Retro Saturn 20

Subarus reaction to that dragon is PRICELESS

BZD

Subaru really said. “Shut your mouth you squeaky ass Dragon.”

BZD

Subaru gonna try and take on a Dragon with just a whip and an invisible hand that is only slightly longer and stronger than normal.

Krype

This pull up is the craziest I have ever seen so far Shibuya doesn't even compare to how I feel about this.

Mrlanie

emilia passed out and woke up at a diddy party 💀

Jamie

When will from start?

kale k

It'd be crazy if that female cultist was wilhlems wife

BiggestOttoFan

I'm looking at Al a little sideways because everyone else was just talking about "the witch's remains" because they didn't know which one drowned. But Al immediately knew it was Typhon. And then he threw in that little comment about how Gluttony might be here and how to counter his power. We gotta see more of this guy

hills

subaru really is like “ama cook with just this escape rope and a shadow sneak”

Orendi

notice that Gluttony refers to themselves as "we," and "us," and stated his name was "Roy Alphard". The other Gluttony referred to themselves as "Lye Batenkaitos". there are two "gluttonies." the one subaru saw is NOT the one that ate Rem's memories/name, but he has never seen Lye before, so he assumed Roy was the one. the fact that Roy doesn't recognize subaru is proof that he had nothing to do with Rem.

BZD

And now there are two gluttony’s. I’m guessing just like how there are three great mabeasts there may be three gluttony’s. The whale, the snake, and the bunny. And Subaru has encountered the whale and the bunny. And now we’ve been shown two Gluttony’s, so I’m just guessing based on the rule of threes. Edit: wrote snake but meant whale.

Nick

So, I am sure a million other people will say it. But when we saw Gluttony last episode they stated that their name was Lye but this time it is Roy. Do with that what you will

Jay

wait al is japanese? is that why he calls subaru brother?! does subaru know or that a spolier? seems like a big thing to cut out. its also nice seeing how everyone holds subaru in high regards. i wonder how many times hes going to die to succeed. it feels very hard battles ahead

Oscar Barcelo

Subaru has come such a long way, notice how uneasy everyone felt at the meeting when they asked subura if he was going to prioritize Emilia first. Even though most of those knights there would have choose their masters first as stated by Julius and shown by Al’s action by leaving to another party. They have such trust in him and they see leadership skills from him.

Anorak

Cut content lol, Subaru knows

Fuji

nah they aint lackeys they are whole problems

Cleo Kujo

I started S1 am I in for a ride chat cause the first two episodes or 4 technically has me locked in!!

DcT

he told subaru in s1 but was cut i believe

Re_Slayer

I think the person that hurt Mimi is killing magic. When they first saw Mimi's injury they said that it was from the Divine blessing of the death God. That same person who gave her that injury is also the person attacking all the magic and it's disappearing. At first I thought they were just strong or swiping it away but after watching the episode with y'all it made me think nah they're definitely killing the magic attacks.

Re_Slayer

He hasn't it was in a flashback from Emilia POV

Friendly Elites

So Typhon, the witch of pride, is the one that was trapped and drowned in the city. This means that Echidna lied to Subaru in season 2 that the witch of Envy killed all the other witches because we know the entire city was constructed just to kill Typhon. I mean we know Echidna was a villain but manipulating that information to Subaru just to hurt Satella has to mean something.

Ellijah Brown

Subaru never met it. Just Emilia. Back during Emilia's trial w/ Mother Fortuna and Petelguese. The Black Serpent pulled up and started killing the elves, including Archie (Emilia's uncle). It also shows up in the movie when Emilia is freed from the ice and meets Puck. I'm pretty sure Emilia fought it off when that strong fire spirit pulled up

Zekken

The warning about not telling gluttony your name makes sense bc in season 2, they say that he is able to eat your memories(which is what happened to crusch) and your name(which makes everyone forget who you are, essentially eating your existence) and if he eats both you become a husk like rem.

Nikabee

We saw the snake in Season 2 when it attacked Emilia's village. Subaru never met it

Fizzy 🐉

Yeah he really developed as a character and hash out his old bad habits

Denickart

Just because novel Subaru knows doesn't mean anime Subaru does. They'll probably reveal it later

Devin B

I also noticed that this time they had their hair braided up so I'm guessing they have a split personality thing going on and the hair differentiates what personality is in control

Nick

Good theory, I would recommend not reading other comments to avoid spoilers about what is true lol

AmpLvX

To my light novel readers when's AL gonna do the thing i forgot?

