SUDDEN IMPACT (1983) - Full Watch Along

Sudden Impact is a 1983 American neo-noir action-thriller film, the fourth in the Dirty Harry series, directed, produced by, and starring Clint Eastwood (making it the only Dirty Harry film to be directed by Eastwood himself) and co-starring Sondra Locke. The film tells the story of a gang-rape victim (Locke) who decides to seek revenge on her rapists 10 years after the attack by killing them one by one. Inspector Callahan (Eastwood), famous for his unconventional and often brutal crime-fighting tactics, is tasked with tracking down the serial killer.

If I didn't know the franchise and didn't know this was a Clint Eastwood movie, that tagline..... "Dirty Harry is at it again" might have had me wondering what genre of film you were watching Coby 😂

That was Clint's real life wife for about a decade (Sondra Locke). She was in a few movies with him. The other one that was really good was The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Another great cop movie that pairs Clint Eastwood with Sondra Locke I would recommend is, "The Gauntlet" (1977). They had great chemistry on and off screen. By the way, the portrait she was painting wasn't Harry's face, it was a self-portrait.

You are Talking about "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" (1974) which came out a year after "Magnum Force" The dark silhouette of Clint (Dirty Harry) or should I say our Superhero is such a great shot.

I remember being disappointed when I saw this back in the day, but I really liked it on this watch. Fun reaction! Coby seemed especially upbeat for this one, and that positive energy had me smiling before the movie even got going.

Sondra and Clint were in a live-in relationship and frequent professional collaborators for over 13 years (from 1975 to 1989). The romance was complex, as both were married to others for much of their time together. The Gauntlet (1977) with both of them is worth a watch. A Perfect World (1993) is another Clint Eastwood movie that I think you would enjoy, even though it's more of a Kevin Costner movie.
