Want to give your characters some extra life?In this quick, beginner-friendly tutorial, I’ll show you how to easily hollow out eyes by yourself in any design using negative objects in the slicer : perfect for fitting printable craft eyes or glass cabochon eyes. Even if you’ve never touched advanced slicer tools before, you’ll be able to master this in just a few minutes!

A quick note: We will still provide craft eye versions to ALL our designs, we decided to make this tutorial for you, so you can have the freedom of creating craft eye versions for your own characters too.

You’ll also get:

Tutorial project files to follow along step-by-step

A ready-to-use eye hollower file (perfect for 10mm eyes — scale for other sizes: 60% for 6mm, 80% for 8mm, 120% for 12mm, etc.)

BONUS keychain-making tutorial at the end of the video, and useful keychain loop file (not just a simple default torus file)

Bring your models to life with eyes that really pop! 👀✨

!!! I never knew about / noticed 'mirror'! That will be a lifesaver! I'm always fighting to make the stupid angle the same! :D Thanks!

You are the best designer! I checked a few YouTube videos previously and well... THIS shows it MUCH better! THANK you all!!!!

SEREV3d

I'm glad you find it useful! You're right, sadly most tutorials on youtube have so much distractive elements, and not truly "step-by-step". We're actually preparing a little series of tutorials, with a bunch of useful tips and tricks, and we will start releasing them here on Patreon, similar to this video.😊

SEREV3d

You're welcome! There are bunch of little "tricks", which can make our printing life easier, and sometimes they are not even too complicated, it's just we don't necessarily know about all of them.

Rena Marulli

This is absolutely amazing. Thank you for this.