Zeklo

Cut content that is a spoiler. I don't think Subaru knows either since there have been spots where he would've mentioned it (like talking about the japanese architecture). The anime is bound to reveal it at some point, so it's unfortunately a spoiler.

BZD

Yeah. I meant whale not snake.

Persto

If I remember correctly from one of the previous comments it was revealed in the Light Novel earlier but nothing really came of it until much later, so people are thinking it'll just be revealed later and closer to when it'll actually matter. So not too big of a spoiler/reveal all things considered, but still woulda been nice to have been told in the anime.

Kd

Day 6 asking to watch Monster

LionBro

Can you guys watch The Blackening?

LiquidXGravity

Definitely the best Isekai I have ever seen and it's wild

Josh

Day 45 of my campaign for a Mr Robot reaction.

_monjiro

Bruh I thought about it, Kirishika's (Demon Empress from Mushoku Tensei) shares a voice with Sin Archbishop of Lust. This actress gotta be questioning what they got her playing...

Bona Fide

Lust aint sht omg lol her taunting is insane

Bona Fide
>>153199723

She did the Daki "huh" when she got blasted by Julius lol so hilarious when Tanjiro disappeared and Daki was confused. Lust's scream has me crying laughing bro lol

Kd

I’d dog you granny out boy

Franklin Saint

If you guys go back to the previous episode you will realize this ain’t the same gluttony this one had a different wardrobe and name the one in the previous episode is lye batenkaitos and from the the first episode of S2 when he took crush memorys and left ram as a shell and made everyone except for Subaru to forget about her this one introduced its self as Roy alphard

Bona Fide
>>153200816

I knew he looked different! thanks for pointing it out without spoilers

mitch anderson

Something to note. Gluttony keeps using pronouns like "we" and "us". He also gives a name in this episode than the name in episode 3.

Aniki Pft

Monster in the big 24 is crazy bro.

Hey Hey Me

I hear the Indiana Jones theme every time Subaru brings out the whip 😂

Franklin Saint

He got the baby oil and lubricants ready in the next room with his brand

Franklin Saint

Subaru did the “hold up let him cook” with Garfield

Papi Martini 🍸

They need to get Emilia out of Diddy’s mansion ASAP

Papi Martini 🍸

The reason Sirius’s fire didn’t burn Regulus is because he’s coated in baby oil

Papi Martini 🍸

The anime only watchers ain’t ready for the GOAT AL 🔥

Kd

It’s a hidden gem fam

Skebaba

No she doesn't WTF is bro yapping about??

NecDW4

Tanya's VA is killing it as Lust.

Skebaba

I mean Satella did yoink their Witch Factors for herself so...

Papi Martini 🍸

Regulus likes his wives like he likes his olive oil: extra virgin

Syuri

he also refers to himself as "we" in the subs

Daniel Huitron

oh hell nah, emilia better escape somehow asap.

ERRORCODE616

Oh interesting. So it's a different Gluttony. Or a part of a greater whole. I was interpreting it as either lying about his true name and disguising himself.

ERRORCODE616

I don't remember if they explained it when Subaru was getting patched up by Felix/Felis/Ferris, but he cast a spell on Subaru's leg that took away his sense of pain. So he can run on it, but it's doing damage. Also this makes two different Archbishops of Gluttony (Lye and Roy, dunno what their deal is yet), one Lust, one Wrath, and one Greed. I keep saying it, but I have no idea how they're gonna get out of this yet. It seems so hopeless. Logically, I know Subaru's gonna figure out some way, given his ties/destiny with the Witch of Envy. But I can't see him being able to save everyone this time. I hope he's able to take out Gluttony sooner rather than later and have Rem come to the rescue. We need the extra firepower. Also, given that small glimpse we saw of Reinhard, I hope he's not benched the whole damn arc.

