The thing about papers is... writing them is Ass, absolute ass. You want to investigate a subject, conduct a bunch of experiments and get a lot of data, you find out some interesting conclusions, that's the scientific process and for most people who study science I think that's probably the most fun. But writing of the actual paper, the amount of bureaucracy-like structure and pompousness that goes into writing them is exhausting. I wouldn't abide with using AI Exclusively to write out the paper, but using it as a help to smooth out the parts of the writing process that are more formality and bullshit than anything else is fine. Like imagine if you wanted to write a paper, but all publishers said that you had to write it in Klingon or it wont be published, so you're forced to learn how to write in klingon before you can engage in scientific discourse with the community. I'd rather have chat gpt help me translate it to klingon and focus on the things that I actually care about, kind of like that.
