn't common, it has to come from somewhere. However, this all actually also ties into why Miss Kanroji is one of my absolute favorite Hashiras. I can't say more about it yet though, because you haven't seen her backstory yet. I look forward to when you do!

The Mugan Train songs were the best! I loved watching LISAs first take on her demon slayers songs on youtube. Soooo good.

Ok so they've already told us why Tanjiro's inherited memory is important. He sees this guy with Hanafuda earrings and red eyes. Kyojuro's dad identified people with red eyes as Sun Breathing users. During his internal monologue in Ep. 5, Tanjiro says he can emulate that man's bright red sword. In the same episode, the Anger demon has an inherited memory of his own. He sees Tanjiro and his abilities the exact same way that Muzan saw "the swordsman who drove Lord Muzan into a corner and nearly beheaded him". That's HUGE. Tanjiro has similar abilities to Yorichii. His "insane" goal doesn't seem so ludicrous anymore...

Genya has really good development character, most ppl who read the manga loves him

"I hope by the time you finish Season 4, the Infinity Castle movie is out on streaming, so you can watch it with us!"

Sky Quest Music Official

Dude, if this is your personality IRL too and not just on video, which im assuming is the case, you are ONE HUNDRED percent just like Tanjiro in your personality! I was originally gonna say maaaayyybbbeee when you concluded this series (until the rest of it is released) you wouls do a cosplay of Mitsuri or Nezuko but since you're absolutely like Tanjiro...maybe you could do Tanjiro one👀👀

DreadPirateRob

Ketchup on eggs is pretty common in the southern U.S. My mom loves Ketchup on her eggs! It's OK I think, but I prefer hot sauce :)

kaliwali

i just listened to those and yes! soooo amazing!

kaliwali

oh, true! thank you for putting that together for me!

I love the emotion you can see in her while she sings. Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️

No release date yet, but the movie is already leaking everywhere

Shane

You're welcome!

PaulieXP

oh nice wouldn't mind a hint as to where i can dl it. i saw it opening night of course but i'd love to watch it at home too

tv tv

I’ve seen some talk about it on social media, but I never go looking for it. Though, I’m sure you could find good quality leaks if you really searched for them.

tv tv

This is literally the number one highest-grossing anime movie ever, and it’s been a year since it first hit theaters. They're even re-releasing it in Japan on Feb 6th, but still no word on the official release date elsewhere. I honestly don’t know what they’re waiting for.

Ervin

Hi, I'm late but the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Arc has been leaked to come on Crunchyroll on July 29th
