This felt like an insane and epic ending to the East Blue Saga!

Everywhere Luffy went in Loguetown, I felt the shadow of Gold Rogers hanging around. And I loved the comparisons made between them by those who have known Gold Rogers before his execution. They both smile in the face of death. They both inspire people without even trying. They both carry this impossible sense of freedom that draws others to them so effortlessly. And I love how much this arc honored the entire crew!Everyone got a moment that reminded me why they're here and what they're chasing.Zoro on his shopping quest to find two new swords and accidentally bumping into Tashigi one too many times. You could just see how much Kuina still lives inside his heart. It felt painful, confusing, and unfair. But it was fate. The same fate that brought Zoro to those swords in the shop. The same fate that tested his luck and conviction with the cursed blade. And Sanji. Finding out through the fish market that the All Blue very likely exists felt huge. The look on his face after he discovered real evidence that this impossible place isn't so impossible! It made me realize how much knowledge really is power. How if we dedicate our life to something, the stories we read might not just be myths after all. But true legends that open up to us because of our dedication to the knowledge we obtain. Then the chaos of the crew's exit from Loguetown.. That man with the face tattoos appearing from nowhere, talking in riddles, and somehow creating a massive green gust of wind at the exact moment Luffy needs it the most. Who was that?! Was this another sign of fate? Or was it something else entirely? It seemed so mystical and insane. The final scene with the crew finally leaving Loguetown and setting their sights on the Grand Line felt so hype! The send off celebration scene that I loved from the Live Action! The East Blue adventures were incredible and made me fall in love with this adventure from the very start. But this? This felt like the moment it really all begins. Loguetown felt like a bridge between Roger's era and Luffy's era. The torch being passed down to another crew brave enough to set sail. And after an exit like THAT? I'm so ready to see what's beyond the horizon!

I saw the next arc is apparently more of a filler arc, so it will only be available here on Patreon!Thank you all for adventuring with me here ✨

The first half dozen or so of the openings were dubbed in english and are really good.

SgtOddity

Ive never actually watched One Piece filler other than G5 arc so this should be interesting!

Happy to have you back! Hope your Disney trip went well! Yes you will soon learn more about why the Grand Line is the way it is. The four seas are separated by the Red Line and the Grand Line.

PG Modehouse

Congratulations! You've completed the tutorial zone in the giant open world adventure game known as One Piece!! You now have the toolkit and skillset to begin processing what the Grand Line plans to throw at you.

I can't wait for the next main arc, it's easily one of my favorites! (Arabasta, when it comes)

Great reaction! Now that you saw Captain Smoker as a kid in the anime, you can go back to the Live Action right after Gold Roger was executed, Captain smoker as a kid appears for a second or two. So excited and happy you're reaching this point already in your One Piece journey!

Tom

Actually forgot how sick this arc is despite it being so short. Lol Smoker and Dragon!! Zorro's sword flip is so epic. Usopp getting the goggles. Sanji cooking. Luffy's declaration and laugh all while facing death. Lol Buggy being Buggy. So good!

The grand line best and easily explained in our reality terms is it’s a massive mountain range that spans the entire one peice world, also be very watchful of the man with the face tattoos he’s is a very big and important person in the story of who luffy is and the one piece in general I will say once you figure out who he is and who you learn it from it gives a whole new power dynamic

Kase

Gold Roger was smiling, even as he died 🥲

Felreign

Just for your information, its Gold Roger, not Gold RogerS.

"My luck and this thing's curse, let's see which is stronger"

The way that Oda connects so much from the beginning that he started decades ago with where we are now in the story... Watching this through for a second time hits different in such a good way. I don't know that we will ever have such an epic story told again.

Inhereted will is really important for the show, Luffy with Shanks, Nami with Bellemere, Sanji with Zeff, Usopp with his father Yasopp and Zoro with Kuina. And more conections to discover as the journey goes on!!
