Rock got the red suit guy’s son killed, and now red suit guy is partly on a revenge quest using all the hero’s he can, and partly sees his son in Nice, trying to groom him. That’s why Nice’s persona revolves around perfection, because red suit guy uses Nice as a replacement for his son, and wants him to be perfect, while at the same time using Nice in his schemes to fuck up Rock, while Rock is using Dragon Boy to bring back his father, and Rock also has ESoul doing fuck shit like murdering moon, which I generally believe was Rock making moves against God Eye, because a villain like God Eye could completely fuck up Rock’s plan of making Dragon Boy a god, and Moon is living proof of the scandal surrounding the replacement of Nice, which was neatly swept under the rug with the arrest of God Eye and creation of The Commoner. Meanwhile, Micky and news reporter guy are taking their time seeing how Rock and Red Suit handle everything, and Micky has both Queen and Cyan on his side, luck and order. He’s playing the long game. Ghostblade and Little Johnny are honestly just cannon fodder, but the connection between those two, as well as Big Johnny being a massive threat, and it’s looking like season 2 is going to feel like season 2 of arcane, with a fucking war breaking out. And we haven’t even been introduced to the goddamn dog yet!

Okay, so now that we know the organization takes out X’s. Maybe the whole reason behind the plane crash with Cyan was the commission killing Vortex. They said he was on the plane, so it was probably perfect for them. Even though Vortex got whooped by little Johnny, my thought process is that they couldn’t take the chance of him gaining a new following or they felt like he still had a good enough shot to win the hero competition again. Also Keeping it going so you guys see it, but the flashback was to the new E-Soul’s best friend who was the son of the CEO(Nice’s manager/guy in red suit). The manager wants to use nice to get revenge for his son and get rid of E soul and Rock.

Gotta say, it's making a lot of sense why the original Nice offed himself now. Over-bearing manager, fake controlled life, fake hero persona, unhinged boss, constant media exposure, and now, contributing in the downfall and maybe death of his childhood hero, the one who inspired him to be a hero in the first place. Like Queen was for Lo Li. When all that came crashing down, it got too much and he jumped.

I think the X- tournament happens every 2 years. So the tournament where Queen got 1 shot by X happened, the Bowa fight caused her to miss another tournament and then the ruin Incident got another canceled. So X going into the current time Line with the Commoner will be his 8th year as X if he wins and probably what season 2 will cover.

Wow. After this episode, I truly see the incredible writing and thoughtful direction put into this series. Chinese anime definitely set themselves apart with their writing. And the animation has been solid too.

I dont know why nobody noticed this yet, but I believe dragon boys powers are absorbing trust value from others. In the first scene he gets beat up and his trust value goes up and he becomes strong enough to beat them. Same thing with the fight against smile, smile has a moment where he isn't smiling because his TV is getting drained while normally he's forced to smile because of it.

Ok, so i guess this explains what happened in nice's arc. Old nice did something to smile which screwed rocks's plan over and instead of using dragon boy to get payback, he used e-soul instead kill nice's gf. Remember what rocks said about bringing too much attention. Being in the same branch of work with nice's CEO, he probably found out that Moon was still alive and used e-soul to deal with the matter. Instead of using dragon boy which has attention drawn to him due to ppl being present at his fight with smile, he used e-soul instead and deal a blow that hurts nice more than killing him.

So, about the daughter's picture, the English dub actually indicates that the daughter has no SOLO pictures of her smiling. The sub omits the solo part for some reason. In reality, the daughter only smiles when she's in pictures with other people.

I haven't had any issues with the timeline distinguishing which Nice it is, considering the old Nice is ... dead lmao and Lin Ling hasn't yet made a reappearance. E-soul's timeline, however, I'm a little more confused about. Should I just assume all of his appearances since his / their spotlight eps are Yang Cheng, or is Yang Cheng on par with Lin Ling as far as not making a reappearance until later? I'm pretty sure that was Yang Cheng (New E-soul)'s friend dead in the street though. Shang I think? The CEO is his dad and that's why they did the abrupt hard cut.
