Maybe it happened to you, too....
Yesterday morning, both my sister, Mandy, and partner, Hannah, woke up to quite the fright- a forced iOS update ☠️☠️. Immediately, I heard "that liquid glass thing happened!" from Hannah and "everything is rounded now, why is that necessary?" from Mandy.

Ah, the perfect time to get on my Android supority soapbox! The irony, though, is that I am currently working on a video about a photo app that completely and totally stole my heart this year, and it happens to be an iOS-exclusive. Any Dazz Cam users in the house?
Sigh, you really can't have it all.
In other news, I bought and got in two new (to me) cameras this week: a Kodak Snapic A1 and a Ricoh GR III HDF. The first I bought outright because I clearly have no self-control when it comes to point-and-shoot 35mm cameras, and the latter came from a fan of the channel who saw my Ricoh GR IV video and offered to sell me her III for quite the discount <3.
Two great cameras to play with over the holiday break! What will you be playing with??
📖 What I read this week:
Donald Trump confuses 6G with 8K“What does [6G] do? Give you a little bit deeper view into somebody’s skin?”
Oura users report smoking, overheating ringsThere is a ring of fire joke in here somewhere.
Pebble Is Making a Smart Ring for Saving All Your Fleeting ThoughtsFires aside, should smart rings have mics?
📺 What I watched:
What a $117,400 DJI lidar sensor sees
What Are You Worried About? (Hotline 83)The whole show is worth tuning to, but Noah's take, starting at 12:56, on why we take photos, hit hard for me. To quote him:
"But I feel like photos used to be made so you could remember, as a kid, with your grandparents, something like that. But now I feel like we take photos so we don't forget. Like we we don't really live in the moment. There's like proof of an experience rather than a moment that you actually had".
World of Red Bull: Backcountry Skiing | Apple Vision ProI cannot even begin to imagine skiing down a mountain holding a $33,000 camera.

🎶 What I listened to:
Hannah and I tuned in to the HBO docu-series "Nuclear Family," where I heard Betty Wright's "Shoorah!" Shoorah! (what a JAM) and Burl Ives' Buckeye Jim. And although those are two very different songs, they have been in endless rotation ever since.
Otherwise, it was a pretty slow music week for me, so please pass along what you've been spinning?
Alright, bud, that is all I have for ya. I hope you have a killer weekend ahead! As always, I appreciate the hell outta ya <3-becca