James

Take note on how gluttony is speaking and the name he’s using, there’s more than one. The one that hurt rem isn’t the same as we see now, not that Subaru would know anyway since he wasn’t there when rem was clapped. Also if you don’t remember typhon, the witch they have remains of , she was the little green hair girl witch who cleaved and dismantled subaru last season in the tea party place. They cut some more content which will probably be explained next episode.

YaBoyFree

i dont think your meant to know about other dude from Japan, think it comes up later not to sure tho

ERRORCODE616

I didn't realize she (Aoi Yuki) also has a bunch of other familiar roles under her belt. She's Madoka from Madoka Magica, Hinazuki from Erased, Pascal from Nier: Automata, Genba from Elusive Samurai, and Maomao from Apothecary Diaries.

Ambridge

Novel readers seriously need to shut up about "cut content" that becomes spoilers later on. It's OBVIOUS later on in the novels that him being from "our world" will have a impact where it would be appropriate to integrate it back into the plotline. The anime has taken a different direction in some plots because Tappei the author himself is heavily involved in the production and even the plotline. he even switches things up all the time where he feels it's better. As far we know in the anime, Subaru doesn't know that either. There been absolutely not single sign of Subaru knowing AL is from earth nor Al giving any signs that he knows Subaru is from our world to ask yourself (how does he know?)

Amvdere

They are it was mentioned in previous arcs but the anime cut it out for some reason

Ambridge

Rem wouldn't be able to do shit man. Rem is like one of the weakest characters in Rezero in terms of fire power. She has other uses. Rem entire character from Arc 2-3, is just go in and die without any regard for her life. That's just her character before going to sleep lol

Ambridge

That's not true, if she yoinked their witch factors, then that means they wouldn't of had witch factors to begin with with the archbishops Satella also by the way, is not really the witch of Envy either. Since this is actual cut content and will never be mentioned again. Satella and the WOE are somewhat like Petelgeuse. The one in the tea party (S2 episode 13) was the real Satella, not the WOE version.

Ambridge

Subaru would have though, but he can't because if he tried to go to Emilia, then Regulus would be notified

Zay C.

Dont know if yall remember but they said the little girl green witch (who yall prolly dont remember ) drowned

Acen Yang

It's cuz if gluttony knows your name and claps you, you're gonna end up like Rem

codexpop Zx

im new here i love you guys keep it up

beelzebub

pretty sure i was actually mentioned in the anime but i forgot its been so long since i've seen season 1

Ambridge

Nah it wasn't mentioned in the anime he was. But the anime also hasn't even mentioned or alluded that both Subaru and Al know their both from another world given this season interaction, so novel readers saying "cut content" is now just being stupid and it's really "spoiler" In the "cut content" in Season 1, when Al and Priscilla pick up Subaru to go the royal meeting about the royal candidates being addressed and Subaru's "cringe moment" Al mentions that he knows Subaru is from "our world" and Al tells Subaru he also is from Japan and Priscilla was right there also knowing about AL being from our world but also discovering Subaru is from our world, however given Priscilla doesn't remember Subaru at all anyway, that plotline doesn't matter and given there been nothing alluding to Al and Subaru knowing each other that way and Priscilla not alluding to ANYTHING about Al being from our world. This is now going into spoilers, but "novel readers" pretend that it's just cut content when it's really a plotline that will be handled at a later time in the story and I know exactly where it will be but "novel readers" don't want their favorite reactors to wait that long and see if they will have some kind different reaction or some shit to Al.

killilu

man i really wanna make a prediction about who the lady was in that cultist duo but I'm lowkey a prophet so imma say it in the replies in case it's correct and ya assume I'm spoiling.

killilu

is she the body of Wilhelms wife? cause he kept hinting he had a history with that duo

Cameron Hall

I had like a thought at the back of my mind too. If it's true fuckers don't stay dead do they 😂

Greg Harrison

Yeah Roshi i think you should prob stop looking at comments. LN readers like to spoil stuff that would obviously get revealed later. Even if the show cut content, the show will bring it back when they need to, so the LN readers are just spoiling.

suzukiri

I think you guys should prob be careful with reading or repeating theories or "cut content" in the reaction because cut content was extremely likely to be cut for a reason to be integrated later . And for whatever reason Re Zero LN readers like to subtly spoil by posting "theories" as plots they already know or by discussing "cut" content that they already know is part of a plot later on. So really that's a spoiler tbh

suzukiri
>>153240408

Yeah it's really lame. It's why i try to stay out of comment sections with shows like this. And it's not their fault (Roshi and them) but It is unfortunate if they get caught and repeat it without knowing so hopefully they see this. Not trynna like be rude to them or anything

