yeah Gluttony has to go

Ariginal

Idk if u guys realized this but Gluttony, is the reason rem is in the vegetable state she's in rn.

TChang23

PEAK hopefully we don’t have to wait long for season 4 I freaking love this series

Duel king

Just to explain Julius lost his name but retained his memories during his offscreen fight with Roy, which is why he remains awake. Rem, on the other hand, had both her name and memories consumed, causing her to fall into a deep sleep. Crusch only lost her memories but not her name because she never revealed it to Gluttony during their battle, allowing her to stay conscious. Gluttony's ability separates names and memories—losing both results in unconsciousness. Names determine how others remember you, while memories define how you remember yourself. Despite this, Subaru can still recall both Rem and Julius due to his unique ability to rewind time. Hope this helps!

Persto

Not sure if you already know but S4 has already been announced so it's fire as hell

BiggestOttoFan

Lye mentioned Rui a few episodes ago and now we finally see her in all her glory. She mentions that one of her brothers just got beat up and the other one only follows the orders of some woman. Lye was the one who got beat up so it's assumed that Roy is the one who is following someone else's orders. We now have a Gluttony trio. Otto has came in clutch every season since he's been introduced and now he's being forced to sit on the sidelines for a bit. He even got hurt protecting Beatrice. The weapon that she and Felt used was apparently a tool of Echidna's. Why did Felt have that? Why does she have a fake name? Questions for later. Sirius has been captured and she warns Subaru that Petelgeuse is inside of him. That there might come a day where he is brought back to the surface. And to beware of Gluttony. Al is once again very suspicious because he's been moving a bunch of pieces in the shadows and doing or saying things he shouldn't know. And we end the season on a happy note. Or, we would. But Julius has a problem. No one knows who he is. When Gluttony was first introduced, we were told they have three ways of consumption. Consuming a name and making others forget that person. Consuming memories and giving that person amnesia. And consuming both. Crusch had her memories eaten and has had amnesia ever since. Rem had her name and memories eaten and became a husk. And now Julius has had his name eaten so no one except Subaru remembers him.

Persto

I love how the JP VA's for Subaru and Emilia commented on being excited about S4 already being confirmed as this season ended and how it's the first time it hasn't been several years of waiting 😭

Jamie See

Season 4 announcement trailer and visual announced!

Cheesecake

Emilia might have given Sirius even more brain damage than she already has with the way she started singing after that hit

Edwin Seda

There are actually three Archbishops of Gluttony. Rui retrieved Lye’s body and Roy looked like he managed to escape.

Isotope

Yea since season four was already in production I’m assuming we’re probably gonna get it like next year and a half or so

Sunlight Hollow

Rui arneb is the “little sister” of the gluttony bros Lye and Roy and the third archbishop of gluttony along with them. She is her own being that can take over one of their bodies and use their powers. When one of them is knocked out she can take over like she did here. The authority of gluttony also has the power to transform you into the different people you’ve eaten

eto

From 4 years wait, to 2 years, to possibly 1 year. We really are getting blessed

Nick

And season 4 just got announced today lets go

Dank Memer

Bro theres 3 Archbishops of Gluttony, Roy, Lye, and Rui/Louise. Ik yall react to multiple shows but this is spelled out for u.

Sauceless

Who’s this guy

Fuji

the way al calls her beako, my sus meter all the way up with this mf

MgGlenn Etienne

This is the wildest theory but what if Al is a future version of Subaru who lost to gluttony and got his name taken.

Ginger Dwarf

Yeah the most fucked up thing is that everyone on the good guys side thinks this was a flawless victtory cause everyone lived. But in reality there are multiple losses they just don't remember them cause of Gluttony.

YaBoyFree

short answer is there are 3 of them lol

Basedra

Nah Nah I’m not forgetting a single person they called sus this season.

MrOuijaII

Recap of Gluttony victims: Crusch: Only memories eaten, she lost her 'self' but people still remember who she is. Julius: Only name eaten, he remembers himself but no one knows who he is Rem: Name and Memories, complete K.O. and is in the deep sleep because of it Fantastic season, I'm glad season 4 got announced quickly, likely wont be another 4 year hiatus.

