The clone age rapidly. The production of the clones took place around the time of Phantom Menace and it was roughly around 9 years between it and Attack of the clones. A clone ages around 2,5X faster than a normal human.

I don't know how good you are at names but Hevy was the one who gave his medal to 99 (the old, deformed clone) during the training episode. Echo and Fives will feature more prominently during the show later and especially Fives will have a strong personality that'll make you distinguish him.

At first I was annoyed by the droids that say "roger roger" but they eventually grew on me. Now I get a little smile every time they say "roger roger", I find them somewhat funny. Have you now gotten used to the voice actors for Obi-Wan and Anakin, or is it still weird to hear them in a different voice?

Abby Jane

Lol that’s what’s happening with me! I’ve definitely gotten used to it now, now it’s going to be weird when I rewatch the prequels and hear their original voices 😂

Abby Jane

omg I usually am good with names so I’m annoyed that I didn’t catch that

My head canon for why the battle droids sound so stupid is that the separatists were trying to cut costs as much as possible and didn't want to pay for a professional voice actor when they created the droids' voice units and just made it the equivalent of early AI speech synthesis. They probably thought "it's just a walking gun, who cares what it sounds like". Only after cranking out a couple of million of the things did they realise how annoying hearing "Roger Roger" in a high pitch hundreds of times an hour would actually be. As to their stupidity, I don't have to invent reasons for that. As designed they're usually meant to be centrally controlled by a battle computer (which is why they all shut down in The Phantom Menance when little Anakin blows up the ship in orbit). The later ones have independent brains but they're very cheap mass-produced things to deal with the vulnerability of the earlier central control models.
