Maybe they removed the part of the footage that he jumped into at the station and placed it on the phone? So the exact section of the video he jumped into is now a file on the phone and not a part of the files on the station computer/system? Because season 1 he came back in the photo room and not the usual couch area with Lu Guang, and I assumed he had Lu Guang put the photo he jumped in into the photo room when he told Lu Guang the plan so he’d be in the photo room when he came back.

Yeah as someone else pointed out, at the end of episode 10 before Cheng "reappears" in the car you can see the detective looking at the footage Cheng jumped in, but on his phone. He entered that fragment of footage that was on the computer at the station. Then I guess the detective sent that fragment to his phone and shut down the computer (?)

Cheng took a picture in the car not the station. The station scenes was just to show that Cheng can go into a present photo and not have a body double situation. Its cool that if he jumps into a photo close enough to the present he can have a free teleportation out of most situations though it can only be used once.

Not sure if I was alone here, but I always thought that the cheating and killing was a misdirect the first time I watched it. He in every single time he has been shown on screen up until now has been nothing but a manipulative scumbag even when he seemed "righteous". It's basically felt like implicit if you paid attention that he has never listened to anyone else seriously, and has only done things to his own beliefs/benefit while lying to scheme later. He is a Purely Evil Villain, which is also 1 of a few compelling types of villains, as you always want to hate him at the end. The Li twins are another type, the Sympathetic Villain.

I feel like one of the added bonuses of running such a super popular reaction channel is how you're able to highlight awesome shows for people who were sleeping on them. I'm really happy that Roshi loved this show, but I'm also really happy to know that their Link Click journey has exposed the show to a new audience. I dont think official season 3, it's more of a separate "season" (idk what to call it...oop) of when they were on vacation. I guess prequel? The official season 3 comes out next year and continues the timeline of the end of this season
