Finally, you guys got to the episode just a heads up. This show is taking place in the same exact timeline where Peter was supposed to go to Germany to team up with Iron Man to fight team cap but the universe is different where Peter never meets Iron Man but instead he meets Norman just like what happened in episode one when he was walking back into his apartment. It was the exact same scene where he was walking through the hallway that happened in the movie in civil War so this was like a cool Easter egg

The costumes you see are from a comic arc when Spider-Man was frame for murder and taken multiple identities for it until he can clear his name. The last suit (white and blue) is reference to Future foundation. Peter Joins a new team with other members of fantastic 4 due to the passing of Johnny storm.

The white suit is actually from the future foundation run in the comics where spider man joined the fantastic four and he wore a white suit that looks very similar to this suit. My favorite stories in the comics is when Spiderman works with the FF they are like a second family to him at times. Some people feel like they wasted this suit on the show but idk it looks fire I just dont like red they put on it.

The black and white suit it’s actually called the future foundation suit when Spider-Man joined the fantastic floor when the human torch died in the comics and came back to life later on in the story💯💯

Similar but different universe. The apartment scene at the beginning should've clued you in, since that was when Tony recruited Peter for Civil War, not Osborn. Oscorp doesn't exist in the MCU timeline.

Weird thing i noticed but the characters not changing clothes is a bit…out dated in the world of animation. I really hope we continue to move away from it tbh. Not that big a deal but I do think it adds to immersion

I've just finished reading this webtoon called Jungle Juice. It's basically the XMen crossed with Spider-Man. So mutants but with bug powers and the MC has Dragonfly powers in it. Now Peter's Dragonfly suit looks really dope all of a sudden.👌

Dude, this is hardly a spoiler for anything. And this lore wont be coming up in any future seasons or episodes because the FF may not exist in this universe and because this is all about Spider-Man, not any other heroes. The suit is most likely an easter egg for fans of the comics.

Norman is so interesting in this series. He had many impractical costumes for Peter to wear that far from his style; which is a hint that he is difficult to work with and tries to shoehorn his ideals onto Peter. But near the end of the episode, Norman apologized and gave him the suit he needed.

It was actually a reference to one of his alternate identities that he took in in the comics during a time when Spider-Man was a fugitive. The other suits were also references to this.

For anyone wondering, all those failed suits that Spider-Man wore were all references to suits he wore in the comics due to having a bounty on his head. He pretended to be like 4 different heroes to make Spider-Man look good😂

Spider-Man '98 is something that EVERYONE is praying for. They didn't do allll those cameos at the end of X-Men '97 for nothing, they knew what they were doing. The whole Beau Demayo situation definitely messed with their plans though. The 90s VA for Spider-Man, Christopher Daniel Barnes said no one's contacted him at all for anything so nothing yet. But I have to say it's even sadder when you see those 90-second masterfully animated 2D shorts on the Marvel youtube channel where they narrate classic moments from the Spider-Man comics. I get what they were going for with this CGI comic book aesthetic but unless it's super high-budget CGI like Arcane or the Spider-verse films, 2D outdoes it every time. The web-slinging looks fantastic but the stock CGI models in the background of every scene kills me every time.

Yeah there's a lot of problems with how modern media has popularized things about Spider-Man and Batman. In the Spider-Man movies they do it so that you can see the million dollar actors' faces, but here they could have just not. But hey, comic accurate is the last thing this show is so eh lol.

I had my doubts about this show but im thoroughly surprised. Half way through and it definitely exceeded my expectations. It shows that even if you arnt a fan of the animation, the story is always where its at. I genuinely miss spiderman cartoons so this is scratching the itch
