Amber, my dear, you spoil us!! Thank You so much for this reaction. One of their best albums ever❣️

Rowan Figueroa

Stevie's voice is hypnotizing. I have loved her basically my whole life. She's another voice that soothes my soul.

Amber Rogers

I love Fleetwood Mac, and this is one of the greatest albums ever recorded! But I have to say, they are 1000× better live! You need to watch the concert from the Mirage Tour 😊😊

Tom Kroupa

Classic album! Thanks for reacting to it and offering your thoughts!

Anthony Caples

“Don’t Stop” was Bill Clinton’s 1992 Campaign theme song. Fleetwood Mac reunited to play it at his presidential inauguration!

Michael Griffin

This makes so much sense alongside S3 of AHS, with Lily Rabe's "Misty" swamp witch character. And the other thing. 😶

Love this album. We saw them 3 different times...great choice

Amber there are a lot of songs I wish you didn’t already experience the first time on that other channel for your first time. To say your former listen partner ruined the experience of them is a vast understatement!

Next album suggestion: “Bella Donna” (1981) by Stevie Nicks

This just made my evening! Another great after hours would be Linda Ronstadt: The Sound Of My Voice. Great Documentary. It is currently included on Prime.

Debra

This is a great album. Love revisiting it with you. Hard to pick my favorite Fleetwood Mac song but, hands down, my favorite from Christine is "Think About Me." RIP

Chris Orlando

Top 10 of Album of all time! Great selection.. glad you liked it so much.

You listen to this album, close your eyes, and you get transported back to 1977 in Southern California. There’s so much energy on this album that snaps, crackles, and pops when the band plays together. You can feel the desert sand beneath your feet. You can see the sunset over the skyline on a crisp, summer night. And in the studio, the tension between the band is quite palpable. I very much enjoyed your reaction to this, Amber.

I “borrowed” this album from my father and wore it out. Never returned it. I mean it was just up in my bedroom so he could have taken it back, but it was mine now. 😂😂😂 Christine, Lindsey, and Stevie shared the lead singing role. Generally, whoever wrote the song, took the lead.

JJlovesPrince

Oh! And, I highly recommend watching The Dance concert that they filmed during one of their reunion tours (after you hopefully do the Prince Glam Slam performance please please please!) They were still great, and the drama and emotion still shined through all those years later.

Just a couple of classic rock suggestions for full album listens, STYX The Grand Illusion and REO Speedwagon Hi Infidelity. Saw STYX and Kevin Cronin last year and they did both these albums in their entirety. Great show

mecuskerd

2 great bands live. We saw them together...like 15 years ago. Great concert, the headline band was Boston. It was an all day event....

mecuskerd

We were lucky enough to see her 4 different times...she is awesome

Well said...lol I was in SoCal back in '77 (actually..,still there). Those were the BEST of times, so much going on. Great memories 😁

Elizabeth Franco

Great album! Just wanted to mention that a couple of weeks back Linda Ronstadt celebrated her 80th birthday! Maybe sometime you could react to her album Prisoner in Disguise.

Elizabeth Franco

Back in the 60’s Fleetwood Mac had no females, until Christine joined around 1967. Stevie and Lindsay didn’t join until 1975.

Elizabeth Franco

I absolutely love the blend of Buckingham and McVie’s voices

Elizabeth Franco

Drummer Mick Fleetwood, guitarist Lindsey Buckingham,Christine McVie keyboards and Lindsey keyboards and bassist John Mc Vie

mecuskerd

Didn't he also play sax that day? 🤔

I was hoping you would react to this album. I also suspected it would be very personal and hard for you with all the memories from their music connected to a special time in your life. But great reaction, you are a very brave and open minded Persen. And I knew you finally would see the talent of Lindsey. I bought the debut album of Stevie Nicks long long time ago and immediately became a fan. Did not take long before I was a F. Mac fan, and like you I started appreciate Lindsey more and more. I hope you are ready to do: Crime of the century by Supertramp soon.

This is a tough one for someone going through heartbreak to listen to in front of other people. Thank you for being so vulnerable. I feel like I am at peace with my break up from my ex until I listen to this album as a whole. It is amazing that this band has 3 singers capable of making an amazing album on their own. But they mix together so well. When any 2 of them combine, it is beautiful. But when ask 3 do, it is pure magic. And the musicianship of the entire band is special. And with ask the great songs on this album, when I listen to the whole thing, Songbird a the lady track brings me to tears. I can do OK with just that song. But a the sign-off it breaks me. This album was special that these 5 period chose to share their emotions with us. John and Mick are the backbone that keeps it together. Thank you for listening to a piece of musical history with us.

Great choice. I was surprised not to hear "Songbird" after "Go Your Own Way" - I cut my rug on this album the year it was released, so that song must've been added to a premium edition. No complaints - great song - just noting the awkwardness. Turns out, originally Gold Dust Woman was the final track, and Songbird was in the above location.

Amber, as others have stated, this is a great reaction from you for obvious reasons.

ETA: one thing that might be worth looking into. This group was originally a British heavy blues band. Peter Green, the original guitarist, formed the group after leaving John Mayall's Blues Breakers (which at one time included some punk hot shot guitar god named Eric Clapton in between his stint with the Yardbirds and Cream). Interestingly, he chose to name the group after the rhythm section of bassist John McVie and drummer Mick Fleetwood. This is despite the fact that McVie was still with the Bluesbreakers for a while before finally succumbing to Green's persuasion!

dfm855

The "original classic line-up" as I personally refer to it included Green (whom BB King stated was the only one who gave him the "cold sweats"-yes he was that good), Fleetwood, McVie, 2nd guitarist Jeremy Spencer and later a young 19 year old (?) third guitarist Danny Kirwan when they came out with their third album "Then Play On," featuring their most recognized song at the time, "Oh, Well" Part 1.

dfm855

Unfortunately, turmoil hit the band leading to multiple line-up changes in the early 1970s. Christine McVie (nee Christine Perfect-a former blues singer/keyboardist with Chicken Shack before marrying John) joined after Green left the band due to drug/mental health issues) among other later changes. Bob Welch was a key member during those transition years before he left which eventually led to Lindsey and Stevie joining the group in late 1974. This is what I personally refer to as the "second classic line-up."

As the weekend approaches I find myself going back thru the music, which is something I absolutely love… And I’m hoping for the Babyface Tiny Desk… I promise it won’t raise ur heart rate like the last one…. But there is a young man by the name of Avery Wilson whose voice is Out of this world.. plus tank does appear as the background singer… 😝😝🤣😂😂
