I wasn't feeling the kissing scene at the end. It felt forced and Unnecessary, Rhaenyra's trusted Mysaria way too quickly. Also the writers decision to not kill Laenor like in the books has proven to be another unneeded change, it's only caused confusion in the dragon riders lore. The showrunner and writers needed to have Daemon and Rhaenyra get married but she was already we'd to Laenor so instead of just conspiring to assassinate him they go with the convoluted plan they showed. For whatever reason Rhaenyra can't be seen as doing anything problematic, she's lost her edge from the books.

How much better would it have been if they had taken out the Daemon mom pussy eating scene and showed the Blackwoods stealing the Brackens wives and children seeing this plan go horribly wrong in real time watching the Blackwoods going too far setting the realm to the torch and killing the peasants under Daemon's orders waving Rhaenyra's banners while doing it. This series as a whole has entirely too much telling and not enough showing. I'm perfectly Find with a talkie episode. But i'm hearing about a lot of battles playing out and not seeing any of them.

I think they said Dragon fire is hotter than regular fire, it melts iron and steel almost immediately, can't be put out with just water. Targaryens are really fire resistant, if not fireproof, but that guy was a super distant relative so his blood was "thin". He was a deadman the moment that fire touched him. That's just what I think tho lol

If I had to compare this season to a movie, It'd probably be the 2014 godzilla. it took awhile to get going, and Instead of showing godzilla tearing shit up it would cut to humans doing shit and taking about watching the shit happening.

I have no issue w/ Rhaenyra being bi. It’s just weird how easily she’s trusting Mysaria who has been established to grasp power wherever she can find it. Exactly fucking right!!! The Rhaenyra actor Emma D'arcy Suggested the kissing scene you could've just said no it wasn't earned. Even back when Mysaria was a prisoner and Rhaenyra just let her go I was furious and confused she knows Mysaria had a hand in Aegon being crowned king and she helped with blood and cheese why release her?! She's a clear and present danger to Rhaenyra's authority. I just feel like she doesn't have agency and the writing has bent over backwards to portray Rhaenyra only in a completely positive light.

Some theories about Seasmoke if you believe in the Valyrian rules. Laenor is dead somewhere on the continent, freeing Seasmoke up for a new rider. It would explain why Seasmoke has been acting differently lately. Laenor may be still alive, but Seasmoke is sensing the Velaryon blood in Adam, and whatever the magical bond may be, is confusing it with Laenor.

Vermithor & Silverwing both had Riders, Rheanyras great great- grandfather & mother but they haven’t been ridden In like 30 -40 years I think the older the dragons get after losing their rider they become less attached to their old riders, when Vhagar lost Laena she was mourning but wasn’t seen flying around restless but still accepted Aemond, Vhagar is 170 years old at that point and had previous riders before Laena, seasmoke is a much younger dragon being around 35 years old that explains why he wanted a new rider.

Yeah but everyone knew Rhaenyra's claim to the throne would be challenged, because it was against tradition. We can blame Otto and Alicent, but I believe it was already stated early on in Season 1 that the Realm would split in half, half supporting and half against Rhaenyra no matter what. Adding to the fact that Rhaenyra only wanted to be named Heir because of petty reasons like "proving them wrong" and because she wanted attention from her Dad, Viserys.. like Rhaenyra was named Heir due to petty and selfish reasons. So it is fair to blame Rhaenyra for plunging the Realm into War. But anyways, my main reason for pointing out Rhaenyra's negatives is because they tend to think Rhaenyra is Miss Perfect, especially Sheera... when there actually are many flaws that they show and hint at, in the show.. but it seems to go above their heads.. and then they find ways to crap on the MUCH MORE interesting Green Characters.. even unfairly, like how they are clowning Aemond for no reason right now. Sheera complained about Aegon being WAY worse than Rhaenyra.. which is true, Aegon is NOT fit to Rule... so Aemond replaced Aegon. But now Sheera and Lupa (Even Roshi siding with Aegon, saying he would have Aemond executed) are crapping on Aemond for replacing Aegon.. and finding every excuse to talk shit about him, lol.

