Howdy Patrons!

We’re back with Delta 2.0b5, and with it, Delta 2.0 is finally feature complete!

This beta is all about customization! Controller skins, button mappings, audio settings, and even the game screen position are all more customizable than ever, offering you more ways to play. Here's everything new in 2.0b5:

🕹️ Animated Controller Skins

Controller skins just got a lot more lively!

Experience playing with touch controls like never before with newly added support for animated controller skins. Delta now supports skins with animated button presses, making it feel like you're really using a controller. To show off what's possible, this beta includes a new animated GBA skin designed by our very own Caroline Moore ⭐️ Give it a try and let us know what you think!

🎮 Redesigned Input Mapping

Playing with a physical controller? We've completely redesigned the input mapping screen for game controllers and keyboards. Instead of jankily mapping buttons directly on a skin, you now map them from a standard list view, as you would probably expect from other gaming input mapping screens. Setting up your button mappings is now clearer and quicker than ever.

📱 Adjustable Screen Position

We know many of you have been frustrated with Delta when it comes to playing with controllers that sit over your screen, like the 8BitDo FlipPad. No more! Now, with any controller connected, you can long-press the game screen to adjust its position and put it exactly where you want for the best viewing experience.

🎧 Audio Settings

Finally, for how Delta sounds. We've added new audio settings that let you decide how Delta handles other apps' audio. "Mix with Other Audio" keeps your music or podcasts playing while you play games in Delta. Prefer full immersion? "Pause Other Audio" silences everything else the moment a game starts. And if you'd rather hear only your music or podcast, just flip on silent mode. However you like to play, Delta has you covered.

🛠️ QoL Updates

This beta also includes a bunch of other small improvements. Custom Fast Forward and RetroAchievements have been graduated from Experimental Features, and Online Multiplayer has moved from Nintendo DS core settings to top-level settings where it belongs. We've also added the ability to delete save states in bulk, added an option to move the Home and Resume buttons to the top of the Pause Menu, and Delta now automatically syncs your favorites between devices.

We're hard at work on the RC already and can't wait for everyone to try 2.0. As always, please let us know if you have any feedback!

Best,

Riley + Shane

Hey. Unrelated to this, can you add some desired features for AltStore classic beta please? 1) can you add the option of "choose app extensions" & "main profile" during installation of sideloaded apps? Sideloading under 'main profile' allows more apps to be sideloaded as it does not use additional AppID slots. Currently using Lara for 3-app bypass to sideload more than 3 apps. See below link for further info: https://github.com/nab138/iloader/issues/460 These features are implemented in SideStore. 2) now that iOS 27 allows on-device generating pairing file (via StikPair) can you add the option in settings to import pairing file manually? This would allow true on-device installation and setup of altstore classic (via Altstore PAL) without ever having to connect to a computer. See below link for further info: https://github.com/StephenDev0/StikPair

This is awesome! I have a question, I don't know if they have already told you before but I was wondering if at some point they would add compatibility with the mouse (SNES) for games like Mario Paint, Wolfenstein, etc. This project and AltStore are the best!

A wish for you guys to add a CRT filter to play classic games like they were meant to.

How long does it typically take for the new version to show up in Apple TestFlight? I’m still seeing v2.0.3 (build 160).

Is there a way to trade between games? I downloaded Delta off the App Store so I could replay old Pokémon games. With the original DS, you could transfer Pokémon from a gameboy game to a DS game. Is there a way to do that with games downloaded on the app?