Amvdere

season 4 got confirmed today, they even released a mini trailer

Just nowis

Pretty sure season 3 was supposed to have 36 episodes, covering arc 5 AND 6, but at the end, they decided to split and do arc 6 as season 4. So I'm pretty sure they are already busy animating, HOPEFULLY, season 4 will come in 1 year time

Damaton

Aw hell nah not again

Dank Memer

Had to hit us with the Rem ptsd at the end, same exact shit with Emilia too.

cmlo

For clarification, they aren't "Forms"; they are separate people. (You should react to the s4 pv trailer!)

Ara Araragi

The star names for each of Archbishops of Gluttony are related to the Three Great Mabeasts created by the Witch of Gluttony: -Lye Batenkaitos (Gourmand): Batenkaitos = "the belly of the whale" = the White Whale -Roy Alphard (Foul Feeding): Alphard = "backbone of the serpent" = the Black Serpent -Rui Arneb (Satiation): Arneb = "hare" = the Great Rabbit

YaHuurdMe

If any of ya'll didn't know, Al is isekai'd just like Subaru and this isn't a spoiler. It was revealed in the ReZero breaktimes for some reason even tho they know no ones watches them.

Amvdere

Gluttony didn't transform that was another gluttony remember in this season they hinted that their might be more than 2 , she even says shes the little sister of them

Joshua Tuggle

im sure they do they mentioned it in the last episode

Rico Ayala

Fam I could be reaching but …what if that’s Rem in Julius …

MonarchXIII

This Julius character looks pretty interesting. But it's kinda weird introducing him so suddenly considering Subaru somehow knows him already. I also don't understand why he was so shocked at the end as well.

Pan Cakes

SEASON 4 TEASER BABY, WE GETTING MORE IN LIKE 2 YEARS LETS GOO

MonarchXIII

Bro's mad at a joke. 😂😂

13

There are 3 Gluttony

BZD

I was totally prepared to see the season end with Ricardo saying “who’s Julius?” And then Subaru’s eyes widen and it cuts to black.

Joni

So is the Lye part of gluttony dead now? Cuz betty used 2 of those precious stones...

Krype

Wow so the only Archbishop they took out was the one I thought would be the most difficult?

WaterYaDune

See y'all in 2029 for season 4 :D

King Rama

Nah, seems like Rui rescued Lye. The body was there in one frame still alive and then it was gone in the next and dude was missing his shins

WaterYaDune

That was the biggest throw of the anime tbh, they should've at least added that scene back in the director's cut

BZD

The little girl was actually another Gluttony’s actually appearance, she’s the Rui that the Gluttony’s has been referencing. The blond guy, my guess is that gluttony can take the appearance of people whose names and memories they ate.

BZD

Are you joking? Actually?

Solemnity

Can all three of them use the all of their abilities? The one fighting Otto ate those guys' names, and Julius lost his name as well.

BZD

The Al is Subaru is apparently an existing theory, i only know it’s a theory though, I guess this may have been where it came from.

local

yoooooooo...what an ending once again

Jalen Holmes

I was confused about gluttony like yall but apparently theres 3 of them 2 older brothers and a little sister which makes sense she said big bro. thats still crazy asf tho they gotta lmao

Ayodeji

Gluttony is 3 siblings with the same abilities

Maxy7maxy

From what I understand the witch cult follow the gospel. So i guess they don’t know why they’re there. They are all simply following the book. It seems the books must be connected for them to tell all the archbishops to come to the city at the same time. Whoever controls /writes the books is the mastermind hence why questioning the arch bishops would be useless.

MgGlenn Etienne

So in the LN/manga they still haven't explored what's up with Al? I had assumed it has finished, is it still on going?

Bona Fide

Thank God the songstress' singing erased Wrath's disgusting crowing lol she clearly lives up to her wrath name cause she was trying to piss off my ears

Bona Fide
>>169035761

they really have crusch still asleep after taking rem. they're taking away all the best girls. who's next? beako? emilia?! stop stressing me out. Taking away julius enough!!! this show is actually just fucking stress bro. I do not feel like we won at all cause why

Bona Fide

Ricardo fine like that bat man from Arcane that had his baby in the other timeline with Ekko and Jinx or is it just me? Hes cute

Keondodge

Was never around when the stupid rem joke was around alot. Sooooo wAs ThErE cUt CoNtEnT? WhOsE JuLiUs?

