QOTD: In the rain, and in the snow. Because we live in the woods and would have to take him out at night as a pup to train him I would play Beard Bros loudly on my phone to keep skunks and possums away.

I am so glad I live in the middle of no where and can just let me dogs out to go to the bathroom in our fenced in front yard etc. No walking, no picking up the poop to throw away, or anything of that sort. Only issue we have is our Great Pyr wanting to stay outside all night to protect the property from anything and everything.

I have a fenced in back yard and let our dog shit back there and then I have my 12 and 14 year old clean up the shit once a week.

I've never been one to comment with the intention of soliciting a response from the creator(s), but please, Alex, I gotta know what whale tastes like. I 100% agree on trying unique/new foods, and (forgive the pun), that has always been something of a white whale for me. Additionally, the pop culture references were all so up my alley today, you love to see it. Keep on keepin on, bros.

Didn't have whale, but I (without knowing at first) had dolphin in Okinawa. It tastes like a blend of a gamey meet like venison and a fishy meat like tuna. When cooked, the meat, was almost black

Fascinating. That makes sense, but what was the texture/marbling like? Whales are famously fatty, but is the actual meat lean, chewy, tender, juicy? That said, the venison/tuna combo sounds pretty good. (also worth acknowledging the ethical/conservation concerns around whaling, but unless I can afford to travel anytime soon, this is more of a curiosity, anyways)

Ted, my man, you can absolutely sleep in with a dog around. I have a 90lb German Shepherd mix, and yes, she will wake me up sometimes when she needs to go out. But she does her business in a few minutes, and then she comes back in and I just go back to sleep. That said, if you have a big dog and it wants your attention, it will get your attention. Very hard to ignore an insistent German shepherd.

"The King in Yellow", by Robert W. Chambers, predates the Cthulhu mythos. Great book. Better than anything Lovecraft wrote, but you can really see the influence it had on him.
