WE'RE BACK 💚 And Season 2 decided to immediately explode my brain with these first two episodes lol

I feel like I spent a good portion of these episodes just trying to wrap my head around what was happening LOL but in a good way? There's so many moving pieces already. Branching timelines, Loki time slipping (why??), the Temporal Loom, OB, Sylvie, the TVA. I feel like we were handed a bunch of dark colored puzzle pieces and the only way to solve it is to turn on every light, stare at each piece way too closely, and just keep trying and failing until something finally clicks (can you guys tell how much I love puzzles with all of these puzzle metaphors lol)But I think the biggest thing for me right now is Loki himself. I LOVE how much he's changed. He's still Loki, but there's this sincerity to him now that feels SO different from the Loki we knew. The one that chucked Stark off the building in blind rage lol. I love that he can laugh at it now and see how immature he was then.. Huge growth! He genuinely cares about the TVA, Mobius, Sylvie, and what happens to everyone on the timelines. And obviously Loki + Mobius is everything.Their friendship continues to be a highlight for me in this show.Mobius risking his own skin getting ripped off to save Loki while they casually argue?? That's true friendship right there. And OB is amazing, too! I already love him. He's satisfyingly clever and knows EVERYTHING about the TVA.Now I'm really curious where this season is going with the idea of free will. Before, the TVA treated pruning timelines like routine maintenance. But after what Dox did, you can see it in everyone's faces that they know what the timelines truly are now. And deep down, I know why Sylvie killed He Who Remained. She wanted the freedom to choose her own path. She gave that freedom to everyone as well. But now things are way too complicated and I'm wondering why the Loom, the pruning, and the entire TVA even exists. Is it really sinister? Or was there a higher meaning to it all that we still don't get? Was He actually the Devil?I already love how much my brain is exploding in these first two episodes. I'm confused, intrigued, and so happy to be back in the Loki/Mobius timeline.See you next week for more!Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/hC8g3EigMmsI watched this on Disney Plus

woohoo! Haven't seen this since it's initial release so looking forward to rewatching it! Tom Hiddleston is always fantastic as Loki

kaliwali

Yes! He's such a great actor!

Oh wow. I am both grateful and bummed. Now the work day cannot be over fast enough so I can get home and watch this. But I'm delighted for you to react to this, and your show notes really have me hyped up to see it.

I just realized I haven't even watched the first season. Come back later 😂

2026-09-07 13:00 You probably didn’t recognize the guy playing OB, since you haven’t gotten to the movies he was in. You recently reacted to the first Indiana jones movie, and he’s in the second one. He also has an interesting story. He was a child actor in a few movies, notable Indiana jones 2 and the goonies, but later stopped acting. He did continue to work in the movie industry, though mostly as a stunt choreographer (on X-men for example). Then after the success of the movie Crazy Rich Asians in 2018, he was inspired to get back into acting and had a small role in a Netflix family movie called Finding ʻOhana. Then in 2021 he starred in the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once where he won several awards for the role, among other the academy award, where he thanked Steven Spielberg for his role in Indiana jones.

Sylvie was holding “He Who Remains” Tempad she yoinked from him after she killed him.

You should definitly check out Everything Everywhere All At at Once. O.B.'s actor does a fantastic job in it and its just a besutiful and fun movie in general. Also you missed an end credits scene at the end of ep 1 that showed sylvie arriving at the mcdonalds. Luckily it wasnt suuper important

Awe, a cute end credit scene was missed at the end of episode 1, it was a precious scene but don't worry, it is not a super important scene. Episode 2 has enough context to work without it

53:00 The "travel tempad" is the device the TVA uses on prisoners, they used it on Loki at the beginning of Season 1 to rewind him back to a previous spot so he couldn't run away. That's what X-5 was using. Then in the fight, after he realized all those people were illusions by Loki he tried to use it again but Loki used magic to yank it out of his hands. Hope this helps clear that chase/fight scene up!

Wow, you literally only saw the first episode and were already so incredibly insightful about what’s going on. I won’t say what about, but damn I’m impressed. I didn’t even stop to think about any of that my first time watching this, I can’t wait to see how your insight evolves with each episode of new info. And I haven’t even watched the second half/episode of this reaction yet! edit: it’s probably one of the dumber moments, but for some reason I always crack up at Mobius: “Where are we?” Loki: “I was following you” Mobius: “No, I was following you” Loki: looks at him with genuine confusion “…You were clearly AHEAD of me”

Inhonor Oftrip

Love your reaction, thank you! And that room where Loki and Mobius had pie was made to look like an "automat". It was a type of dining establishment more popular in the earlier part of the 20th century where all types of food (not just desserts but also like sandwiches and plates of hot food) are placed in the different compartments. The customer would put coins in a slot next to the compartment of the food, open the door of the compartment to get the food, and eat at a table somewhere in the middle. Look it up to see some old-style pictures of them. I wish I had been around in the past to see some :)

I remember when this show came out, the trolls were complaining that Loki had been tamed and made to be overly emotional. They couldn't be more wrong. Props to the writers for allowing this character to grow and evolve. It's been so interesting watching Loki encompass aspects of the villain, hero, and anti-hero all at the same time. And Hiddleston plays each one to perfection.

kaliwali

oh nooo! i'll keep an eye out going forward. I honestly thought that was a preview into the next episode so i quickly turned it off LOL

kaliwali

OHHHHHH 🔥 you're right! ty for jogging my memory lol

kaliwali

what! i wish they still had those around bc that sounds awesome!

kaliwali

Yes! I love the evolved Loki and growth he's gone through so much! It's genius that he laughs at the entire reason why The Avengers movie happened 🤣 so good & makes you realize how far he's really come

20 16

You should add he stopped acting because no one picked him up as he got older .

EEOAO is a MUST watch

Season 2 is soo good! Don't worry about not talking a lot, it's better than talking too much and missing stuff. Loki's shadow magic was really cool.
