Haryu the Badminton Badmon

Comments

Sixaxis112

Haryu is my favorite character in this series by far.

CuteAdorableDog

the best friend's role comes in season 2 when best girl gets introduced

bleach

Haryu is such a good character and a good rival to Taiki

dexota

i thought blue box was only thursdays, where did they watch it that early

Michael McPhee

haryu the GOAT, best character is here in full force

Keondodge

Nah keep that blue "animation lock" roasts coming but cmawn mahn leave badminton alone. That was crazy but true thing to say. But it really sucks cause it feels like they took all the animation effort from blue lock. I'm just hoping they don't start at least drastically slowing down in later eps.

DsWorldd •

Badminton is actually on the higher end of difficult sports, every single athlete ever has said the hardest sport they ever played was badminton.

Krype

Hmm, Taiki is a little annoying or self-conscious at first when it comes to her, which is kind of understandable.

juzism

im i the only one confused on how they are watching episode 3, because episode 2 only came out last Thursday and episode 3 is coming ouy this Thursday

TChang23

Hoping for a your lie in April trio reaction someday 🙏🏻

Gilthwixt

Haryu is such a good dude. Can't help but love the way he trolls and mentors Taiki at the same time.

Earphone Jack

How did y’all get episode 3 early? For me, it doesn’t come out until Thursday.

Chidi Nworie

How do they have access to episode 3 already?

Cheesecake

everyone asking how they got this ep early meanwhile I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is the blue box

Nuke XD

ngl his friend the glasses dude that I dont even know the name is my favorite character in this show, he is just there lmao, also rly liking this Haryu guy.

CMBR

Bro the way they're animating the sports section of the show has me convinced of something. Yo I think higher ups sent significant funding to the wrong show they probably mixed up the name of the shows since both start with Blue. What other explanation is there😭

Just use a VPN and switch to Japanese Netflix. Its there and has the English subs already.

Devin B
>>152436299

Lol this is usually the case for lesser known shows, out of nowhere you'll see dope animation

James Moss
>>152434048

It’s out on Netflix. You just have to use a VPN since it’s only available in Japan.

Sekraan
>>152431990

It's certainly the most physically exhausting of the racquet sports. I played all of them growing up and badminton was the most taxing.

Sekraan

Netflix Japan is airing a week earlier than other regions for some reason.

D'Janae W

is Horimiya getting a double upload on Friday?!

Asher Ealey

20:46 roshi looking at lupa like “first time huh?”. Lupa is new to romance anime. He don’t know how long you gotta wait for characters to actually get together😂

Ukaede

"At least we got one Blue show with animation this season".... Boy that sent me off to the ground unc, don't do that again ICANT

YaBoyRoshi
>>152438569

Hey! Peep the schedule a few posts down 🙂 Horimiya is on Thursday and Friday this week!

Denickart

Why are there so many blue anime this season anyways? We got Blue Lock, Blue Box, Blue Exorcist, and Blue Miburo.

Severus Alaerth
>>152436299

Calling Blue Box a lesser known show is craaaaazy, it's been one of the most anticipated adaptations ever since it's announcement because the manga is one of the most popular Jump titles currently serializing. Not just that, but getting HigeDan and Eve as OP and ED artists is a massive feat.

Ara Araragi
>>152441324

A lot of anime focus on younger characters/youth. The color blue symbolizes youth in Japan, so you get a lot of shows with "blue" in the title. The word for youth (seishun, 青春) is written with the characters for "blue" (ao, 青) and "spring" (haru, 春).

Severus Alaerth

Lupa it's only ep3 ain't nothing's gonna happen yet lmao that's how they pull you in hehe

Liliana

Haryu's my goat. He's so fun

Lea Garrido

Looooove Haryu's character! Can't wait to see how much he motivates Taiki! He definitely respects him as a player, he saw the potential (something tells me he may have even put in a good word with coach on wanting to do doubles with Taiki)

Nico

Haryu might just be the best character in the entire series and you'll see why

A. P.

Yooo the excitement I felt seeing this had been uploaded followed by the immediate disappointment when I opened netflix and saw "episode 3 available on Thursday" lol y Netflix no simulcast 🥲

Luciaron

need just a happy vibes show like this more and more these days. too many just get depressing or bitter sweet at best

MGC

His homie Kyo is easily my fav character in the series

원 지

I'm glad that lupa seems to be enjoying the romance genre !! keep going

AP STP

Holup how did yall watch the episode early when it's not out yet?

elijah lew

Just a side thing I've noticed but this show I think has partners with actual sports brands like Yonex, Mizuno, Umbro etc. and it's so funny how often they show it off on their jackets and most of all on their shoes LOL u can count how many times this show has the camera showing their super detailed shoes but it's cool tho

netflix japan is 1 week ahead of us so most likely 🏴‍☠️ or vpn if netflix japan has eng sub

Bryan .Manica

I haven’t a read manga in general ina bit but I just got caught up with blue box so worth it

earthphoenix7068

Roshi thinks Badminton is all peaches and cream. It ain’t called Goodminton for a reason.

Offw0rlder

Lupa’s perfect for these rom coms 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love his reactions to lame mc shenanigans Bro was doing a lot just to avoid embarrassment

Christina

yall next romcom GOTTA be fruits basket 2019, its got romance, comedy, drama, and a unique storyline. it's so good Grammarly is tryna spell correct me and make sure the F and B are capitalized lol

Rene Sanchez

Another romance to add to the list is Kimi no Todoke, "From Me To You." the animation is pretty bad ngl, but it has its own charm to it and they made it work. And the show is super wholesome. I think you'll love it

Benji

another romance to react is lovely complex! its is a peak romance anime/manga that still this day i love!

Kareem Davis

Roshi really threw in that comment on animation at the end lol! We still got ReZero tho!

King of New York

I am LOVING this show. 3 episodes in and I'm not sure what types of themes this show is going to have but man, crazy how sports and romance can go so well together.

King of New York
>>152438720

😭💀 Same with whenever they show the fucking blue lock building and Lupa is like "Is that the real blue box????"

King of New York
>>152436299

Yeah Blue Box was one of the best selling manga for the last couple years and was one of the most anticipated for the fall. But I think it's fair to say it's lesser known than Blue Lock. Blue Lock already had an anime 2 years ago and was the #1 best selling manga of 2023. I'm so happy that the CGI for the badminton in this show looks great

Long Enough

Hanebado? Anybody? (badminton anime)

Kiril Malakhov

Man ya'll should just watch Kuroko no basket! Saying they don't have to animate auras and crazy shit in a sports anime - say that after you watch kuroko no basket with the same energy please :D

Gordy
>>152532179

i’ve been recommending fruits basket 2019 as a duo for like everrr 😭😭😭 praying my wish come true soon

cmike1204

Gonna have to second bro on Kuroko No Basket, if you like ball at all its like the #1 , no cap.

Tro

In case anyone wasn't paying attention the 2nd Taiki lost to Haryu but it was much closer. 21-15

Rishad GB

6:29 I have been watchin them for years and these lupa roshi question moments are the freakin GOAT

Rishad GB
>>152532179

Im pretty certain now that they gonna watch it at some point ....The anime is like a legendary classic at this point
