Absolute cinema.

ㅋ

this last arc really is the all time peak of star wars, the feeling that finale creates is so sinister, i dont think any other show leaves me with such an empty feeling afterwards, ahsoka going back to bury the clones and their helmets painted orange in her honour is so bittersweet, the sheer scale of tragedy and betrayal of order 66 is unmatched

Interesting. Most people who never cared for the Jedi share the same view on them as you did for the clones. They're all basically the same person. Emotionless, passive idiots. I can't think of more than two traits that separates Windu, Luminara, Ki Adi-Mundi, Ayla Secura, Adi Galia, Eeth Koth and basically any other Jedi than Plo Koon, Yoda, Obi-Wan and maybe Kit Fisto. And the Jedi themselves would've had enough evidence to stop everything but chose not too. The Jedi knew that a sith controlled the senate, Dooku created the clones, a clone "malfunctioned" and killed a jedi and on top of that, Yoda saw everything in the last arc of season 6, but they chose to do nothing and let millions die and suffer. From all the video-essays and threads I've seen, the reason people relate to Anakin isn't because he's misunderstood and wants to do the right thing. People tend to like Anakin because unlike almost every other Jedi, he's not an emotionless NPC who just watches things unfold before his eyes without doing anything. He acts on it, and that's something most people can relate to. One thing I personally hate from the movies is when he tells Yoda about his concern for his visions and Yoda basically tells him to get over himself and that his concern and inability to process his emotions doesn't matter, he must learn to ignore them. Most people can't relate to someone with that mindset, but they can relate to someone who does litterally anything for the people they care for, and someone who gets manipulated because of it. I assume it's for similar reasons that you grew fond of Ventress despite the horrible things she did, and signed up to do. For me, this POV of Order 66 is way more tragic than the one shows in ROTS because we see Rex trying to resist it with every bone in his body, and him litterally crying because he's willing to kill his own brother to help Ahsoka, and she's not willing to kill them. The clones show way more character in this show than any Jedi except the main characters. That's why people grow close to the clones while they don't care for the Jedi. Also, Ahsoka was willing to join Maul until he brought up that he would've killed Anakin. One thing consistent throughout all of her other appearances is that she's unwilling to kill people she care about. Her chosing to reject Maul probably saved her life. Maul would've been wrecked by this version of Anakin, and him and Ahsoka weren't near powerful enough to take down Sidious together. But from what you're saying, I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts on a certain character in Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you ever take a break from Star Wars-series, I definitly recommend Nickelodeons Avatar: The Last Airbender. One of the best received series of all time (7th highest rated on IMDB, 5th if you exclude documentaries) with scores similar to Game Of Thrones.

Season seven was released by Filoni 6 years after season 6 . He wanted to finish the incomplete story of the clone wars.

One of the best fight scenes in Star Wars between Asoka and Maul. It was motion captured not just drawn freely.

Everything about the last arc is absolute cinema, one of the few arcs I can re-watch multiple times without getting tired of it. The last scene with Ahsoka and also the last scene with Vader always hit right in the feels :( I wonder what it was that Ahsoka wanted to tell Anakin I also wonder what Vader was thinking when he picked up her lightsaber and watched Morai (Ahsokas bird) flying in circles above him... was he hoping that Ahsoka might still be alive? Is he hunting her down? Why is he searching through the wreck? Perhaps there was still some Anakin in him at this point in time, just looking for her. Idk, and I like that its left to our interpretation. That last scene though, where the camera zooms into the helmet :'( So powerful and meaningful without ever saying a word. It was the end of the clone wars, the republic, the jedi.. all destroyed and buried by the shadow walking away from that helmet painted with the facial features of his "deceased" apprentice. I have always been an Anakin fan, and I make a distinction with Vader.. meaning I am a fan of who Anakin was during the clone wars, not what he became afterwards. I think the "sympathy" stems more for the tragedy that is his life (caused by his own actions of course). Also, he is a lot more relatable than almost any other jedi, because the other jedi feel closer to friendly robots with powers than living beings... Anakin just feels a lot more human. I know we hyped up this series in the beginning, and that from this hype, I remember you saying that you were expecting this series to change your life or something like that :D I know you were exaggerating when you said that, but I do hope it changed the way you view star wars as a whole. What a journey, I can't believe it's over... I still feel like next week you're going to be posting more clone wars reactions :') I assume you will watch the next star wars show some time after the poll closes? Thanks for your reactions Abby, they always make my day! Can't wait for the next show!

