I agree but at the same time, is it? its more in line with the thinking of the cautious version of Joe from earlier seasons, I think he did it cause he was slightly suspicious of Bronte when she temporarily put him in the cage for their little therapy session.

Joe is a very precautious person when he wants to be. In season 3 he prepared for love poisoning him with his food and had a antidote. The fact that Joe and Kate were beefing in the first place made joe prepare just in case he ended up in the cage somehow.

day 3 of asking for lord of the mysteries reactions (releases in july). its by a rly good animation studio and based on a Chinese novel (which is amazing ). Its setting is inspired by bloodborne and lovecraftian lore!! there's even a couple of references to bloodborne, and there's gonna be a new game based on it released soon. if u guys play the game at some point the anime would be cool to react to before ^^

i’m ngl this season has been very mixed. this should’ve been where joe and kate died, but SOMEHOW bronte got thru that fire that has been burning for minutes already where she got in with no burn marks or didn’t breathe in any smoke, all while doing it again but with carrying joe. mind you, joe should be dead from that blood loss lmao. this is one of the stupidest things this show has done imo.

So here's my explanation for the key in the arm thing, Bro was just in the cage when bronte locked him in there last episode. And we see the next day when they are in the bed in the beginning he had the bandage around his arm. So its like okay just in case im locked in here i need to do that.