Orendi

Last Spoiler Free Fun Facts comment for a bit but it's all good since 🎉Season 4 is announced!🎉 Glad people found use in this self indulgent hobby lol. As always click "Read more" to have your screen filled with nerdy ramblings🗣💯 Felt: The Gluttony siblings do get a very bad stomach ache whenever they "eat" a name that isn't the person's parent-given name. Not saying anything here, but keep in mind that Felt was capable of joining the royal selection, meaning she was either of royal blood or the dragon deemed her worthy of the throne (and if you read the EX volume 1 novel at all, which isnt a spoiler, you'd know royal family members are characterized appearance-wise by their golden hair, a fang, and crimson eyes). We know all the royal family members died due to an illness that wiped them out, but we also know that before that happened there was a kidnapping of a royal family member that went unresolved just before the deaths of the royals. And none of this is a spoiler because the topic of Felt's identity has not been touched since this moment in the light novel✌️ :3 Rui Arneb: Rui is one of the Three Gluttony's. There is Rui (Satiation), the blond little sister, Lye (Gourmet), the eye-covering 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 big brother, and finally Roy (Bizzare Eating), The ponytail-havin' momma's boy (he has a weird relationship with Capella after she turned him into a fly and transfigured him back, causing him to become extremely obedient and dependent on her, calling her "mama"). Rui used either a skill or wind magic to skin Dynas and Otto's legs. She had taken control of Lye's body once he was unconscious in order to take him away, though for the life of me I cannot remember why the hell the One Piece Okama/Average Jojo Villain transformation was necessary. Tappei, the author, said on twitter about it: "The supposedly defeated Gluttony has been transformed into a big gay character! what is the reality of this phenomenon?!" which like aight someone give my author his meds 😭 Garfiel: I have nothing to say rly I just really love this dude's character arc this,,, arc. like he was seriously the MVP when I read the light novel and White Fox did him justice i feel. Sirius: "None of the archbishops like each other" is a fair assumption. There are some exceptions, but their objectives never align except for when they follow the gospel. The gospel is absolute, and bigger than their sins or authority or identity. They follow the gospel which leads them down their "best possible future" and use their authority for their own selfish reasons as well. Betelgeuse was the one archbishop fully devoted to bringing the witch back, but that was also his own selfish ambition, because he idolized her existence and it's not what the witch even wants. That's what Sirius means when she says everything she does is for Betelgeuse. Because it really is. She sings terribly, which is symbolic of how in reality, she's a psychopath who has no idea how understandings are made between people, or how love blooms. Easy agitation and malice and frustration won't ever lead to positive communication- patience will. Its why she could never make betelgeuse understand her love/fall under her authority. And, if the theories are right (its the worst kept secret in Re:zero atp), it's an almost tragic reflection of how Fortuna never could get her feelings across to Geuse, not because she was impatient like Sirius, but because she waited too long. Fortuna and Geuse were a tragic love story of two virtuous and pure souls damned by the cult. RAHHHHHH!!👹👹👹 if you've reached this point, I'd like to give a technical spoiler warning? it's stuff that was cut from the adaptation of this arc and will probably be in season 4's first episode as a flashback, so they would've already happened during the events of this episode, but just wasn't shown, or was altered. If you're interested in being in the loop, read on! If you wanna experience the anime completely blind however, disregard the rest! Subaru: Subaru has a unique ability along with Return by Death, which seems to be the ability to absorb multiple witch factors at once. Normally, when all character with a witch factor is killed, the person who kills them receives it, or if there were multiple killers, it goes to whoever has the stronger affinity for the factor. Subaru has a strong affinity for witch factors already, and has a unique ability to hold more than one witch factor, and for most people, absorbing one alone would be too much for their soul to bear, like we saw in Geuse's case. Subaru killed Betelgeuse, and absorbed his Witch factor of Sloth, and in season 2, Echidna had essentially been grooming Subaru in order to be able to adjust to the witch factors of Sloth and Greed. After he adjusted enough to it, the witch factor bore fruit in the form of an authority, that being Invisible Providence (Unseen hand: Subaru edition). Then, in just the next arc, Subaru kills Regulus... yeah Echidna, not suspicious at all... (or maybe the strengthening of the greed witch factor was just so that he could do the stuff with the Ryuzu clones in season 2 and remember Echidna and I'm just overtheorizing lollll anyway...) The Solution to Lust/Gluttony's Effects: The conversation with everyone in the city hall about how to save the victims of Gluttony and Lust had gone about