QOTD 1: Do you own a katana?QOTD 2: How do you feel about the pacing of this show?

Comments

Adam Dotson

QOTD1: I wish. QOTD 2: Honestly you guys could play this for the next 5 years and I would be ecstatic for every episode, and I would wager that a large portion of viewers feel the same. The vibes and fun that you three bring whenever you play a soulslike game is amazing.

Joshua Collier

I think the pacing is great. Haven’t played in a while, so it’s mostly fresh to me, and it’s interesting to see your approach to how you’ll build out Mario.

Colby Mazur

I feel like the pacing has been pretty good and honestly I don't care if there is gameplay at all

ToastMcGoats

QOTD 2: As long as you guys are having a good time I'm down for whatever. The vibes are what I'm here for.

J Bot

I would watch SBB Plays Elden Ring for the entire rest of 2024 and be excited for every episode. I'm very down with the methodical "open the map and explore every area" vibes. Patreon.com/superbeardbros is the best thing that you can spend $10 on on the entire internet.

Ash

To the question, the pacing is great and with the dlc coming out we are eatin good out here.

Joseph Burrell

1. Used to. 2. I don't care what you play or for how long. I just love you three hanging out, talking shit, beating old bits like a dead horse, and being your hilarious selves. No worries. Take as long with the game as you want.

Lexi Harper

As a huge Chucky fan (seen all the movies at least twice, with my favorite being Seed), it's definitely the humor and personality of the films that locked me in as a long-time fan. A couple of them (CP1, Curse) are genuinely good horror movies, but while I do enjoy them as such, that's not WHY I show up for a Chucky movie. QOTD: I do not. I do have a small scimitar and a tomahawk, though. QOTD: I'm enjoying it! I think the pace is very chill.

Joshua Levine

Honestly, I rarely care about the game and your progress. I watch for the conversations first, gameplay second. The only reason this gameplay even matters to me is that your Mario build is fascinating! That butt stomp and the punches are crazy to watch... You could do 500 episodes and I'd watch every single one. Twice.

Shelby

My dad has a katana that he brought home after a deployment to Yokosuka. A butter knife is sharper than that thing.

Shelby

Love the pacing. So glad to have y'all back. Keep at it Bros

Lina

Question 2: The loose nature of the show works really well with Elden Ring as progress is made but not in a way that feels forced. Even beyond that, the chill vibes and structure itself paired with any game really feels like a big part of the identity of the show and works excellently for hilarious banter. 👌

Durn Tortoise

Q1: Yup. Q2: The pace feels in line with how you want to play the game, and the faster you progress the less content I have to watch so I ain't rushin' ya. Honestly, I just wanna see more clothes on Mario as that feels more like progression with regards to the theme of the run.

Thomas

Q2: I like the pacing. It's going to be a long game, so I'm expecting stuff to take a while.

Kivi

Pacing is perfectly fine. As someone else mentioned it’s about the conversation first and gameplay second. Keep doing your thing 👌👌👌

Jeremy Sharlup

I think Chucky went through a tonal evolution that was similar to many 80's-90's horror villains. First movie tried to be scary, 2nd through 13th was comedy and the reboots over compensated on the horror. Freddy, Pinhead and Leprechaun come to mind.

Dustin Gibbons

The big Mario question is really this, in games without the mushrooms that make you big are you playing as little Mario? In other words is Mario in Mario 64 big Mario or little Mario

Korbo

I could easily watch 150 episodes of elden ring, but I think the pacing could be better. I'm not a fan of exploring the entire area all in one swoop and ignoring all the "landmark" bosses or more "main story" type content. I do like that you're exploring everything, but personally I'd prefer to vary a bit, explore a bunch of limgrave, visit the castle when you're ready, back and explore more, touch on liurnia, maybe then finish limgrave. Not literally exactly like that, just as an example. I guess I'm saying I still love the episodes but I'm a bit fatigued of limgrave.

GhostBongo

QOTD: Nah the pace is tight.

SrirachaFlash

I’m down with the pacing. Because it’s a lot how I play through elden ring every time. This could go 300+ episodes and I’d still be down to watch

DN_Peyton

I think the pacing has been great. Elden ring is great cause each play through is so unique I’m always invested plus the adventures of the Italian stallion lol

WaMaSi

I do not own a katana. I am here to see the final build no matter how long it takes.

Spawn256

I'd love to see Mario kill more bosses with butt slam! K love you guys bye.

MY pal, Stephen Daniels!

QotD: 1. yes I do. A few prop, one real. 2. It’s fine, I wouldn’t even mind if you guys grinded for the aristocrat hat. My man needs his cap

happyknucklz

I do own a Katana (i also used to sell them) The first few episodes were a bit of a slog, but once you got the buttslam, it's been going at a good pace. And I really want Mario to embrace the frenzied flame.