Franklin Saint

I don’t think it’s still a good idea for them to not read comments because they didn’t realize there was a new gluttony (an that’s ok nothing wrong with that though) I can understand why they told them the al cut content probably because they afraid the anime is not gonna reveal Al being isakai from Japan even though I think either by the end of this arc or future arcs they gonna reveal it

Franklin Saint
>>153240408

I feel like they nothing wrong with them saying some cut content like capella introduction as a dragon they changed her introduction this episode I totally get what you mean though they be slick sometimes for sure 💀😭

Amzee

Al is hiding something I swear. everyone is wondering which witch it is and he just casually drops Typhon's name (Which if you don't remember from season 2, is the witch of pride). I'm waiting for the Cilvanis style face reveal (it was Otto all along).

AmpLvX

Thank you brother

LiquidXGravity

Woah sounds a little racially motivated lol 😆

ILikeClannad

Yo guys, peak episode but I wanted to point out that (THIS ISNT A SPOILER) there are now two gluttonys,if you go back you will see they both introduce themselves with different names,so no Gluttony isnt a copy or same person, they are two different people.

Jamie

Need that Agatha ep7

milo

Roshi please stop reading LN comments 🙏 You’re spoiling it for me too 😭 I’m sure the anime adaptation will get to important stuff that’s been cut out, and the Al thing is probably something they’ll reveal at the right moment. I don’t read the LN but Al was one of my most anticipated characters to learn about.

The Endless

Then shouldn't they have adapted it the way it was meant to be told? By all technicality it ISNT a spoiler. Its cut content and its not as if You or Them know for certain that it will be included later so what would be the difference between now and waaaay later past when you "knew" they were gonna put it? Your not the only one watching the show or the reactors and can filter every piece of info so your favs can have a different kind of reaction. Two sides same coin

Johnny

Thats not even a spoiler you just forgot what her name was

Storm King

yeah I feel we should not have known that yet

LeFlaneur

Did the Dan Da Dan post disappear? Also in spooky related stuff, Agatha All Along latest episode was actually solid 🤨 will they keep up that level for the finale…

R-Jay

They posted episode 3 again by mistake

Mollywopper

Lupa barking during this sad ass scene I cant fuckin stand yall lmaooo

Mollywopper

That feeling early in new arcs where you, and the main characters, have no fucking clue whats going on or why is awesome. Love this show.

Champion Bescos

It’s an overwhelming sort of ‘this is impossible’ feeling, it’s kinda crazy.

Orendi

Al being from Japan is not a spoiler. in the light novel it was revealed in early arc 3 (season 1, the arc with betelgeuse). the reason the anime didn't adapt it was bc white fox made an oopsies and didn't expect r0 to do as well as it did. now, it's probably being put off so Al can have a better introduction. point is, you technically were supposed to know that already, if the anime followed events canonically.

Orendi
>>153240408

as a ln reader half of it is definitely ppl spoiling shit but there's also a large part of the fanbase that simply reaaaaally don't want people to misconstrue some things, especially when the r0 anime has a LOOOOOOT of cut content, and some of it can leave anime viewers very confused. the cut content i think you're referring to regarding Al was completely white fox just not thinking r0 would do as well as it did and the studio wanted to end the arc on a note that was very nice to end on rather than having the viewers go "wait what abt that one dude." however, I do think the fact that the reveal hasn't come yet in the anime means that the author has plans for the anime to make it a much better reveal because, admittedly, the original one was kiiinda ass😭

Silverhawk

Also gang, remember gluttony was the one who took crusch’s memory and rem’s essence or what have you from season 2. Explains why Subaru about to ultra crash out

Ambridge

Yes it is a spoiler and you novel reader should shut the fuck up already. Tappei is ALLOWED to adapt the anime however HE SEES it and the fact you act like he shouldn't be allowed to just makes you people really fucking ungrateful. "Your not the only one watching the show or the reactors and can filter every piece of info so your favs can have a different kind of reaction" This got to be the most RETARDED thing I have ever fucking seen. You retards seriously cannot have any self control of just allowing the fucking anime to be adapted the way it's being adapted. You people seriously should just stop acting like you have braincells at this point.