Sheera the Dragons at Dragonstone arent forced to be in there. They leave and come as they please, Seasmoke has a habit of leaving dragonstone to go fly out, he literally leaves home, takes a lap around driftsmark his former home with Laenor(Rhaenys Son) then comes back. The other Dragons Silverwing and Vorm had bonds before but they are like Generations ago bonds. Also the Dragons all have human like unique personalities, if you watch the Dragons each character has has personality traits that mimic their rider.

i think the "this one stopped singing" prediction applies to Seasmoke. There were three crickets (i think) in cages in that scene, similar to the three riderless dragons under dragonstone. Seasmoke stops singing/yearning for a bond because he finds a new rider.

I think it's pretty clear that Laenor died around the same time Seasmoke started getting restless this season. He got 5-10 extra years in the free cities or wherever, but he's for sure dead now.

i really resent how quick people are to judge alicent’s parenting… especially when they give viserys a pass. alicent was still a child (15) when she had aegon and only 20 years old when she had her last son, and she basically had to raise her children alone because viserys was a useless parent who only loved and cared for rhaenyra. when alicent saw how viserys, her children’s father, ignored aemond’s eye mutilation and tried to resolve the issue with “they’re just kids” otto’s words about rhaenyra wanting to kill her children cemented in her brain. it’s no wonder her only child raised outside of the red keep is kind and well-adjusted. he didn’t grow up in such hostile environment. could alicent have been more loving to her children? absolutely! but she never experienced that from her father either so she doesn’t know how to be loving. you can even see how otto’s parenting was passed down to alicent in tbe back-to-back scenes of ep2 when otto ignored her when she needed comfort and alicent ignored aegon when he was crying. alicent did her best in an environment where her own father filled her head with fears of her children being in danger and viserys constantly cemented them. alicent is a very pitiful character

It really feels like ur putting all the problems of the realm on rhaenyra just because shes a woman. Everyone hates women, so its rhaenyra fault for even existing. No one wants a woman as a leader, so rhaenyra is to blame for the civil war. The people are starving, noooo not because the people on the throne stole the throne from the rightful heir, but because rhaenyra is a woman. Rhaenyra had petty reasons for the throne? Her FATHER had petty reasons for the throne? But alicent, otto, aegon, aemond, deamon, etc didnt? Id argue that these people had bigger petty reasons. This whole episode literally was about how its actually good to NOT want the throne.....All the problems in the world is only womans fault? "Its females fault that i cant get any bitches...."

I mean they started the war 🤷🏾‍♀️. She did the blockade to weaken the greens. And sending food was smart cause it seems like the smallfolks minds are easily changed. Even if she did block it, it's still up to the king and the council to find a way to help them, they are the leaders of the city. That should be one of the things they should be discussing is how to feed them but they only brought it up when the smallfolks started getting too rowdy. You see aemond barley seemed to care.

Yeah, I think the show is just doing a bad job showing the planning and plotting. They been wasting screen time showing Daemon wandering around in his nightmares every single episode. I will say though, that I do not believe that Aemond is not concerned about the people starving, or that he is not trying to help them. I believe the show is just doing a bad job with it, they should have showed if there was a way to help the smallfolk with food, or if it was really impossible to give them food without breaking through Rhaenyra's blockade.

It doesn’t make sense for Aemond to intentionally not care about the people in his own city to be starving though….. They have shown him to be smart/strategic, like cutting down the rat catcher bodies during his first meeting as Prince Regent. Like Aemond is shown to be smart many times in the show, in an early episode he saw the coins on the floor and figured out that he was the original target for the assassination. Aemond also helped/made the plan to set up a trap to kill Rhaenys, etc. So NO it doesn’t make sense for Aemond to seem like he didn’t care about the people in his own city starving and risking an outright rebellion... The show is just doing a terrible job. and giving the food that is for the Dragons.. to the smallfolk is fkn stupid, like I already said.

Love the show, I think all the actors are doing a great job. But having read the books and seeing how much of a "softie" they've made Rhaenyra into is a bit disappointing. No spoilers but in the books she's on DEMON TIME, Daemon as well... My boy Dalton is finally mentioned and Aemond is finally becoming who he's meant to be, time for the rest of the characters to catch up!! xD

Daemon and Jace are carrying Team Black for me. Rhaenyra is extremely bland, never did I think I would ever root for Aegon, but hell, i've found myself switching sides for a moment when he is on screen.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this in the comments, but Seasmoke was Leanor's dragon...who is Adams half-brother. I think Seasmoke caught his scent and maybe was why he chose Adam. Adam probably feel's/smells a lot like Leanor to dragon senses, which may or may not have had some influence on what happened.
