The game doesn't pause when in the home screen?! I'm mindblown with ted here, that's ridiculous, stupid as well. I understand elden ring doesn't have a pause menu, but why would I want MOST games to run on the background when I'm OUTSIDE of the game? that's the wildest thing I've heard in a while.

None of you sound like you're from LA in terms of an actual "accent", though Alex fits the vernacular and cadence almost exactly, if more articulate. Both Brett and Ted are very standard. I could not place either of you except as General American, which could be from anywhere but generally means you're educated (as I understand the linguistic terminology).

There is a way to true pause. When you're in the equipment mean at the bottom of the screen hit the help button then click menu explanation. I have tested it mid fight