Ambridge

True, these people should shut the fuck up. I'm getting so sick n fucking tired of fellow novel readers trying so hard to fucking tell others about "cut content" when it's really just spoiling.

milo

Yeah but if his background is any relevant to the story, they'll eventually introduce it in a way that fits. Idk how they'll handle it, whether they'll give a flashback or introduce it in a emotional, shocking way. Now the gang will see that scene and be like, "Oh yeah we knew his background, the comments told us already." Doesn't that make it a spoiler?

LiquidXGravity

I'm just messing with this person cause they don't know if they are right or not lol 😂

Mad4Life

Lmao sorry Roshi but you'd def be one of them niggas who be the first ones to die in anime the way you always wanna bumrush overpowered enemies.

Dane

I'm thinking Lust treats her body like a Titan/shifter type.

artisticSarcasm

Why do I feel like that female swordsman is Wilhelm's reconstituted wife? Death god divine blessing??? Nah

lilllllllllil

Whenever Roshi talks about getting clapped in the comments, this is what he means lmao bro is getting cooked for that LN slip

Dud3 itsj3ff

This situation seems so hopeless!!! I do like how they arent relying on Subaru's return-by-death ability to much this season though. I'm super intrigued to see how they resolve all this without killing him 30 times like last season!

Hate

Spoil me man, make me more excited for him! Tell me!

Hate

What thing? Spoil me

Wallet
>>153240408

Your absolutely right, the original reveal of Al being from our world literally had no build up to it, it had served absolutely no purpose in Arc 3 or Arc 4 whats so ever. However there was one scene that did have meaning and that was his interaction with Rem and knowing Ram is alive. Calling Rem disgusting and saying "so thats what it is, makes me want to vomit" now that true cut content and something you wont ever know unless someone tells you. So Al being from our world = SPOILER Al calling I think it was Rem or Ram disgusting is cut content Same with like Satella being split personality, that's just pure cut content and wanted the viewers to put that piece together given the two different interactions you see of Satella.

Wild

Tbh the reason for the last 2 seasons was cause he depended on the power but thanks to envy telling him to trust in his own power and that return by death isn’t a power that was meant to be used but just there as a last second thing

Ambridge

That's not Roshi's fault. That's not any of Yoshi, Lupa or Sheera fault. IT's just sadly novel readers not wanting to care about how the anime is directing the Al plotline into a later part of the series. It's really just sad. They never asked for cut content and novel readers (I am one myself), they are just imposing their views of what the characters are so they can think their reactor is going to have some kind of super different perspective of his character. Despite I would bet my life on it, they never talked any other cut content regarding other characters like Satella, like Priscilla, Pandora, Puck etc.

Ambridge

He does that all the time though, it's obvious just nervous laughter he does to try and brighten up that nervousness.

Ambridge

I have a feeling how their going to handle it because in the novels, it was actually completely out of the blue, it actually didnt make much sense why Tappei had Al be revealed he was from earth in Arc 3 (Season 1 capital) because it didnt provide any plot relevance. It didn't even make Subaru think differently like him "not being special" being Isekai that some people I've seen cope and claim. He still thought he was special until episode 18 when those death loops smashed it into him he never was special to begin with. There is one cut content about Al but I won't say but it does have actually more plot relevance because it has to do with Rem and Ram and Rem and Ram in season 1 backstory is very much plot relevant. But they skipped it because they didn't know Season 1 going to be that popular for a 2nd, 3rd + seasons.