the same in the light novel, with the exception of a couple things: Felt was initially against keeping Sirius alive, though she cares about Reinhard, so she's a real ride or die fr. Subaru's memory of Gluttony victims is what lead him to taking the lead in the conversation, as well as his king von levels of hatred towards the cult. Lust was a whole other issue, but Gluttony was a feasible thing to go after, and Anastasia Mentioned the idea of going to see the Great Sage, Shaula for knowledge. This is omitted in the anime, along with another extremely important scene, but I feel these two scenes will be flashback-exposition-dump'd during ep 1 of season 4. You'd think they'd leave that part in as like, cliffhanger stuff but meh it's all good. Ricardo and Julius: The scene i was looking forward to all season, and it was adapted completely differently from the novel LMAOO😭. But i don't hate it at all. Unlike a lot of other greedy ass Re:zero fans i see the anime as it's own project and I think it's how It should be viewed- a passion project of sorts. In the novel, The results of Julius and Ricardo's fight with Gluttony are revealed BEFORE the meeting, and they are present at the meeting and, surprise, a lot of very awkward and despairing dialogue ensues between a man and his colleagues who have all forgotten him. In the anime, they use a running anime-only trend White Fox has been using this season in Re:Zero, which is the communication of ideas through facial expressions. We saw it before, when Subaru said Emilia's name in a serious, yet calming tone during the fight with Regulus when she was about to have Subaru cut her down. She knew from his voice alone that it'd be okay, which is an anime-only way of conveying a canon trait between them, but also their general relationship quirks. Emilia smiles, calming Subaru, then Subaru looks at Julius, which startles him and makes him feel like something really is wrong, then Emilia looks at Subaru and sees he's not smiling, and feels off as well. I love these small special things that White Fox does, like with the symbolism of eyes within the anime. In the light novel, on the other hand, Anastasia is tending to Ricardo after he lost his arm and wasn't able to retrieve it to reconnect it using healing magic. Julius was the one who brought him to Anastasia, but they left him behind and didn't consider his health, which caused him to run off alone. Subaru spotted him and reached out, trying to banter like they usually do. Then, Julius is surprised yet relieved when Subaru calls his name. Emilia and Beatrice are both with him, and say something equally cold for Julius to hear from acquaintances. Subaru relives an old trauma of seeing someone be forgotten, but in a more twisted way, where they have to experience it. Juli, the Nameless Knight: Julius' extensive and very personal relationship with Reinhard and Ferris was cut off, and he lost his title as The Finest Knight, literally a shadow of his former glory, with no name attached to his face. To me, he's a play on the idea that Chivalry is a dead art, and that gets elaborated on in the future. Not to mention, the woman he dedicated his life to serve has forgotten him. All he has left is the sword on his side, and a reckless ally that he's unsure if he can call a friend. A little after the meeting, I believe, Subaru and Julius talk where Julius asks him, depressed, "Which do you think is a worse fate, having the world forget you, or forgetting the world?" to which Subaru replies in anger of having been asked such a dumb question. He criticizes Julius for letting this knock him down and calls him pathetic, before lifting him up by saying something along the lines of "Even if no one else remembers the shame you put me through in that stadium, I remember. And I remember your strength." It's a very touching moment for the two of them, and helps build their friendship up a lot more from the stagnant place it was at. Not only that but... The Hero, Natsuki Subaru: The scene sheds light on the fact that because Julius' existence was erased, everyone only remembers Subaru as a miracle worker of sorts. They don't remember him as a weirdo who bombed the royal selection and made it about himself before getting his ass beat and then defeating the White Whale and a sin archbishop within like a week. They only remember the good, not the bad. And after this arc, more clever and tricky characters will appear. Not people kind enough as the emilia camp to turn a blind eye to the weird shit Subaru is capable of because "Subaru will be Subaru." Is he really just a miracle worker who has no known place of origin yet arrives seemingly unprecedented during one of the most politically restless times in history in order to help the people? Is he affiliated with the Witch's cult, because of his extensive knowledge and particular hatred for them? Or is he a weirdo, carefully manipulating Emilia's power and emotions of the people around him to get what he wants? How does he seem to always know what to do? Can he be trusted? Can he be used? Who is Natsuki Subaru? And that's the question arc 5 leaves with regards to Subaru's development as a character. Arc 6 is the answer to it, so I won't say much about it. I do urge people to watch the season 4 pv trailer though! it's cute and short, but I watched it at least twenty times this morning.