The 'Siege of Mandalore' arc, for me, cemented why The Clone Wars is the best animated Star Wars series ever. It’s a masterful combination of everything that made the show great: - Emotional Impact: The parallel narrative to Episode III from Ahsoka's perspective makes Anakin's fall and the tragedy of Order 66 intensely personal and heartbreaking. - Technical Brilliance: The lightsaber duels were incredibly well-executed and perfectly rendered. - Character Depth: We witness the humanity of the clones (especially Rex) and the conclusion of Ahsoka’s journey into a mature, independent hero. That’s it for Clone Wars! It was such a good and wonderful journey, Abby, watching Clone Wars all the way through with you again. I’m really looking forward to your future reactions, especially to upcoming Star Wars content. Keep up the great work!

Abby- you have about half the Star Wars story, there’s much much more to see. A lot of it related and tied into this and everything else.

Judd Osborne

I can agree with you on Annakin, I’ve seen everything Star Wars except for the toddler cartoon show ( and I’ve watched a few episodes of that) and I feel the same way.

Judd Osborne

Oh, & I haven’t watched ANY of the Lego Star Wars either.

And for Christmas we can all watch the Star Wars Holiday Special and celebrate “ Life Day” together on Kashyyyk.

Well it has made me love Star Wars a lot more, and it’s also the reason I have this amazing community, so it has changed my life in some ways 🥰 I plan on watching the next show either this weekend or next, bc I really wanted to react to the Frankenstein movie this weekend!

CINEMA. I remember when I first saw your Episode 3 reaction recommended on YouTube over a full year ago. Then the journey and investment you went on watching all of Clone Wars. One thing I always enjoyed was your perspective and ideas simply off only watching the movies and having only that information to judge characters on. It truly felt real to see your perspective grow and understanding in a way a lot of reactors can’t fully convey. I do understand your feelings on how the show kinda pulls a reverse game of thrones. The show is remembered quite fondly because although none of the arcs are the worst thing you’ve seen the highs are some of the best stuff Star Wars has done IMO. The luxury that this show had was mainly time, being able to show more worlds and characters throughout the galaxy. Introducing concepts like Mortis or the inhibitor chips that can fundamentally change how you look at pre existing events. The quality definitely can vary and after many rewatches of the show, I see how frustrating that can be at times. Though, overall like you mentioned believe the journey to be worth it as so much of the world is expanded through these episodes and characters. The finale and the entire final arc is up there with some of the highest rated episodes of TV in IMDB history and deservingly so. To add some hope, it is really exciting to see you want more and to continue these characters stories. As you watch more shows, I feel you’ll get the answers and understanding you want. The luxury of how blind you are of the other content is really good and can’t wait to see your reactions to many moments that will connect with this show. For many of us this finale episode was released on May 4th, 2020 and we had years of content in between the initial cancellation and then the show returning. Like the Darth Maul comic or other media in different shows, we knew bits and pieces having some questions answered while others left for speculation. When Vader walks away from the Ahsoka helmet it truly felt like a goodbye to a project that helped so many fall in love with Star Wars even more. It was the final stamp on this world and the characters as the Clone Wars ended. There really is so much to say and genuinely can’t wait to continue as you move through the other shows. Overall, thank you Abby this really was one of the best Clone Wars reactions and I’m really happy to see how the Star Wars journey continues!!!

It has been quite the journey Abby you were by far one of my favorite reactors to see watch the Clone Wars can't wait for future uploads!
