The high note was Bang Chan😆

Binnie

Its funny that you uploaded the video with the age question today because it is in fact I.Ns birthday😂 He turned 25 today while Bang Chan as the oldest is 28

So I’m really annoyed now because I could swear I’ve seen a video from a concert or something where Chan corrects us on the assessment that that high note is him and explains that it’s actually Hyunjin. Why am I annoyed? Because I can’t find it anywhere now that I’m looking, but I’m like 99% sure that I’ve seen it somewhere. So idk if I’m going crazy/have mixed it up with something, or if it’s just drowned under other clips, but I’m gonna say it anyway but humbly note that I’ve aware that I might be wrong — I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it and that note is, contrary to popular belief, Hyunjin. The falsetto part earlier while they’re looking into an aquarium is definitely Chan though.

Pretty sure Bang Chan did the high note at the end. And he sings second verse pretty high as well. Man I feel like his vocal is so underrated, he's such an amazing artist. I mean all of them are but Chan has a special place in my heart lol. About their age: Bang Chan is 28 now (October 1997), he's turning 29 this year and Chan is the oldest. Lee Know's birth year is 1998, Chanbin's 1999, Hyunjin, Han, Felix and Seungmin are year 2000 and youngest I.N just turned 25 on February 8th (2001)

Abby

the only one that I can think of is when he explained that one high part in Cover me is Felix but thats probably not what you mean😬

GEM

Unfortunately not, no 😂 I did scroll past that video while looking for this one that I could swear I’ve seen tho, lol

Kagari

i dont think we are wrong, the 'come with me' high notes at the end are Hyunjin like Chan says (they are super impressive too and i love that Chan praised him for it) but i think that the one Tim noticed right before that part its Chan

This song is soo good, thank u for the reaction!! And since you mentioned the database of their work, in terms of their discography without considering multiple versions and remixes of songs and including all of their osts, solo songs, collabs and some unreleased songs that they have only done live, they have around 270 songs 🤯 They are really insane considering they have only been active since late 2017.

Thank you Tim! Seeing people watch ESCAPE for the first time is one of my favorite hobbies. This was my most-listened song from all of last year, which is extra crazy when you consider I hadn't heard any Stray Kids songs until August. Both high notes were Bang Chan - its easier to see during the live performances. They have all the duo songs live performances in the Stray Kids concert MOVIE, which may still be in theatres when you see this. I saw it twice and I loved it (the crowd noise was a bit loud for me but I assume that was on purpose to create the "concert experience"). I'm not sure if you remember the comments from October but this song is a sequel to Red Lights, according to Bang Chan and Hyunjin. This is another song they shyly refuse to explain but the closest I've seen is when Hyunjin said "if Red Lights is about being tied up, ESCAPE is about untying". 😂 I'd love a deeper reaction (maybe also revisit Red Lights with fresh eyes and see the thematic connections), especially if you look at the plot in the video too 🥺 I love this video because it's like a movie. I could not for the life of me find the clip of Hyunjin that I remember but I found this silly clip of them discussing ESCAPE on stage. It looks like they did this banter at every tour stop just a little bit different: https://youtube.com/shorts/byv__TwrU-A?si=DpgCmlITKqYgqRky

Oh man I thought I had been leading people astray but yeah looking at the video I think the high note Chan is referring to in that video is a slightly different one than the one Tim pointed out.

GEM

Oh yeah that does sound like it’s probably a different one. My bad! 😂 Thank you all for humouring me and helping me play detective :) Then yes, it’s Chan. With Hyunjin’s recent voice troubles, perhaps it’s best if Chan handles those notes in the near future, lol

Libby

Apperantly the Movie is going to be on Amazon prime🤩

Savallion

Oh? Did they announce this somewhere? I'm very hopeful/excited

I think a good way to do this would be to keep the short takes to music videos / color coded and do deeper dives later on on live performances and such! they have so much content and many versions of songs that you could easily review it without repeating the video.

also i saw an article that says that Ban Chan is on the way to become the most credited artist in the whole K pop industry. he's only a few songs behind other artists