Baren Nerab

Yo Season 4 just got announced! It looked like S3 and S4 were suppose to be together, so hopefully it wont take too long of a time to release, lets get those names back!

Ambridge

It's still on going but there was 100% a pretty huge reveal about Al and who he is connected to and you would 1000% know who it is Only thing we know is Al has a star name like every archbishop, but his identity nope we don't know but the recent Arc in the novels is the Al Arc so novel readers hopefully finally know who Al actually is. But he is 100% connected to Subaru very deeply.

Nico

The credits started rolling and they hadn’t shown Julius or Ricardo yet was scaring me….but this is horrible. Not my boy Julius 😭

Friendly Elites

Not this time, it was being made along with 3 so it should be out next year or the one after at the latest.

MrOuijaII

Don't get the issue with asking about cut content? Nothing wrong with wanting the adaption to ADAPT MORE of the source material, its a pretty dense series. Also it can make people interested in reading the LN to see more of what they missed, which is also a plus.

Keondodge

Feel like some of those things can be mentioned in the beginning of s4 so they could be spoilers ngl.

Keondodge

Nah they need to keep the flow going with emelia doing the reveal.

Keondodge

Crazy to get immediately heated over a joke. Some guy even misunderstood what I said and thought I was actually complaining.

Orendi

a lot of these things probably will be mentioned as a sort of flashback thing in season 4 episode 1, but It's that weird gray area that season 1 dealt with as well. I'm referring to how outside of the directors cut, Rem's memories being eaten was an arc 3 event, but was adapted in season 2, which adapts arc 4. would explaining that it happened be spoilers do you think? Last thing I wanna do is ruin someone's experience of this story so

Keondodge

Yo i tried to make it a little more clear. But it was a joke..... Ok just in case You could be jokin to ill leave this here....

JTUltima

Season 3 was originally gonna be 38 episodes but they ended up splitting it up because of management issues so they were already working on some of season 4 before this so it should come out much sooner than you might think my guess is next year

kingBD

So the only way to read this online is the light novel? Only asking because as a person who hates to read normal type books aka no pictures lmao im a visual learner

pablo

The manga is barley starting this arc and there is the web novel which is more up to date

Unknown

I get the feeling that in every show, the editor reads what the majority of comments say and delivers the info to Roshi. Cus the fact that Roshi knows what we say in the comments without getting spoiled is very low if he reads em

Unknown

With enough training, i think Wrath can sing as good as Lilianna

Unknown

Cut content? Nah man. The writers just randomly decided to add a random ass “friend” character for Subaru for some reason i think. Next season might be about what happened to this Julius, cus he seemed really out of it. Kinda excited to learn about a new character ngl

GJ

Theirs the web novel which is basically like the first version of the story. It just has more details/bloating compared to the light novel but it’s entirely free atleast. You can read it on witch cult translations, this season ended on arc 5 chapter 77 I’m pretty sure!

AP STP

Yeah that's most likely how they get info

Koji

liliana reminds me of hachikuji lol

Eris Greyrat

Want to have my dick squeezed by betty’s small cute hand

Skebaba

Bruh visual learners literally EXCEL at learning via text (as opposed to auditory learning & hands-on learning, the other 2 types of the trifecta)...

Lildreezy

Gluttony was not transforming Itz 3 siblings with different powers

ERRORCODE616

It's most likely because he has Satella's "love" protecting him from the indirect effects of other Authorities that he can still remember Rem and Julius. Either that or it's because he has both the Sloth and Greed Witch Factors now. Or both. Man, I need Season 4 immediately. They already announced that it's in production, and Arc 6 is fully published in light novel form, so hopefully there'll be less of a gap before it gets released in anime form.

TrinitytheApostle

It was in the chibi shorts that also released weekly with the show called REZERO BREAKTIME. But yeah definitely sucks it wasn't in the main anime

ERRORCODE616

It didn't even occur to me that erasing Julius from everyone's memories would alter their perception of Subaru since they no longer remember their fight at the royal selection. I wonder how that would affect things like historians and record keeping. Like if there's a written account of someone doing something major for the kingdom, but their name and memories get eaten, does that record cease to exist?

