My reaction to Buffy Season 7 Episode 1 "Lessons".

WELCOME BACK TO THE HELLMOUTH — Dawn starts school at the newly rebuilt Sunnydale High, while Buffy patrols the new campus on the look out for anything out of the ordinary — and for good reason. Dead people hunt Dawn and Buffy, Spike reappears, and there's a new principal at school. In England, Giles helps Willow to learn to control her power and begin to forgive herself for her actions in Sunnydale.

Fun fact that even I only learnt about recently. Bangers and mash is sausages and mashed potato. Very scrummy comfort dish for the winter, especially when paired with onion gravy. The fun fact is the name comes from how sausages were made previously caused them to pop or “bang” whilst cooking. So you’d have a plate of bangers

The scenes in England with Giles were shot at ASH's property, Tilly Farm in Somerset. It's also an animal rescue sanctuary. One of the horses in that scene was also one of the rescue horses, named Otto. http://www.tilleyfarm.org.uk/about-us.shtml

I have to say as well, that from my own experience, the scene with Giles and Willow under the tree is the most accurate depiction of Wicca in the entire show. That's not hyperbole either, they seriously might as well have just filmed one of my early lessons with my first mentor back in 1988. There is a lot about season 7 I don't like, but the Giles and Willow scene at the start is definitely not one of them.

I’m glad you mentioned Spike’s true intentions, a lot of fans are split.. ever since I first watched I’ve always read it as Spike wanting his soul the entire time and his dialogue just being a misdirect for the audience, but I understand why people might take it more literally

The new principal is from Lucifer, he played the brother. You knew him first as Blue from the Temptations mini series lol, went to get the ribs out the kitchen and never came back 🥲😂😂

I get chills every time I watch the end scene with the past villains. So awesome that they got all those actors back.

Giles as Dumbledore would be perfect. Too late HBO... Hopefully John Lithgow will do well. It's just he's a bit long in the tooth and it's a 10 year show. I'd hate to repeat things.