Darkwizard ;

Hey, this Wednesday they put a MAJOR reveal in Re: Zero break time (a series of 4 minutes slice of life episodes that happen off screen) if someone sees this I would highly recommend watching Re:Zero break time episode 5 along with the reaction

thatNEET_

8:47 Lupa, you idiot 😆

Orendi

well they ended up revealing it in a fucking break time episode😭 re:zero's biggest flaw (in its entirety) is that important details are often elaborated on or revealed in the quietest way. its like reiner telling eren he's the armored titan but every 5 seconds it's a random bombshell in some side story no one's heard of. that's why light novel readers try to let everyone know of cut content or side story shit; because no one knows when or how something will be revealed, ESPECIALLY across mediums. for example, in this case Al had been revealed to be from earth in the LN in arc 3, season 1. Now, he's been revealed to be from earth in the anime, BUT it was on a side story show called "Re:zero break time" that NOBODY would know about because crunchyroll doesn't even have the licensing to stream it. but everyone involved in the production of re:zero seems to want to fuck it over except for the animation studio white fox lmao. Now, even though we thought he'd get a better reveal in the anime, he was just revealed to be from earth in a side story show these three will never watch. this is why light novel readers point those things out.

Orendi

bro Al was just revealed in a fucking break time episode. we do care about how the anime progresses because it's our favorite story and want to see it succeed. however the majority of us are aware of how shit re:zero can be regarding reveals of things, specifically in the case of revealing a big plot point in a way no one would ever hear about. such as dropping that al is from earth in re:zero's side story show, re:zero break time. I'd also thought they were retconning his reveal, but apparently not. this just gives more reason for light novel readers to point things like that out, because they literally wouldn't know otherwise. that being said, I do hold out hope that since the people in charge of break time are different from the ones in charge of the official anime, i hope that Al's reveal in that BT episode isn't considered anime canon. We point these light novel things out specifically because kadokawa and possibly even tappei seem to think that only light novel/web novel fans watch re:zero. so we want people to know the things that they SHOULD KNOW by now, but don't because of cut content or things that just aren't explained well in an anime format. edit: lmao sorry bout that first part the reveal had me tight asl😭

milo

I think I saw people complain about the break time covering it. If it’s something we were expected to find out on our own, then it’s handled pretty shitty. I still think it was better to wait and see how production handled it rather than LN pointing it beforehand. That way the LN readers and anime watchers can both be disappointed or surprised together.

Niuwah

I've been thinking this for a while, but why does gluttony keep referring to himself as "we"? Also, they didn't notice that gluttony changed his name? Is there two because he changed hairstyles and clothes 🤔 This show confuses me so much but I'm sure they're gonna explain it soon. I'm hoping greed didn't get Emilia naked himself 😩 omg please let it have been a female servant. Then there's the fact that they mentioned Typhoon, that's the witch of pride I think? If I'm remembering correctly, but I don't know why they're trying to get her when none of them is the archbishop of pride.

Steve

well im a bit late, but just like Wrath owns all the words rage, Gluttony owns all the hunger "We" is just him personifying that part of the sin and the fact he consumes the "souls" of the people he eats

BSteppa

To Orendi: "We point these light novel things out specifically because kadokawa and possibly even tappei seem to think that only light novel/web novel fans watch re:zero. so we want people to know the things that they SHOULD KNOW by now, but don't because of cut content" Bro. Use your damn brain. Just because the content isn't being given exactly how it was in the LN doesn't mean that it will never be revealed. They could change up the reveal and make a whole new plotline with Al and it is now ruined for everyone watching because doofuses like you can't keep your mouth shut. What a half assed rationalization for MAJOR spoilers. and don't even tell me that they revealed it in break time because until today I didn't know wtf break time was and I'm assuming a majority of people watching don't/didn't either. They could still bring in this reveal in the main series and you people just ruined it for a ton of us including Roshi and crew. Grow up, you don't have to flex your knowledge just for the sake of it.

BSteppa

"Its not a spoiler, its in the book" WE ARE WATCHING THE ANIME DIPSHIT, NOT READING THE LN

BSteppa

If the anime cut it out THAT MEANS THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO KNOW YET. Do you have any common sense dude? You LN readers are so unintelligent its insane. Did you even think for 2 seconds that if they cut it out it will probably be revealed later on in the story? I can no longer watch these reactions cuz of people like you spoiling 24/7 because you think they "missed it". Go fuck yourself

Oliver

It's so funny i used to hate him dying all the time and now since they took Emi i keep saying OKAY YOU GOT INTEL ENOUGH DO IT PRESS THE QUICK LOAD SUBARU

xLithion

I think he promised or resolved to not rely on his restart as much since he saw the alternate timelines and how it hurt everyone around him in those timelines

Lsg_Lani

the 2 lackeys are basically the godskin with a reskin lol