Orendi

If i had to guess, the record would cease to exist but I don't think it would undo everything they've done. rather everything they've done would either have been done by someone/something else or it'd be considered a bit of lost history

Krype

What does he get for having the Greed witch factor I don't remember

ERRORCODE616

We don’t know yet. Sloth gave him Unseen Hand/Invisible Providence, but I haven’t read past where we are in the anime, so I have no idea what Greed is gonna do for him.

E

Pretty sure he is the editor

vavedev

He gets Cor Leonis, allows him to take on the physical and mental burdens and fatigue of people he himself considers allies, effectively eliminating problems such as injuries or lack of dexterity for his comrades in combat

vavedev

That's the base form but 2nd form of the Lion Heart allows subaru to distribute his physical and mental burdens to allies, kinda the opposite of the base form

Adude

Is there anything you can say about what Al recognised about Anastasia in the previous episode?

thatNEET_

Emilia herself was frozen but kept alive for a long time by her own "cold sleep". It basically acts like suspended animation rather than actual ice.

Ambridge

The stupid Rem joke was because of the fucking BACKLASH and hate Emilia got during 2016-2021 by bunch of Rem tards to a point so many who didn't even watch Rezero hated Emilia and loved Rem because out of clips of Zero speech and Subaru loving her and Rem being told by Subaru he loves Emilia and wants to be with her. It was so bad that even on Reddit you would get banned for even posting an Emilia pic in 2016. You were only allowed to literally shit on her character. They even did constant death threats on the author, purposely trying to ruin Frozen Bond rating. Emilia was literally considered one of the most hated female characters in anime history. Just how pathetic it had to get that people had to make sites highlighting all of Emilia's positive things, why Subaru loves her etc. Rem stans getting trolled by Whos Rem is deserved for the shit they did.

Keondodge

Jesus i never knew that. Hella fked up. But never actually heard about that side of it.

Keondodge

Fr, kinda weird to introduce a new character at the last ep but fk it we ball. Also kinda weird how both him and this rem chick is on the s4 poster. But glad to know we finna know about them soon

Joshua Lopez

To be fair, Lye did turn into Rui in that scene so it's hard to differentiate the whole details of how the three work with just the one scene to go off of.

jinx

He can take pain from other people and some other thing that i can't remember

mina
>>169037147

thats so strange. If it was written i feel like the written account would still exist but ppl just wouldnt remember, no? Because it's effecting people's memory but not the actual event, as far as i understand from the show so far i could v well be wrong

Deiondre0

I mean this unironically, but I just rewatched the first episode of the season and I totally forgot we already met Julius’ brother

kidnamedfinger10321

idk, not trying to hate or anything and i could be completely wrong but it just seems like you guys don't really like the show, with lupa being the most obviously bored. just saying y'all don't have to force yourselves

Orendi

remember how when rem was wiped from existence by the white whale, all of her achievements were as well? as in, the mabeast fight in arc 2 was a joint collaboration between Subaru and Ram alone, rather than having anything to do with Rem. and not to mention, anything that was hers or was attributed to her, such as her room, was erased from existence as well, and replaced as if it was never there. these were both confirmed when Subaru met ram in arc 3 after being brought back to the mansion by the village children during one of the loops. Putting all this together, I feel like its easier to think about it like this: when a name is eaten, it erases the proof of the person's existence outside of themselves. when their memories are eaten, it removes proof of their existence within themselves.

Orendi

What Al was suspicious of is the fact that Anastasia used magic to fend off Capella, which is something that, from his sources (wherever he obtained them from), she should be unable to do. Which she isn't. She was born with a defective gate, meaning her gate can't process mana and transform it to magic. it's similar to Subaru's affliction, only he consciously broke his gate through overuse. Subaru is able to use magic because of his contract with Beatrice as something of a vessel for mana. To Al, this means that can't be Anastasia. But it couldn't be Capella either. that's all I feel like I can say without crossing technical-spoiler territory

Nikk

Yeah it kinda feels like they are falling off of this show a bit. And you are right they do seem kinda bored at least these last 2 episodes. When I finished watching the reaction I was like damn they didn't seem to enjoy it.

DomItAll Games

I think it's odd Julius knows who he is and Crusch doesn't know who she is...I might need to refresh myself on that one.

DomItAll Games

I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with eating the "name" vs eating the "memories"? So Julius only has his memories, not his name, but Crusch has her name but not her memories? Idk, I'm just gonna watch it again right before the next season comes out.

