The wish thing has somewhat been established already in the broly movie cause cheelai only got one wish when she saved broly and in resurrection f freiza's men got three wishes only because pilaf was with them whos summoned shenron countless times

about the dragonball wishes i think they want to make it sense that in the broly movie they also only got one wish before the dragon disapeared and to be onest it where alway the same people that made the wishes exept for these 2 times so it could be valid

My only complaint is that they haven't given a reason why they can't go to Namek and use the dragon balls there to reverse the wish.

Didn’t get a chance to say this last time but in terms of hype, iconicity, cultural impact, inspiration and favoritism, nothing will ever surpass the 🐉DragonBall🐲 series. Literally grew up in the 90s and early 2000s right alongside it so I got to see it during it’s peak glory days, never experienced anything like that again even with removing nostalgia or bias, hopefully this is better than Super, and while I enjoyed GT, hopefully it’s even better than that. R.I.P to Animanga Legend Akira Toriyama. Here’s to the last project he’s ever worked on.🫡

Well they've only ever instant transmissioned to the new namek planet through goku so they dont even no where it is and goku probably cant use it to get their for kid reasons. Plus, even if they knew how, it took 6 days to get to the original planet so who knows how long it will take for the new one, so their first priority would be to get dende back rather than revert themselves

Popo isn't a problem, you're thinking of the abridged series. He was weaker than (edit: Piccolo the first time he fought Goku), he couldn't do anything against Degesu unless he's incredibly weaker than his brother. Even in filler the most he ever did was spar with Kid Trunks and Goten. And yes the three wishes were because Dende made it that way when he recreated the dragon balls.

Being a regular doesnt necesarily mean you have to be the one doing the wish, you could just have to be in shenrons presence to be considered one. For example, when the z fighters are making a wish their usually in a group and the ones not doing the wishes are considered regulars

Cheelai technically made 2 wishes. Save broly and teleport him back to his home planet. But even still if we want to count it as 1 wish, story wise they weren't think of shenron limitations it was the end of the movie and wrapping it up.

the dragonball wishes have been inconsistence in the show but shenron explanation helps it a bit, it was only 1 wish then dende powered it up to 2 witch made shenron have shorter cool downs if you only wished for 1 thing you wait 6 months, then later it was 3 but then in battle of gods its 1 wish and looking for the super dragon balls its 1 wish and in resurrection of f its 2 and in broly its 1 wish again

First off, shenron didn't need the strength to do wishes because he was bending to the will of the OG creator of the dragon balls who can do what he sees fit. Personally I don't see these "retcons" as a bad thing, if anything they've only improved upon the lore for the better. Its not bad writing when the creator of DB fixes up concepts that were shaky to begin with. After the mediocre adaptation of super and with this being the last project Toriyama created and approved of, of course dragon ball fans are going to be passionate about the series as they should.

i honestly think shenron gave them only 1 wish because he knows they are evil ppl and are up to no good. ppl tend to forget that shenron has a mind of his own and isn't just a wishing dragon. the way shenron got scared when he saw beerus in dbs proves that he has a conscious of his own.

Dende is the reason shenron was capable of doing more wishes lol. Shenron was never capable of doing so. That literally debunks your first statement, that was the importance of dende becoming the new guardian. Dende had to convert power to make a stronger version of shenron to include more wishes. There was nothing shakey about the DB usage. Shenron wishes being granted are based on the strength of the Dragon. That's why Porunga can perform wishes that Shenron is not capable of. Toriyama is a Goat but even his writing is dodgey and that's okay to admit he forgets stuff and just tries to write around it.

Dende made it 3 wishes like namek DBs back in the cell saga. Shenron depending on the wish uses more power which takes away an additional wish. Cell saga them wishing all life on earth back took up 2 of the 3. Sometimes they just send Shenron off cause he doesn't have to perform all 3 at once. Which is why it looks super inconsistent.

I know that but any rules and limitations attached to shenron go out the window when it comes to Neva. Just like Dende cant summon the dragon balls again right after use. Since Neva is the original creator of the dragon balls and knows everything about them he can bypass past restrictions meaning Shenron's strength doesnt play a factor in making wishes.

It really isn't that hard to put two and two together and just assume that Deva used his own strength to restore the wishes. He even says that he couldn't do it twice in a row, which could imply this as well. You're also speaking about this as if it's some major plot hole, the reason DB fans are eating it up regardless is because for the most part it doesn't matter whatsoever, no need to complain or riot over it

Roshi, Popo never progressed past OG Dragonball, meaning he wouldn't even stand a chance against a character like Raditz. Hell, King Piccolo could likely one shot him. He is now a little kid on top of that, tf is he gonna do to a Kai and the Demon King

There was a time limit on how often you can enter it iirc. I believe it was twice/48 hours, and if you went in any longer you were either permanently locked in, or the place only generated two years' worth of food for two people. Edit: just read up on it and those limitations were removed in Super.

Also, I see 2 theories: 1 that the Dragon Fighters/Earth's Protectors helped revive the Dragon Balls, thus the "exclusive 3 wishes" nonsense. 2 that the Dragon Balls, like you guys mentioned, didn't get enough time to recharge their energy, thus only can only grant one wish (which would've been a better explanation than the first theory)... When I first watched the intro, I felt like I was watching the OG DB series, especially given with Toriyama passing away earlier this year, it hits harder to me....

Nah this is bullshit. Dende is technically older than Picollo so he shouldn't be a baby and Buu as far as I understand was created into full adulthood so his child form of a 1st grader is still full grown. Also the whole staff and every human on earth who gave Goku energy for the spirit bomb technically helped fight Buu so they should all be kids also unless they didn't give energy.

Alot of inconsistency in the series so far. As far as I understand Buu was never a child just born into the world full grown. Dende is older than Picollo because Picollo is technically Picollo Jr. and not the original Demon King Picollo yet Dende was turned into a baby and Picollo a 1st grader. Also the people of earth were involved in the fight with Buu when they gave energy to the spirit ball yet they weren't affected by the wish somehow.

I made a comment earlier because I thought I saw Android 18 as a child, because I saw a blonde child, but when later on they didn't show Android 18, I decided maybe I saw wrong and changed my comment to mention Master Roshi instead. But, if I did actually see Android 18 earlier and wasn't seeing wrong, I had no idea she was a cyborg?! I thought she just had some sort of incubation chamber inside of her to allow her to have given birth to Krillin's child. Now I know that her name doesn't mean she's actually an android. Dende is the same age as gohan and piccolo is 4 years older than gohan. Physically both gohan and piccolo are a year older due to the time chamber so physically piccolo should be 5 years older than dende.
