Fun fact: Those angels around minute 17:30 is those Anakin refers to when he first meets Padmé on Tatooine and asks if she's an angel. Also, part of the Separatist invasion of Ryloth was shown when you watched season 3 episode 3. Also, Anakin actually commited a war-crime by pretending to deliver medicals to lower the opponents defences. False surrender isn't allowed, but Obi Wan did the same thing in the Clone Wars Movie.

You've said a few times watching this that you're less interested in the shooting and fighting parts and more the talking and background. You might think that's a less common attitude but I think many Clone Wars fans feel the same about it. Perhaps the thing we like most about the series is how it fills in so many things that the movies didn't have time to and makes everything more believable. Especially Anakin and Padme's relationship and Anakin's fall to the Dark Side. Both of these things are a bit jarring in the movies, with all due respect, because there just isn't time for it. You go from "I hate sand" to marriage to doomed finalé without any in between. Same with Anakin jumping suddenly to red-eyed sith. Watching this show, it all suddenly feels much more natural because you see both things happening over time. Yeah, that's a lot of words to say: Don't feel you're alone in being more interested in walking and talking than lasers *pew pew*.

Glad to know I'm not the only one!!
