After you finish the series I truly hope you react to the documentary on Netflix. It will shed light on the confusing aspects that the series failed to show

I dont know why the show didnt show the abuse the mom inflicted on the boys, especially Lyle. She SAd him when he was a kid too, and would mentally torment them. For example, Lyle would wet the bed at night and Kitty would refuse to change his sheets, would grab him by the hair and and put his face into the urine. She wasn't a good mom at all. There were also instances when she would bring the boys upstairs to Jose herself when they upset her (confirmed by the relatives). She wasn't only an enabler, she was also a perpetrator.
