Also Monsta X has such a vast discography, that they had to skip some song. I kind of missed songs like 'Hero', 'Alligator', 'Fantasia', 'Play It Cool', 'Follow', 'Love', 'Rush Hour'...

Two more things. First, it is believed in Korea that the blood type has an influence on your personality. Comparable to zodiac signs. That's the reason, why it was listed on the kprofiles website. Second, replacing members in already established groups is very rare. I can't think of any from the top of my head. There are groups that have switched their entire lineup, but those are usually lesser known. A certain number of members is considered more fitting, but there is no real proof of that. E.g. the rookie group Say My Name debuted in October 2024 and in July this year they added an 8th member. I assume the company did this, because they have the feeling the group will benefit from the added member instead of replacing another member.

The idols do date in secret. I forget who’s interview I was watching but a female idol was saying how they all have a 2nd secret cell phone the agency doesn’t know about and they use that to communicate with whoever they are secretly dating. It just can’t be public because a big part of being an idol is that you give the fantasy to the fans that they are single and available.

I remember watching that too, but I thought she was talking specifically about during their trainee days is when they would have a secret second phone. Like after they’ve debuted they can date, just keep it secret from the public. But as a trainee you’re not allowed any distractions. I could certainly be wrong

Kpop idols are allowed to date. It might be prohibited for a year or two right after debuting, but most kpop idols still do date. They just don’t talk about it because fans are crazy and will start a “scandal” bc of it. For example, Chen from EXO revealed that he was getting married and was having a child, so fans protested for him to be kicked out of the group. Fans will even send trucks to the companies that have signs saying the certain members exposed for dating should leave. The singers partners will also get a ton of hate too.

Kpop groups very rarely add another member if one leaves or gets kicked out. It kind of it what it is. Honestly Korean kpop fans can be very HORRIBLE because they got attached to the old group so.... One example is Red Velvet, their youngest member joined later and she got tons of death threats at the time.