Joris

I love this series

Jay Wilkey

buy that stuff! *hold out hand for Baconator*

Tiger Bauer

Brad Dourif is who they're thinking of for the voice of Chucky. Though Don Mancini is the creator of the series and is still very much involved in the mainline Chucky series. Oh and QOTD, I don't own a Katana but I own a Bo Staff and a little Tonto shaped Machete. And also I think the pacing of the show is fine! I hope there's like 300 episodes of Elden Ring I don't care how long it takes! I am here for the long plays of From Soft games.

Ben Rollo

Loving the pacing, I'm thrilled to have so much stuff to look forward to and conversations to provoke thought

Ronnie Patrick

Gonna be real, I do not see a way this series was ever going to clock in under 200 episodes so you guys keep keeping on. I'll be here for every one.

Taylor Hodgson-Scott

1) I do not own a Katana. 2) Pacing is okay, it got a little rocky a few eps ago when y'all were getting back into the swing of it and kinda forgot some of your big boy Mario moves. But if one thing would really make the difference, I'd have to say it'd be... an Aristocrat's hat.

Jeff

Pace is good. Keep the chill vibes going.

AwfulPossum

1. I don't own a katana but I own one of those replica Mater Swords you can get in an Artist's alley or shop at a convention. 2. Pacing has been good for me! the series has been a real comfy vibe for my family. We just like to hear y'all talk and if you wanna do that with a large-scale open world game, that's cool. I also find it funny we're still in Limgrave but hey, that's the size of the game! I think it's more up to what the "purpose" of the LP is apart from entertainment. Do you wanna just go through the entire map with the Mario gimmick or did you just want to beat it with said gimmick. Either way, I'm here for the ride Bearded Brothers

Johannes Loh

Pacing is great for me. Watching this LP is relaxing for me, especially when I have stress at work. For reference, I never finished the Bloodborne LP. You lost me when you spent 10-15 episodes on the same boss. So I guess, chill conversation vibes are more important than seeing you fight bosses etc.

Diz Flores

Pacing is going well. I, personally, want this game to go on as long as possible 😅 Without it burning you guys out as well. Hella excited about the DLC dropping and you boys playing it alongside all the others who get it. I’ll be one of em! Love the show, you guys are great

Dave P

Pacing is great for me. I really like this show. I hope y'all play the DLC when it comes out this summer.

The Collective Unconscious

The pacing is nice. It’s making for peak “have on in the background” kind of watching while I play games. The only thing I want more of is I want Mario to become more Mario. We gotta get this mans hat. Also I own two Katanas. One’s a little smaller than the other.

Joe Bridger (Wallflyer)

At about 14minutes: the feathers don't give Mario a yellow cape in this universe

Nelly👹

pacing is perfect, these games are meant to be explored throughly like this to gain more story insight and to be prepared for late game enemies and bosses. Sure you all agree.

Matt Rodgers

Start going after some main bosses and story content.

perplexpert

QOTD 1: I own two katanas. One is a non-usable replica I bought in Japan when I was like 17. The other I inherited from my grandfather after he died. I assume he brought it back from Japan after WW2, but he never talked about his service so I don't know the story (and would've probably been afraid to ask if I had had the opportunity). QOTD 2: Play at literally whatever pace is enjoyable to you. I'm here for the vibes.

Cuan

See, Fozzie bear!

UhhJeff

pacing is great bros. i personally love the longer playthroughs the most. BotW and the Nuzlocke you guys did got me through a ton of shit days lol

TheGoodTimeGamer

1. I do but it was in my "I just got a job and have money to spend" phase 2. Love the pacing!!!! Just trying to blitz through it wouldn't feel as fun to me

Pirolizard

1) No, but I do own swords. 2) I'm just here to listen to you guys talk. The particular game in the background is secondary, so I don't really care how long it take you to get through it.

Teh Chikon

QOTD 2: I'm curious when y'all are gonna fight the boi who's too big for his horse and throws stars but other than I don't see anything wrong with y'all "doing you" and playing as Brett sees fit including the speed at which he consumes the content of the game, if he wants to spend a whole episode staring at the Erdtree and singing Speed Demon then by all means I'm here for it. P.S. The Grimoire, at least as it was in Destiny 1 was a terrible way to deliver narrative especially when it came to making me care about why I'm doing what I'm doing and wtf happened before I was woken up by my Ghost. And now that it's gone I can either read the horrid wiki or watch some 3 hour video with 50 ads, they could have just given me a codex tab and made grimoire score meaningful like passive stat boosts or something.

Ezequiel Sanfelippo

QoTD 1: I don't own a Katana, but I have multiple Japanese kitchen knives. QoTD 2: I love the pacing, it's just plain old dope to see you guys enjoying everything that the game offers you when you encounter it.

Dane1647

QoTD 2: I do wish the transformation into Mario was a little more quicker. That said when we finally get "Mario Clothes" it will be sweet.
