I understand part of what you're saying, but if the show doesn't present itself to kill off characters earlier within the series, then what the hell do you expect? It's important to understand and think of what comes after killing off characters. What exactly does it accomplice? Why? Does this character not need further growth? It's much more than just "not feeling any stakes" from a narrative perspective WHY?

@Ron H That may be true, but it's much better to play it safe and keep characters around than losing them if the story DOESN'T need to lose them. I love JJK but even I have my issues with it when it comes to that specific issue. Every shounen has blatant plot armor, however deciding not to kill off characters it simply doesn't need to doesn't harm MHA and what it has going.

Yeah shigaraki, All for one and the villains taking over the world if they lose isnt much of a stake to me either. The heroes definitely aren’t fighting for anything because they’ll most likely live. Best Jeanist sowing Bakugos heart and edgeshot becoming bakugos heart was super predictable. As well as bakugo using his sweat from his entire body to move at super speeds. And Deku fighting in an out of control blind rage would have definitely been better than a calm, focused, and calculated Deku who’s in complete control. You said to tear you apart but I prefer to chop you to pieces

@Aniki Pft I'm with you. MHA has such unique and precise character writing that you cannot kill off any character recklessly because none of them can be replaced in slot. Think about it, no one can replace Yaomomo or Shoj for examplei and they're side characters AF. Their roles in fights, the special bonds they've crafted. I do agree there could be more deaths here, but I also prefer a series where each character has their own way of affecting the plot simply by being who they are compared to series that think violence automatically creates emotional stakes.

Deku losing his cool with Monoma and Shinso, Iida and Stain, Allmight losing his stomach, Endeavor losing his stomach. He’s hitting as hard as his current body would allow at 100 percent. But the way he gets access to higher percentage is by making his overall body stronger, so it stands to reason that if he could get strong enough to wield 100 percent without any outside assistance, he’d probably be able to punch harder with that 100%. Also another thing to keep in mind is that his still a teenager, he could still have some growing to do. Maybe not much but some. Also, we don’t exactly know if OFA is just a set amount of power when attacking, or if it acts as a multiplier with the base strength. If it’s a multiplier then being able to use 100% naturally would be more beneficial. Last thing I just realized. I think that if he only concentrated the energy in his arm like he originally did, his punches would be stronger, that’s how All Might used the United States of Smash. Full Cowling seems to be for easing the burden on his body.

But the thing that got me into MHA is i was told (season 3 was out already) that the main villain had a power where anything he touched literally dissintigrated. And after playing Maghic the gathering for years and utterly HATING black decks for their endless Death touch metas i had always ranted about how ONE person with death touch in a fight is busted. You cant lose. SO when i heard about shigaraki i was like LETTSS fucking see how this goes.
