Roshi, Rudo can't do nothing at the end. That vital instrument can detect hostile intent and redirect enemy's movement, which means it is useless when the enemy immobilizes. Rudo hit Jabber that hard because of the momentum he was going at him, but he took like 20 of them but still yapping so taking a few more normal hits when he was talking wouldn't do shit.

The rudo crying scene is why I love this show it shows me his motive for why he loves all objects he sees himself in them. Rudo thinks if someone is thrown away or discarded it has no value and he relates that to how his parents left him. So like another goat Naruto he wants to be the affection/emotion he didn’t receive. He wants to take care of things people deem worthless and I think that’s cool