Clinton the Bingethinker

So after this episode, I’m more sure than ever that the bandaged wrath lady is Mother Fortuna, based on her obsession with Petelgeuse. (I’ve only seen the show, please no spoilers if the answer is in the writtens)

Unknown

Oh shit, did they fire their editor? I don’t watch their YT

Lūthér Hölâyèãhmé

I do not like this new season at all. It doesn't feel like the first season.

Aniki Pft

Lupa ass be using Re:Zero reactions to catch a quick nap and shit. I get it though, peak so peak it be having niggas too stunned to stay awake type shit.

Dane

As a fellow anime only person I agree based on hair/stature and obsession.

Diggs

There are two different forms of eating names which causes different results that we've seen. Eating a name makes everyone forget you, eating your memories makes you forget who you are and having both eaten causes you to go into a coma. As we now see Rem had both her name and memories eaten,Crusch had just her memories eaten and finally Julius had his name eaten. We also see that Julius's younger brother had his name eaten as well which caused there to be a gap in Julius's memories.

Diggs

I doubt it but we also wouldn't know without him telling us

Envyus

I don't think they are the same person. I think Sirius might be trying to modify herself to resemble Fortuna however.

P. A.

Maybe its just me, but if i am to draw a parallel, this season is somewhat what became of guts in berserk after he started having his own "band of the hawk". Before when he was on his own, the chapters had a different vibe and depth, where he had to deal with everything on his own, ending in brutal and edgy scenarios. (ex. the fairy apostle). Now Subaru has friends he can rely on and not depend as much on return by death to solve different scenarios and reach the happy ending he envisions. Personally, I liked this season, not as much as before, but because i am learning more about the world itself, background of different characters, the subtle hints that lead to many more questions, like for ex. who is Wrath, who is Al, why is the witch hidden underneath the city actually the previous witch of Pride met at the Tea Party, why does Felt have a staff that was hinted by Beatrice to be Echidna's staff, why is the estate and dishes owned by Anastasia in ep. 1 japanese style, Pandora pulling the strings behind the scene and the list goes on. Also, the last 2 episodes with the 3 gluttonies, the translations were god awful, they actually fked up how to discern the abilities of the gluttonies and some of the names which were actually relevant if u look into it.

P. A.

Or maybe its simply because the season was more action oriented and we had only 2 archbishops and an 8 armed man getting budget.

If your name is eaten everyone forgets you, if your memories get eaten you become amnesiac, if both are eaten you become like Rem

Ukaede

If Lupa was watching this show on its own he would be so cooked man, he is getting carried by Roshi and Sheera LOL

I think gluttony has 3 abilities for the different siblings

The web novel is written fairly plainly so its not a difficult read by any margin, and since its essentially only a rough draft for the story you can read it and still watch the anime and see new stuff because the anime follows the officially published light novels. witchculttranslation.com if you want to read it

For anyone who feels compelled to either read ahead or go back to see cut or changed content you can read the translated WN release up to the recently released Arc 9 chapters on witchculttranslation.com and if you're interested in picking up where season 3 ends off that'll be Arc 5 Chapter 74. Be aware when reading that Arc 6-8 make up enough for 2-3 full seasons of the anime so the further the read the longer you'll be waiting for the adaptation.

Silverhawk

Man this season was lit too 😭 can’t wait for S4

Orendi

the seasons might "feel different" because of the changes in direction and staff of white fox, but re:zero is still peak. as someone who enjoys both the light novel and anime, i consider them two vastly different experiences, so criticisms like that towards the anime are understandable, but it's unfortunate that it shapes the perspective of the story as a whole for some people.

William Morris

bro rezero came out 9 years ago I don't remember half the stuff either. they don't rewatch shows and rightfully so. he's lost because the animators are taking their sweet time releasing seasons.

Damn, Subaru barely died this arc, just at the beginning. I wonder if they're gonna get into a tempo of not relying on Returnal for a few arcs before forcing him to die like 10,000 times or some crazy shit like that.

Qkwauzh

Probably, or in Tappei style, Subaru might get nerfed. Since ofc Subaru need MORE suffering smh. In all seriousness though, I don't think Subaru gonna be free from RBD anytime soon

squashy_wind3

I know this is late but be ready for arc 6, hes gonna die ALOT and very gruesomely.
